I have been a lawyer for over 40 years and was a trial judge for nearly ten years. I have seen lots of scams and wrongdoing. However words simply cannot express my disappointment and utter shock with how this company The American Ghostwriting mishandled my project AND my money. I submitted a complete manuscript with an expectation that these folks could make it stronger and get it ready for publication. The result was the opposite. Members of the team assigned to my project kept changing weekly, language barriers hindered efficeint verbal communications, provided multiple incompetent rewrites of portions of my manuscript, failed/refused to listen to and honor my requests, inexperienced writers who made my product worse, constantly trying to upsell services I didnt need and...they negotiated aggressively with me to secure a partial refund. Again after months have gone by, they simply never sent my money back. The American Ghostwriting company and "my team" have gone ghost (no pun intended) on returning one single penny of my 9k fee for service. If more money was at stake, I would resort to litigation to hold these folks accountable. But they win and have kept my money. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS FOR ANYTHING. You would do better doing it on your own. STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN GHOSTWRITING!!! Trust me, you will regret it.

I paid $2,500 for book marketing last January with a guarantee of my money back and a full accounting of book sales. To date, no accounting, and I have not received my money back. Worse, I paid for four more books to be published and nothing has been done.

Let me warn you now, avoid American Ghostwriting. Visiting their site was a mistake I can’t undo, but hopefully I can save someone else the trouble

I first interacted with this company years ago, circa 2021, out of curiosity, because I had a half-baked story in mind. Never pulled the trigger, because I couldn’t afford it at the time. I have repeatedly requested, to multiple agents, that they stop contacting me and remove my number from their marketing lists.

Despite multiple requests over several years, I continued receiving unsolicited texts and promotional outreach from different representatives. Most recently, I was contacted again on May 12, 2026, after previously asking to be removed in February 2026, and countless times before that.

If you give this company your contact information, be aware that you may be signing up for potential long term unsolicited contact, and that opting out may not stop future marketing messages.

I strongly recommend keeping records of all communications, in case you do ask them to stop contacting you, and being cautious before sharing your phone number.

They made my book with AI..a lots of mistakes.
Because most of those guys don't know English well.
Then squeeze out of me as much as possible money.
Harassed me if im not paid them for ISBN numbers...they terminated my book.
In reality ISBN number gives you free.
Fraud and crooks.
