Thecatprooffencecompany Reviews

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. We wanted to give our Siberian cat outdoor freedom without the constant worry, and Daniel and Jim provided the perfect solution. They were incredibly professional, polite, and worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect. They even designed a bespoke canopy around our trees so our cat can still safely enjoy tree climbing without any risk of escape. The brackets and netting are robust, high-quality, and blend into the garden beautifully. If you want to keep your pets safe while letting them enjoy the fresh air, I cannot recommend this company enough.

So happy I did this, wished I had done it sooner ! Dan was great, I contacted 2 other companies Dan was the most thorough and gave a detailed plan and we discussed the best option. During the completion Dan suggested an alternative regarding the bins which could have been a launch point. A Canopy was put in place. I can now take out the reycycling and hang my washing outside! A luxury!
My Russian Blue Phoenix is so happy to roam the garden. Dan is a very busy man so get in early!

Brilliant service. We contacted other cat fencing companies but they either didn’t get back to us or quoted a lot more. Dan fitted us in around other jobs as we wanted it done before summer.

So glad we had it done. Dexter has been an indoor cat for most of his life as we used to live near a busy main road. When we moved, we saw the garden was perfect for cat proofing. Wasn’t sure what he would think to it but Dexter took to it quickly. He loves exploring outside and we love it knowing he is safe out there.

Great service and product. My cats are so much happier now they are safe from interlopers

The prices for cat proofing through The Cat Proof Fence Company are reasonable. Dan was very responsive via email to answer queries. He spotted that I ordered the wrong cable ties and placed the correct ones for the mesh with my package.
It's small details like that that make you feel like your custom is valued and warrants a 5* review.

I contacted Dan after being let down by another cat fencing company and I am now relieved for that happening!

Dan phoned me and was able to provide all information, answer any questions and give a quote within 24 hours. He also managed to fit us into his schedule whilst he came to Glasgow for another job. He kept in touch on WhatsApp and sent over videos and drawings of what he had in mind for our garden.

Fast forward 3-4 days and our 3 cats now have outdoor access and we have peace of mind. A lovely business run by a professional. Thank you Dan.

I had cat proofed my garden, with fencing bought elsewhere, but have a real problem with one of my cats escaping, I needed to order extra long brackets, so googled company’s and this one popped up. So I placed an order around 12.30 yesterday. I received a call from Daniel to tell me he was heading my way, on the south coast, and could drop my order to me, so by 6pm I had my order!!! Absolutely outstanding customer service. Really wish I had found this company a month ago before ordering elsewhere.
Daniel came in and I showed him where the problem was and he has advised me what I need to do.
Thank you Daniel, it was a pleasure to meet you.

I bought and install the kit few months ago and until yesterday it worked perfectly! However one of my cats found a weak area and escaped yesterday . Now cats are miserable because they are kept indoors. I contacted Daniel and additional brackets were sent immediately with fast service! I am very impressed, this company provides personal service. Thank you Daniel!

Very happy with product, at a good price. Would definitely recommend and use again!

Dan and his colleague came to me in south wales, i was very impressed with both of them. Very polite, tidy and treated my home with respect, Dan was very cautious of my cats getting out aswell. Dan also had his very first welsh cake Im so happy with the work done, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Excellent job.
Thankyou both.

Absolutely outstanding! This is the company if you want your garden cat proofed. Not only are the materials of top quality but the communication and instructions or just how it will be completed is exceptional. I chose the DIY option and had all of the materials sent to me and Dan was so helpful, clear and friendly that I was able to pop him a message if I needed to. I now have two ragdolls that are incredibly happy and more importantly, safe to use their new garden.
I can't praise Dan and The Cat Proof Fence Company enough, thank you!!

Excellent product and service.
Dan kept us up to date with the progress of the order and gave us helpful andvice on our DIY installation.

