Thecatprooffencecompany Reviews

I had an excellent experience working with Dan from Thecatprooffencecompany, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

From the very beginning, Dan was incredibly thorough and professional. Before the installation, he spent considerable time with me on the phone carefully planning the project. He even created a detailed PDF showing exactly how the fence would look in my garden, which helped me visualize the final result.

Since he lives outside London, Dan suggested doing a video call from my garden so he could assess the space properly. During the call he patiently guided me through measuring the area and used that information to plan the exact posts, brackets, and materials required. It was clear that he takes meticulous care to get things right before even arriving on site.

His quote was also very reasonable and noticeably lower than other companies I had spoken to, including Protect-a-Pet and similar providers.

On the installation day, Dan arrived exactly on time and worked incredibly hard despite rain and challenging weather conditions. The fence he installed is strong, discreet, and perfect for keeping my four indoor cats safe in the garden while still looking unobtrusive.

Dan also helped uninstall the bird netting at my previous apartment and repaired the small fixing points so neatly that my landlord could not find any damage at all.

Overall, Dan combines technical skill with reliability, honesty, and genuine care for doing the job properly. If you are looking for a safe, well-designed cat-proof solution, I would wholeheartedly recommend him.

Dan was professional from the outset and created a detailed plan for the installation, making clear all materials and methods he would use and the corresponding prices. He placed a temporary work tent on our garden and spent a few days carrying out the installation. He explained the steps and decisions he was making throughout the installation, and we agreed on the adjustments to the plan.
His work is clean and professional, therefore highly recommended. So far our cat didn't find a way out, and our neighbour's cats a way in :)

Dan was incredibly helpful from the outset, advising us on the most appropriate solution for our garden. His knowledge and willingness to talk everything through gave us real confidence in the product.

When it arrived, we realised the issue wasn’t the fencing system at all — it was our wall. It’s old and uneven, and unfortunately just not suitable to be fully cat-proofed with this type of setup. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Dan’s product.

Dan couldn’t have handled it better. He was completely understanding, happy for us to return everything with no questions asked, and issued a full refund immediately.

Outstanding personal service, excellent customer care, and genuine expertise. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

We couldn’t be happier with the service Daniel provided from The Cat Proof Fence Company. From the very first conversation, he took a genuinely holistic approach — really taking the time to understand our garden, our setup, and most importantly, the needs of our cats.

As they’re a very agile breed, Daniel carefully assessed everything and recommended the right brackets to properly suit them, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. His due diligence was excellent — he checked angles, heights and potential escape points thoroughly, and explained his thinking clearly so we felt confident in every decision.

What really stood out was how unhurried and thoughtful he was. It never felt rushed; he clearly cares about doing the job properly and safely. The end result is secure, discreet and gives us real peace of mind knowing our cats can enjoy the garden safely.

Professional, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he does — we’d absolutely recommend Daniel without hesitation.

I recently had a cat enclosure fitted by the Cat Proof Fence Company and I couldn't be happier.

From my initial enquiry, Dan was extremely helpful and answered the many questions I had about the enclosures. I'd never had one before, so his knowledge and advice helped me to make the decision to go ahead in order to keep my new kittens safe.

He provided me with a sketch of where the netting/brackets would go, alongside the quote so that I had an idea of how it would look. This was later amended after I'd removed my shed. Nothing was too much trouble and I feel that Dan has a real passion for cats and their safety.

During the fitting Dan was friendly, conscientious and extremely professional. The enclosure has been fitted to a very high standard and I cannot wait to let my little fur babies out to explore, knowing they are safe and sound.

I would highly recommend Dan and his company 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We recently bought a cat-proof fencing system to secure our garden and keep our two cats safe, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Dan, the owner, was incredibly helpful from the outset. He took the time to design the fencing layout specifically for our garden and provided two clear quotations — one for supply only and one for supply and fit — which made the decision process really straightforward.

We chose to fit the system ourselves, and Dan went above and beyond to support us. He provided bespoke, easy-to-follow videos alongside the equipment, which were invaluable when my son and I were doing the installation. Everything was well thought out and clearly explained.

The fencing looks great now it’s installed, and the equipment itself feels robust and very well made.

Most importantly, our cats are clearly happy and safe, and we have real peace of mind knowing they’re protected from potential dangers.

Excellent service, quality products, and outstanding customer support — highly recommended.

