The Hippie Shake Reviews 

After many months of visiting the hippie shake site I finally clicked purchase on the Penny Lane Coat. As someone from the US and not super familiar with UK sizing I relied heavily on the measurements listed on the website to choose my size. Deciding to size up so that I could layer it with sweaters, the fit is perfect.

My coat arrived promptly and exactly as pictured on the site.

Not only is the coat beautiful and comfortable, it is very warm. I was recently unexpectedly caught in a rain storm and while the coat itself got wet, I stayed dry underneath. The green did bleed a little on the arms into the fur cuffs after so I wouldn’t recommend wearing it if you know you’re going to get wet.

All in all I would 100% recommend the hippie shake. The clothing is beautiful and well made and I’m looking forward to purchasing more items from them. I only wish that the pants offered multiple inseam lengths because I’m too tall to wear the size they offer.

The sizing is really off and every time you have to do a return you pay for it, the quality of the material also doesn’t seem to be worth the price tag even though the style is great.

Fast and good shipping to Denmark and the piece was a total dream of a garment. Very well made and something to be worn for years to come ❤️ Very happy with my purchase

The Hippie Shake is THE BEST vintage clothing line on the market. I am obsessed with every item, especially the penny lane coats. I have 3 of them and they go well with everything! The attention to detail and embroidery are stunning! I get compliments every time I wear their pieces. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Most of my wardrobe is from here and I love everything!! My go to place for 60s and 70s looking pieces and the quality since the rebrand has improved even more! I always look forward to the new drops and rarely go without getting my hands on at least one item per collection. <3

I’ve been looking for a shop that does exactly this for ages. For a small brand, the price is unbeatable! The material feels amazing, and the garments (I ordered two coats) have a really nice weight to them and feel genuinely high quality. As soon as I’ve got the money again, I’ll 100% be ordering from you again :)

The Penny Lane coat is beautiful, sturdy and qarm- making it a daily item not just a special item to be worn occasionally. It is really soft to the touch and not being sheepskin like a traditional Afghan make it light to wear. I have had so many compliments!

The coat is worth the money paid, a luxury item for me as a Christmas present :)

This is now officially my favorite brand. The mailman just delivered the dress of my dreams ans I’m freaking out! Granted, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but now that all taxes and additional costs for international shipping (I’m from Germany) are already included, at least there’s no bad surprises at the door. I’m in love!!!

I have loved The Hippie Shake for years, I own countless pieces from them and every piece has been incredible quality and some of the most beautiful and intricate clothing I have ever seen.

I couldn’t recommend them more if you want unique, beautiful and long lasting clothes!

Earlier this year I bought 2 shirts, 2 vests, 3 boots, 2 hats, and 1 pair of pants from Hippie Shake. It's a purchase I've been considering for a while and I am SO glad I did! My wardrobe is interesting again and I've had so much fun swapping things around and trying a new combo every time! My only regret is not getting a Penny Lane coat while I'm at it! The quality is amazing and I'm happy to have these forever pieces in my closet.

The item was neatly packaged and arrived in good shape! There was not one lose thread anywhere from the embroidery. The velvet, beautiful! I'd say it's even prettier in person than online. The only thing I would critique is that some of the button hoops were a bit too tight, which made it a little hard to button some parts. It doesn't take away from the piece however. :)

I'd purchased from Hippie Shake before the re-brand and was left disappointed every time; poor materials, odd sizing and not good value for money, HOWEVER, I was tempted back by the improved designs and sustainability values and was left with no regrets!
Beautiful quality and material, improved sizing and much better value. I purchased a cotton dress and the difference is night and day since the re-brand. It's great to see a small business thriving following a risky move like a re-brand. The dress arrived quickly and I immediately had to try it on, I will be back to purchase again!

I absolutely adore my new bell bottoms!! Plss Pls pls keep up your work because I will definitely be buying again in the future when I am not a broke highschooler LOL. I worked hard at my job JUST to save up for my Hippie Shake jeans and I have no regrets!! Super excited to wear these A LOT
