I'm always looking for that 60s/70s aesthetic, and Hippie Shake knocks it out of the park! Quality items, and they're absolutely beautiful! The embroidery, the fabrics, everything! Just fabulous. Can't wait to add more to my collection

Everything arrived on time and perfectly, the site was also very kind in clarifying any of my doubts.

On 2 September I sent a Next Day Delivery parcel to this boutique. On their website they assure that returns are easy. Unfortunately, I have been waiting for a refund since 2 September, which is 19 days.... Who, in the age of online sales, will like such a shop?

I purchased two times from Hippie Shake, once in 2021 and once now in Sept. 2023. Items quality is overall good, sizes are a little bit always on the bigger side. The fact that custom fees are not included, make it overall very expensive to purchase from Germany - on a order of ca. 230 pounds, I had to pay 85 euro in taxes. So if you purchase from EU, keep that in mind.
As for the logistics, after 3 years it still feels very start-uppish.
In my last order, they did not include one of the item (a dress) that I paid for and they would have probably not refund me for the missing item if I hadn't wrote them. It was a real bummer because I purchased the as it would be match with the accessories I bought, but now I only have the accessories but not the dress. It took about a week after I wrote them for the refund to happen - so the assistance in the end was quite good.

I wanted to love this shop, but after ordering for the second time I have again been disappointed by the poor quality of the items. Fabric quality and fit are very poor, so I will be returning again.

What makes things worse is that they only do exchanges/store credit for sale items, so I've wasted money as I won't be ordering again. A proper refund would be appreciated.

I'm giving two stars because items were at least dispatched quickly, customer service were helpful when I had a query, and they send me a discount voucher on my Birthday.

It's a great concept and I would probably spend all my money here, if only the quality was better!

Poor customer service. I ordered a pair of boots and other items and I requested to pick up the parcel from a pick up shop. The parcel was delayed and I had to travel a day prior the parcel arrived. I rushed to the pick up location but the person at the counter could not give me the parcel as there was a problem with the QR code. I had to leave the package there. I emailed the hippie shake to request for the parcel to be sent back to them and to refund me as I was due to travel and was going to be away for a while. They said they had to wait for the parcel to get back to them automatically after a certain number of days. This is what happens if a customer does not collect the parcel on time so the courier automatically returns it but this was a different situation. I explained the retailer that it s not my fault if the QR code did not allow me to collect it.
4 days later the parcel appears to have been collected but by whom? It was not me as I was abroad. I tried to contact the hippie shake so many times to ask if they need a proof I was abroad etc but they just ignore the question and say they need to investigate and see what is happening before refunding me however they are investigating since weeks and looking into a problem they created in the first place. In the meantime they just do not accept any help from my side to show them I was abroad etc. They simply keep my money until they please!!! Absolutely outrageous! It is a shame as I like what they do but their customer service is poor. I requested several times if they could please give me a call etc. They do not have a number apparently. I would say they simply do not care about people who decide to shop from them. Avoid at all cost! Shame as I was a regular customer.

I have been buying from The Hippie Shake for 2 years now and every single item I have received has been just gorgeous and so unique

Ordered an item from this company as a present and need to exchange the size but they don't do that. Since I'm in the US I have to cover my own shipping costs to return to the UK. Except it costs more to ship back to UK than it cost to purchase initially. Even if I get store credit for the returned item I am still out even more money. Guess I'm stuck with the wrong item. I'll stay away from these guys in the future if only cause of my location.

A while ago I purchased the butterfly afghan coat and lace-up boots from The Hippie Shake, but unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of both items. The sole on the heel of the boots came off right away when I tried them on, revealing that the heel was hollow and made of low-quality material. The shoelaces were also worn out immediately, making the boots completely unusable. As for the afghan coat, there was a hole in the pocket when I got it which was a huge disappointment. Instead of the 60s and 70s vibes I was hoping for, their items gave more of a Halloween party look with its cheap and tacky appearance. When I contacted customer service to address these issues, the only compensation I received was a £10 voucher, which was not nearly enough to make up for the low quality of the items.
Overall, I would not recommend purchasing from The Hippie Shake again, as the low quality of these items left me feeling extremely dissatisfied with my purchase.