So pleased with the work Dan did to cat proof our garden! After loosing 2 cats in a short time we wanted to find a way to protect our new rescues - and there was the Cat Proof fence company.
Great engagement when advising and quoting us, really good price and then, when Dan came to do the work - excellent care and skills installing the system. Tidy, conscientious and attention to detail.

Cats have been enjoying their freedom now for a month - no escapes. So pleased to have them safe but able to be outside.

Thanks Dan👍👍

I'm so glad I decided to go with Daniel. I cannot fault his approach; from the beginning with video calls, the info he sent me without delay and throughout the entire time installing the fence. He was punctual, kind and patiently talked me through options and enabled me to see where my ideas wouldn't work. With each section of the work he explained how it would be installed and the benefits it would bring. He works to a very high standard. My 3 Cats can safely and happily enjoy the back garden. I can unreservedly recommend Daniel.

Highly recommend Daniel and his company, professional and cares about the safety of your pets.
Provides detailed plans prior to starting the work and explains clearly.
My 4 cats are now safe in their garden, can not thank Dan enough.

Great service from start to finish. Dan was amazing and very helpful. We opted for the DIY version as our gardener fit it all for us. The fencing is top quality and the process for ordering was so easy. Highly recommended.

Daniel is kind, warm hearted and truly cares for the cats, as a result, this shows in his good work and dedication. I have a Bengal cat LuzyLuz and we know, bengals are agile and can jump higher than other type of breeds. He meticulously examined my garden area and thought of any weak spots that needed the most attention. He then cat proofed my garden, indeed. My cats can’t get out anymore, LuzyLuz was using a catio area as a way out. Daniel sealed all areas thoroughly, carefully stapling every gap and also checking for possible nails on the floor!! He speaks cat language, aware of all potential hazards, no need to tell him. He also kindly helped me to put up few trellis before sealing the area, at no cost. He also talked to me several times in video calls, answering all my questions, before doing the job. He also accommodated the dates when I could have the job done. I fully recommend Daniel, he is professional and a kind human being. I am so happy and can finally relax. My four/legged children are safe thanks to him 🙏🏼 THANK YOU DANIEL.

We met Dan at the supreme cat show in 2024, where he was promoting his new cat proofing business. He’s a very polite person and listened to all our needs to keep our precious cats safe. We contacted him after a few weeks with photos and estimated sizes of the garden. He then forwarded us an estimate which was exceptionally reasonable.
Dan came to fit the cat proofing over 4 days, keeping us informed about each stage of the fitting.
We were his first customers and can honestly say we have only had one problem and that was with the rubber material used to attach the netting to the brick wall which perished, but on contacting Dan about this problem he came out within a couple of days to rectify the problem with a different fitting.
Our cats are loving the freedom of the garden, we also have a Catio, we leave the door open for them in case they need any shelter.

We first met Dan at Liverpool cat show and decided to have a fence installed. After multiple video calls and the challenges of having such a small garden Dan recommended a canopy.
Dan's work is first class and idea for the staggered shelves on one of the support poles was awesome.
Being a cat dad himself made him the only choice for us and highly recommend him to anyone considering a cat security fence.

Absolutely love the final result! Dan really listened to what we wanted, discussed the installation and process throughly with us, helped us with a fantastic design. Also a really lovely friendly guy. Would definitely recommend!

We recently moved house with our 12 year old cat who has never moved before. Dan was great he worked with us and around the cat and created a safe garden so he could continue to enjoy the outdoors without roaming. The fencing is well put together and does the job. Good price and quality compared to other companies. Highly recommend.

Daniel was great, he spoke to me multiple times before our arranged date for installation and also offered lots of advice and options. He arrived on time and completed the installation within the time he estimated also.

He was very friendly and polite while at my house and provided a very good product also. The brackets are very sturdy and have given our cats a lovely opportunity to spend time outside (which they are very grateful for). Dan also provided some spare netting and cable ties to cover any repairs or additional areas that needed it after he was gone.

I couldn't recommend the cat proof fence company more.

Dan is such a helpful guy, really knows his stuff and his products are excellent. The brackets are super strong and look great with the mesh. The cats are certainly not escaping 😃

Purchased the metal brackets, these were of good quality and sturdy. They were cheaper then the others.

Daniel was very helpful and the products came on time
