NO SUPPORT FOR EXCEL TO SMS PLUGIN
Great experience until now. But after sudden discontinuation of Excel SMS plugin, its use is limited and very tiresome to send sms. All my formulas and setting to send pre configured message through Excel is of no use now.
It is really not good to know about discontinued support for the Excel to SMS plugin. We send daily absentees messages to parents daily, for this purpose we use customized message for each of the absent students through excel formula based on its admission number and send it through the plugin. But it is not so much easy through merge field process:
1. First we get the absentees admission number, add it to excel and populate the name and mobile number.
2. Then convert it to csv format as per textlocal requirement.
3. Delete the existing contacts in the Absent contact group.
4. upload the current list.
5. send sms using the merge field option.
Please Please Please provide the plugin option to send sms through excel file directly.