I already had a catio but due to age it needed some repairs and wanted to add some extra enrichment for the feline family. Met Dan at The Cat Show Live 2025, and asked some advice regarding repairs and what could be added to the space. We had a couple of FaceTime calls so he could see the space, take into account what I wanted, and also give his perspective on what might work. I received a detailed quote quickly with plans and cost.Dan kept in touch throughout the planning process. Once a date was agreed he arrived when he said he would, and completed the build with no disruption and. The most important thing for me is that cats love it, and I know they are safe.
Dan did exactly what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do did, which it made it easy for me to plan around. Excellent experience.

We contacted The Cat Proof Fence Company around Christmas as we had just adopted our two little Beans and wanted to secure the garden to allow them space to roam whilst keeping them safe. There are a large number of cats and dogs in our area and the girls are so small and had been indoor cats previously so we wanted to make sure they were safe.

We contacted several other pet fence companies at the same time to enquire and ask for quotes.

A well-known pet fence company provided an outrageous quote based nothing other than a satellite Google search, and we didn’t hear from either of the other companies we contacted.

Daniel, from The Cat Proof Fence Company did get back to us really quickly – and we sent the requested information, photos, dimensions of the garden etc and received a very detailed quote based on the different levels in our garden, garden furniture, as well as the breed of our cats!

We were impressed and more than happy with the level of detail given in the responses and voice notes, as well as the quote and went ahead with booking in at the end of March 2026.

Daniel came a day earlier than initially planned to start the job, bring equipment etc – unfortunately we had some issues with the neighbours who, although had given their consent months prior, became upset about “Their View” being disrupted by the posts being installed. Daniel took this in his stride and gave alternatives – this meant the original plan had to be re-thought for a part of our garden and most of the work he and his colleague had done on the Sunday had to be undone on Monday when replacing the posts and brackets with brackets with a lower angle to keep the neighbours “happy”.

Although we were given an estimate of 6 days, the work was completed within 4/5.

Everything was thought of – including a zip in the pet fencing so we can still access behind our out-building – and we can leave this open to provide an escape route for cats that may get into the garden when we’re on away from home.

Daniel mostly worked on his own and was really thorough, especially on the last day, checking and rechecking everything to make sure all points of “escape” were blocked off. We let the girls out for the first time whilst Daniel was still here and it was lovely to see them in the garden.

We both spoke to Daniel many times over the week. He clearly has a love for cats, and has cat proofed his own garden to keep his little terrors safe! This is clearly a business he feels passionate about which has given us peace of mind about our girls' safety.

He also gave us some ideas for catifying some of the areas in our garden, and has left us with spare netting in case we choose to set up a smaller area for them to go outside without supervision (also his idea)

Unfortunately, the weather has still been a bit cold but our girls have been really enjoying exploring and playing outside, and cry to be let out when we get up in the morning. We’re looking forward to enjoying the summer, knowing our girls are safe.

Thanks so much to Dan!! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you and your company to anyone looking to cat proof their garden 😊

High quality construction, excellent service

Dan and his team were polite, easy to talk to and knowledgable about their work. Hard working and thorough. The cat fencing with gates that they installed for me is a quality product. Our cats love their new outdoor space to play and explore, and it gives the security and safety that I desired.

Met Dan after having a brief chat with him at the Cat Show.
Dan was very patient when I put things on hold due to death of my mother.
He arrived on the due date - with his dad helping- and was a pleasure to deal with. He worked quickly and efficiently and left no mess.
We already had a cat fence with insecure spinners on top so Dan devised a way to attach the curved mesh top pieces. Also attaching some mesh to the bottom of a gate that the older cat was too fat to get under - but not the kittens.! Would whole heartedly recommend him.

A great service from start to finish. Excellent communication from Daniel with updates throughout.
The products are well made and robust enough to do the job. I look forward to seeing them in place and my garden secure for my cats.

Dan was great from initial consult to providing a detailed plan and plan he components we need for our self install. Any hiccups we came across installing he was at the end of the WhatsApp chat with advice and solutions. Would highly recommend, so far the little escape artistes have not bypassed the installation and are safely enjoying the garden.

Brilliant service.
I had a phone call from Dan within the day of placing an order to make sure I had everything I needed & messages to discuss solutions & ideas. It’s rare these days to find such personal service so I can highly recommend.
