They sell all pirated version of books and thus creating loss to original publishers and authors. Please never ever buy from this online store. Their customer service section is very rude. Basically they are cheating the readers, original publishers and authors by encouraging sellers to sell pirated version through their platform.

Frauds. Don't respond and no shipment even after weeks. No response to whatsapp or email

The packaging was bas , the books at either ends had their corner folded in and there were creases on all the books . The print quality was also not good , some of the pages had thicker lettering while some were normal letterings. The cover print of 2 of the books were lopsided .

These guys are fraud ! I am taking a legal route. They take money and will be vanished. I have paid 3800 for a item and now they are not dispatching and responding to any commutation

I failed checking these reviews prior and thus paid the price

I ordered pair of mini dragons and they arrived after a week in pathetic packaging and thus were found broken once I opened the pack
On top of this no batteries supplied and after buying and installing them seperate the lights still dont work.
Plus their support WhatsApp number is a joke. They tell me they can offer 10% discount next time
In short I lost my 1600/- and these are not worth 100/-

Beware everyone

The book is not a good print. The index page is between the introduction and god knows what other pages are misplaced. The print itself is so bad and light I could’ve printed better from a stationary shop nearby instead of paying 80 extra for the delivery plus the book price. The order system is even more pathetic. I order books from other online stores thought of trying this for one particular and this has spectacularly failed

If there was an option less than 1 star i would rate it that. First, very late shipping, no replies, then very cheap quality books, some images are not at all visible others inked my hand. And they're so irresponsible dont even reply. An apology would have done everything but yeah this is what they want

No update on order even after 5 days. They collect money but when we raise query they don't respond.

I have ordered 5sets of book and paid for it. It's not yet shipped and the whatsapp contact they mentioned in website that is of no use. No response from any mode of communication(whatsapp, email). This is completely fraud website dont pay and dont ever try this website. This website will destroy your hobby of reading books.

This is a fraud store, I ordered 5 books on 03 Aug 2026. There is no shipment done till now.

This site should be reported to cyber police.

They sell pirated books which are of cheap quality faded printing
It took me a month to recieve those pirated and second hand books

I had ordered two books from them about two weeks back, they acknowledged the payment and subsequently sent a mail with tracking details, ever since the courier track is blank, showing that it hasn't even been picked. Have emailed them on their acknowledgement etc multiple times but they haven't even bothered to respond ... Don't know if they have sent the courier by foot or something, as delhi to jaipur is a 3 hr drive

I would strongly caution customers before placing an order with The Indian Bookstore. I placed my order on 13 August 2026, and as of today, 27 August 2026, I still have not received my order.

What is even more disappointing is the complete lack of communication and customer support. I have tried contacting them through email as well as WhatsApp (+91 99106 73993), but there has been no meaningful response or resolution.

A delay can sometimes be understandable, but when a customer has already paid and is simply trying to find out where their order is, ignoring messages is completely unacceptable.

If you are planning to order from The Indian Bookstore, I would suggest being extremely cautious. Check the delivery timelines, customer-service responsiveness and refund/replacement policies carefully before making any payment.

I hope the company takes this seriously, responds to my messages and provides a clear update on my pending order. Customers deserve transparency, communication and basic after-sales service.

Fraud people, scammed me and now not answering to my phone call as well. Don't purchase anything. I ordered spider-man web shooter worth rs 3150. And though received but completely damaged. The product box was already open and was completely unusable. Its just a scam website. Dont purchase anything…

Dont trust this seller. This seller is fake and never shipped my books.

The overall experience was normal i got the order delivered a bit late but it was okay and the response to my questions took a bit long but they had notified on the website that the customer service takes about 24-48 hrs to reply but the product was good and i loved it

It is the worst experience I ever had in my life while getting online; in the sense, after making payment in advance realised that no valid email id & phone numbers exist to followup and above all they are daring to get a review on the book / experience of the site.

This seems to be a group of cheaters & those who want to lose money & mental peace would only dare to have deal with this site.

It has been 15 days after making payment & no proper response is received.

I appeal all - whether Would it be a prudent to approach legally for compensation ?

They sent me the wrong set of books, and after I tried raising a replacement with all the required proof through pictures. They denied it by saying, “Don’t worry. The books are correct.” And then started ghosting me since. Not to mention, there are no responses on mail either, and customer support has no prompt action. To add further, the quality of print is bad of even the wrong books.

Ordered a spiderman mask a month ago, still haven't received and they are not responding on mails. Pathetic customer support. Please avoid ordering anything from here.
