Well, I had been looking for a supplier of Marriage's strong white bread flour in1.5 kg bags and not the 16 kg bags I normally use.
I don't know who decided that 16 kg was a suitable size for home users-the manufacturer I suspect. The time you have decanted it into bags there is dust everywhere with maybe some left over to store somewhere.
The 1.5 kg bags means I can store it without any hassle.
Delivery time was very good. The cost was not much more expensive than a 16 kg bag.
Delivery costs were reasonable with no surcharge if you lived outside England!
No problems with this first order.

ordered £55 3 litre tin of olive oil, arrived battered and leaking, took pics and sent to them, they then had to get intouch with the company who sent it, was told i had to pack it back up in original box(soaked with oil) send it back and only when they had received it i would get a refund!! remember this tin is leaking so ridiculous to post back, emailed them my displeasure at the proposition and heard nothing from them them in nearly 48 ours, i have since found out that if i had gone direct to the company that supplied the oil it would have been £15 cheaper, as a foot note they did say i could have a 10 pound voucher off my next order but would have to pay postage, absolutely disgusting service

Beware - everything comes from other companies so that this company is really just a third party agent. That is fine if things go right, but in my case the special hamper I ordered (for a good friend's birthday) went to the wrong house TWICE, meaning that when it did ultimately arrive with me, it was extremely late. Customer service were very good I have to say, but quite honestly while I was offered a discount voucher (for a future purchase??) if it was my company I think I would have refunded the whole order. On top of that, the gin in the hamper was a very small bottle - much smaller than expected - and while I was concerned about that and really tried to ascertain the size before ordering, the ML amount was not shown anywhere in the item description, which leads to classic errors whilst ordering on the internet. It really should be clear. So all in all not a good experience unfortunately.

Very good range of products from a wide variety of independent producers. I had an issue with an order which was quickly resolved by the excellent customer service team.

I ordered cheese and Daal curry, the cheese arrive promptly and well packed. There was a slight delay with the Daal curry but the order was sorted and arrive. The cheese was really lovely and still need to try the curried Daal, if it tastes as good as it looks there shouldn’t any problems. Will order from The Foodmarket again.

An excellent range of items. My order came promptly and despite a slight error with one item, this was rectified quickly and efficiently by customer service.

I ordered a cake and I had a question about delivery which was answered really quickly and politely.

There was a delay in my order being dispatched by a supplier - extremely fast, efficient and friendly service from a member of staff, Angie, who quickly intervened and rectified the problem, keeping me updated at every opportunity. Fantastic service and great product!

Poor experience with them, put in an order for my restaurant over a week ago which was for a weekly special. Havent got it still and havent had anything from them wouldnt recommend to be honest

I had a voucher from them that didn't work at checkout. you can't call them so I've been trying to sort it out via email. They said it was fixed but I encountered the same problem again. Have sent yet another email saying it's still not working and can they phone me? Now they're ignoring me. Have spent two hours on this farce and still can't complete the transaction. Feel bad that a family member has spent £50 for me to have such a negative experience.
Update:
After sending 7 emails I was finally allowed to use my voucher. AFTER I placed the order they emailed me to say that the merchant is on holiday and so I won't be receiving my order for another 3 weeks. Avoid like the plague.
