Fake website no cod fake cod not send any books

They are scammers. They haven’t shipped my order even after a week, when i checked only I found that they cancelled the order.
I will drag them consumer court next week.

They took the order and disappeared. No response to messages, calls or emails. Total scam

Worst packaging ever! Just bubble wrapped and not kept inside a carton box which had damaged the original packaging a lot. Never expected such a poor packaging for such a premium item

I ordered two books from your site they went on a wrong address.i ask for send the books on my adress or refund my money neither you refund also you didn't send it on my revised location and also charging me another 450 rupees for delivering it to my location

I absolutely feel cheated out of my hard earned money. They sell pirated books at used book prices hence why I ordered from them in the first place since I thought I would atleast receive used books. Imagine my disappointment on seeing the pirated books. Also they did not send all the books in my order so I feel doubly cheated.

I was very happy with their customer service, but was not happy with their shipping department, as I ordered 2 sets of a book but I only received one, after that I wrote an email about the problem and they quickly checked and sent the remaining books on same day.

These people do not have the courtesy of responding our mails / communications. The phone number is bogus /non existent as per voice response
I cancelled the order immediately on the same day. But without replying they have foisted the purchase on me saying after 1week "prepaid orders cannot be cancelled".
Pl don't buy any thing from them

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I ordered Kagurabachi Vol. 6 expecting an original product, but the copy I received appears to be counterfeit/pirated based on its print quality and overall finish. I immediately contacted customer support and requested a refund, but my concern was dismissed with a generic "non-returnable/non-refundable" response instead of addressing my complaint about the product itself.
A return policy should not replace proper investigation of a customer's complaint. I expected better customer service and a fair resolution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this store.

My experience with The Indian Book Store has been extremely disappointing.

The books I received were not what I expected. They had missing text, unusual formatting, and no publisher or copyright information like a standard published edition. The overall quality was poor and did not match genuine copies that I already own.

What disappointed me even more was the customer service. I immediately contacted them, provided clear photos they requested. Instead of resolving the issue or honoring their own return policy for defective products, they eventually don’t care

There is no clear disclosure on the website that the books may differ from standard published editions. Had this been mentioned before purchase, I would never have ordered from them.

After my experience, I also came across many similar complaints online from other customers, which made me realize I wasn’t the only one facing these issues.

This is no longer just about losing ₹1,000. It’s about transparency, accountability, and treating customers fairly. I cannot recommend buying from this store based on my experience.

I have ordered a product over 1 week a ago and they have taken no action on delivering it. There is no option to cancel it either. These people are running a scam.

I wish I could give zero stars for this one. The quality of books are very bad, these are more like print of scanned pdf version. Even the outer covers are not good for the money paid. Very disappointed. This website is a cheap copy of the original Indian Book Store. Please don't buy.

I purchased Sapiens by Yuval Harari. The quality of the book is utterly substandard. It is obviously a pirated book. The company policy doesn't accept return and refund request on quality grounds.

Trying to find how to report the company for piracy.

I received fresh and new copies of books I ordered . The print was as good as the original. I got free bookmarks too. I feel great about my decision of buying books from The Indian bookstore.

Worst experience ever. Book was delivered 20 days later, and it was just a xerox/print fromthe internet. Waste of money and time. Pathetic. Never buying from here ever again.

Book was damaged and quality of printing was very bad, waste of money, even though i thought of return it to them,but their returning process looks very lenghthy and amount return takes more than 10 days,bought two books,one is ok but another one is bad,i ordered for hard cover page only Rs.500 book "Thinking fast and slow" to avoid this kind of quality issues but still i got damage book and very low quality book,very disappointed with their quality of book even though i paid more for hard cover,here after i wont recommend anybody go buy through these kind of discount trap
