My experience so far with the interior design institute has been wonderful I am learning so many valuable skills that I will be able to use out in the world with real clients .

I like how I can work at my own pace. However, there isn't many people you can get help from for opinions. The modules lack a lot of important information and all of the information in the modules are basically common sense. Its kind of a waste of money in a way because of how much stuff is common sense. But at the same time there is some information that is helpful, just not a lot.

Speaking from a 58 year old, not knowing much about computers, I have learned so much by taking this course.
Taking more advanced courses is definitely in my future.
My only constructive criticism is, if there would be more troubleshooting advice at the end of each video for the ADV SketchUp course, it would be so helpful and shorten the time it takes to learn it.

Have loved the course so far and learnt so much. The information is current and the tutors available to help are so lovely. Would recommend this course to anyone thinking about joining the interior design industry.

I have been learning a lot from this course. I would recommend it to anyone interested in interior design. However, one thing could be made a little more clear to newcomers before purchase. Completing the Sketchup course first would be very helpful to complete the assignments.

Such a great course. I work full time and this course has allowed me to work at my own time and learn so much in the space of a year. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to pursue a path in interior design.

I can manage my own time and do the course at my own pace

The course is clear, practical and easy to follow, even for someone like me who was new to technical drawing. Step by step, I learned how to draw floor plans to scale, build colour schemes, choose fabrics and lighting, design kitchens and bathrooms, and put together professional sample boards. The client project in Module 10 taught me how to work with a real person, listen to their needs and stay within a budget. The SketchUp module showed me how to bring my ideas to life in 3D.
My tutors’ feedback was kind, detailed and always encouraging. It gave me the confidence to keep going, even when things felt difficult.

signed up for the interior design course and finished it in about four months while working full time. my tutor graded assignments fast and left notes on what to fix so it never felt like I was alone.

Absolutely loving this course. It really is so well put together and I'm learning so much through this course. I am almost a bit sad that its coming to an end soon. Looking into getting some of the Advanced modules. Really great value for money and such a great way to learn about Interior design on your own time. Also just my tutor Evette is amazing. She gives such great feedback and tips. Learning so much from her. Thank you IDI!

I have really enjoyed my experience with The Interior Design Institute so far. The course is well structured, and I appreciate being able to study at my own pace while developing my knowledge and skills in interior design. The modules are informative and give me the opportunity to explore different aspects of the field, while the assignments help me put what I learn into practice. I also love the flexibility of studying online, which allows me to balance my studies with my other responsibilities. I’m excited to continue learning and developing my skills throughout the rest of the course!

I recommend the IDI. The modules are clear and easy to follow with assignments at the end of each module which need to be submitted and marked by your online tutor. The tutor takes time to provide relevant and good feedback to support your learning. If you have a passion for all things interior design and want to learn at your own pace this is the course for you.

I have learnt so much on this course! I have always been passionate about interior design and thought I already knew quite lot, but this course helped fill all the gaps and I learnt an awful lot more. My tutorial was great and the feedback was invaluable. Highly recommend this course whether it is to start your own business or to simply be more confident in renovating your own home.

I found this course on Google and was immediately sold and not disappointed. I have learnt so much already and the modules are very easy to read through. Instructions for individual assignments are straightforward and it’s super rewarding to go through all of them one by one. It’s especially nice to have a personal tutor that answers your questions very quickly even though you are in a different time zone. I have learnt so much already and can’t wait to use this knowledge professionally once I have completed the course. Very good value for money and have also bought an advanced module which is very helpful!

I just finished Module 10 of The Interior Design Course and I've really enjoyed it so far. The modules flow well, and I love that the projects feel like real design work, from mood boards and sample boards to floor plans and full proposals. I've learned a lot that I've been able to put into practice in my job as an intern designer.
The only thing keeping it from five stars for me is that I'd love a little more feedback from the tutors. Interior design is the career I'm working toward, so I really want to understand where I can grow. I got a 9 out of 10 on Module 8, which I'm happy with, but I wasn't sure what kept it from a 10. Even a few quick notes on what worked and what to improve would help so much as I build my skills and work toward excellence in the profession.
Overall, I'm so glad I signed up and would happily recommend it to anyone interested in interior design!

I had an overall great experience with the interior design program. The information was presented in a clear, organized, and easy-to-follow way, making it simple to understand the concepts and apply what I learned to each assignment. The assignments were practical and helped reinforce the material. Overall, it was an enjoyable and valuable learning experience!
