I have dyslexia so I initially struggled with the course. My teacher Julian Watt was so patient and encouraging. There were times that I didn't think that I could complete some of the modules. I plodded on and eventually it all became easy for me as it was so interesting. The course took me from being an amateur snappier to now a professional photographer. I have developed my brand, designed my own logo and most of all I am proud to say "I studied with the Photography Institute" I couldn't have chosen a better course.

One of the best courses I’ve taken. Practical and well structured. George Seper, is intelligent and has a great sense of humor. The syllabus and assignment guidelines were always clear (and relevant!). I have the best tutor - Steven Vote

I am starting to enjoy the course now that i got the hang of things and I found it to be a valuable learning experience. I have been completing a Diploma in Photography & Digital Imaging with The Photography Institute Australia. I have been studying at my own pace & my tutor is just an email away. With responses being very quick I am getting the assistance I need throughout the course. Im gaining a wealth of knowledge & looking forward to taking my Photography Career to the next level. I’ve really enjoyed my experience with The Photography Institute so far. The course is flexible, easy to work through at my own pace, and has helped me improve both my technical knowledge and confidence as a photographer. My tutor, Justin Aitken, gives detailed and helpful feedback that I can apply to future assignments and real shoots. I’ve also been able to use what I’ve learnt in my own photography business, which has made the course feel very worthwhile.

Excellent support provided both organisationally and professionally. A number of modules are being updated which will assist those more recently taking an interest in photography.

The planned and relatively simple approach to photography that I took for granted in my previous 50 years of trying to take photos has just been simply eye opening. Very simple real world examples and thoughts that had never previously thought was worth while knowing. I knew the exposure triangle back to front but it is now clear that there is so much more to taking and producing great photos. I am not there yet however my photography and confidence has improved so much during this course, I now have a future that looks bright and a solid foundation to improve further.

​This course provided me with an incredible learning experience. I was able to systematically study professional techniques and composition methods that I hadn't learned anywhere else. The curriculum is exceptionally well-designed and provides profound insights behind the lens. I am so grateful to the academy for this valuable knowledge. The modules are making me think again about how I approach photography and leading me into a greater technical understanding of my camera, which is a big reason I took the course. I am learning to slow down and consider a scene rather than simply reach for my iPhone and shoot!!

I could take my time and do everything on my own time. I always received immediate feedback when I wanted to know something. It's a good course. Some of the words are just a little too high english for me lol but I'm Afrikaans speaking.

The modules are easy to understand. I've learnt a lot. My tutor Justin always gives me great feedback and advice that is helpful

I stumbled upon The Photography Institute while searching for a course, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The website was sleek and easy to navigate, but the real game-changer was the limited-time offer they had. I grabbed the bundle deal without hesitation, and I’m already halfway through the first module. The content is top-notch, and the instructor’s passion shines through. If you’re serious about improving your skills, this is a no-brainer. Worth every penny!

I'm almost done the course, just working on the final assignment for Module 12. I love that the assignments forced me to do the hard work; researching and practicing taking photographs using the new info learned from the module.

I especially enjoyed my tutor Steven Vote. Incredibly encouraging and fast at answering my questions throughout the course.

The course is online which of course offers flexibility but can be difficult if you like to procrastinate. It is nice that the next module is not released until the previous assignment has been submitted to help keep you on track.

My main piece of advice is to be aware of what season you are taking the course as a lot of assignments in the earlier modules require bright, clear sunny days. This was a problem for me as where I live there are many grey days during winter. Sometimes there wasn't a sunny day in over 2 weeks which caused me some delay. This may not be a problem for some if they are not wanting to complete the course within a certain timeframe.
Overall it's a great course. I'm happy Im taking it/ almost completed it and have already started an advanced module on Lightroom.

I love learning more about photography and all the tips and tricks given are very helpful
The grammar used is sometimes not fully clear because English isn't my first language
But other than that it's one amazing experience that will open doors in my future

I have really enjoyed my photography course through The Photography Institute. I’ve owned a camera since I was young and have always been mostly self-taught, so I wanted to strengthen my knowledge and skills and gain a deeper understanding of the art behind photography.

This course has definitely taken my photography to the next level. I’ve not only learnt more about the technical side of photography, but also about the creative process and how to approach an image with more confidence.

One of the things I enjoyed most was being able to work at my own pace. Having tutors readily available whenever I had questions made the experience even better. I tend to overthink things, but as you work your way through the course, you start to realise that photography doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes you just need to trust what you see and go for it.

And if you do get stuck, there’s always support available through the tutors and the helpful student community, which makes the whole learning experience feel much less daunting.

I’ve really enjoyed the journey and feel like I’ve grown not only as a photographer but also in my confidence and understanding of photography. I would definitely recommend The Photography Institute to anyone looking to improve their photography skills or take their passion to the next level.