Overall the experience ordering went very well, site was easy to navigate, descriptions also great. I like my Penny Lane coat, I dont love it, but its growing on me-not as good as the original ones, the fur isn't as fluffy, but its blanket comfortable. Fit wise, I wear a 12-14 dep on cut, so I ordered a 24, sizes fit/measured different in the UK, worse case I would need to take it in, nope it fit. My advise buy the biggest size, you can take away, but you cant add. Shipping, I ordered on 11/24, received on 12/14. The coat went from the UK to Switzerland to NY to Chicago and finally to me in the NW burbs, creating a bigger carbon footprint than if you sent it direct, as I do when sending gifts to family in the UK and it takes less than 10 days. Will I order again, thats a maybe at best. I like the clothes, but it would need to be an item so spectacular found nowhere else. Bottomline, order, size up, prepare for a wait, and be groovy.”

I like my (ramble on brown) jumpsuit but the material is lower quality than I was expecting though it does feel quite thick which is nice. I had no tracking on my parcel as the number didn't work and it took a while to come, but once hermes had received it, it only took a couple of days. The stitching around the sleeve is very bulky and is irritating my skin but I wonder if this will flatten down and feel softer once it has been washed. Mixed feelings about the clothing but I got it at a considerable discount so have chosen to keep it. Would also recommend putting more than two press studs on the belt as the biggest is too big for my waist and the smaller is fine until I move but I prefer the jumpsuit with the belt.

They have lovely clothing but the quality is way too low given the high prices. Not much better than Shein-quality. I ordered from Germany so I also paid quite a lot for shipping and taxes to receive a shirt with loose threads everywhere. I contacted the customer service and they were really nice and gave me at least a small refund but also said the loose threads were typical for the fabric used (??). So if you're outside the UK I don't recommend buying there because the clothes probably won't be worth the money you pay.

Absolutely love the items I received!! They fit so well and I’m glad the trousers come with belt loops, just in case they feel a little loose as I did buy a size up for room.
The quality of the material feels very good and everything is well made with no loose threads or out of line stitches.
Cutest colours as well, wasn’t sure I would suit it but I love it!
Definitely recommend The Hippie Shake to anyone looking to buy a new outfit or even wardrobe.

Excellent customer service. I ordered a jacket for my daughter's birthday in the sale, but it had sold out - the company got back to me and were very helpful, and got an alternative sent out quickly. My daughter is very pleased with the jacket, which is great quality and very unusual.

They are amazing!! Really addicted to the shop, live in the netherlands and the shipping is so fast and easy!

I hate this brand. Their items are beautiful but they take away things forever. I wanted the psychedelic butterfly dress, but they took it away so fast. It's so expensive first fo all, they don't even give most people time to save up money for it. Second, they say they take stuff away forever in the name of sustainability and recycled fabric, but you're telling me they run out of the fabric after making so many of them? I don't think so. Also, if they can also make new things, there's no harm in making the same items one or two more times so people have the chance to actually BUY THEM! This dress was my favorite, along with many other items. Now all that's left is the less cute stuff and they said oh well. Sorry but they're not gonna turn into Shein overnight by selling their items one more time. Ridiculous. I can't find it anywhere for resale either.

Wow, I ordered a jumpsuit which is stunning, it’s just like the photos on the website and on their social media platforms. I ordered it on my birthday and it came the next day, didn’t have to pay for next day delivery it arrived that fast on just standard. Super please, I was recommended to look at the website by a friend who had also bought from them, really aesthetically pleasing website, easy to look around on it, and the clothes are stunning.

trustworthy store, the coat arrived damaged and after a little bit if back and forth, they refunded me and sent me a gift and voucher. just waiting for items to come back in stock and I will try again. overall happy customer :)
