Love following TMPK on social media for his honesty and meal prep stories. It’s inspiring to see how he has turned his life around and not let any negativity get to him

I initially followed John Clark and purchased his books with genuine interest in his work. Over time, however, I chose to disengage. I found his interactions with followers — including a direct exchange with me — to be unnecessarily dismissive and, at times, openly rude when presented with differing viewpoints.

Additionally, his repeated remarks about “haters paying for his car and house” struck me as unprofessional and undermined the credibility of his platform. While his content may appeal to some, the tone and manner of engagement were not aligned with what I expect from a public figure or author.

More broadly, I believe social media platforms should consider how their algorithms amplify this style of behaviour, as it can discourage constructive discussion and reward hostility over meaningful engagement.

I have tried the app and unfortunately it just falls short when compared to others out there which are cheaper. Questions don’t get answered and if they do, you almost feel like you’re being slightly ridiculed. The community is also non existent and when I look at the recipes I have seen the same ones on BBC Good Food and other recipe websites. I have also messaged the coach on social media for support and unfortunately got ignored when I asked for help regarding my macros. Just think there are better options out there for those that need proper professional support.

I purchased both meal prep books back in 2022 but no longer use them and have since moved to online recipes from other creators, which I find more original and inspiring.

In my experience, many of the recipes in the books felt quite generic and not particularly original. I didn’t feel they offered much beyond what is already widely available online for free.

I have also been disappointed by the creator’s public behaviour outside of the products themselves. Based on their social media presence, I found the tone to be unprofessional and unkind, particularly towards people who are overweight and towards women. The content often comes across as body shaming and appearance-focused, which I personally find uncomfortable and unnecessary in a fitness/food space.

I would encourage potential customers to also read the other reviews on trust pilot for the same company under a different thread.

Overall, this wasn’t a positive experience for me, and I wouldn’t purchase again. Proceed with caution before signing up / buying products.

I have been following John for years and although I have not bought any of his products , mainly due to living abroad , I did manage to download the e-book for free which is really good . My own weight loss journey started when I was 18 and continues even today , 40 years later! I only gain a few kilos and go onto instagram to listen to John give his no nonsense approach and get back on it ! I don’t agree with absolutely everything he says or does but I do however enjoy what he posts most of the time with the exception of the legs ! I also enjoyed the house stuff , in particular the media wall , curtains and garden . He does need more of woman’s touch though , so hopefully Michelle will add this , in particular the bedroom as it’s in dire need of nice pictures and more colour ! Joking aside , I’m looking forward to watching this year to see what he achieves! I’ve lost what I’ve gained over Christmas now and just 1 kg to go to be not “ overweight “ again ! I also enjoy the dogs having two dogs myself so the variety of John’s content definitely appeals to me ! Keep it up!

Lots of amazing and tasty meals in the app. Very positive interaction whenever i have a question or comment online.

I’ve never met John but I consider him a friend now. There’s things I’d speak about with John that I haven’t and wouldn’t with my closest friends and for that I am very grateful. Our conversation's have been supportive, guided and very honest. He’s direct talking but it gave me a kick when it was needed and 100% pointed me in the right direction and the results are there to see. I never thought I’d get there and I have. The world needs more real people like him. Thanks for everything mate and we will get that brew one day 👍🏻

Followed John via social media for quite a few years now, his attitude & content ALWAYS gets me extremely motivated to try make my life better.
A big shame to see he gets so much stick because everything he says comes from common sense!

Signed up to the app but a few weeks in & John barely even logged in. Then posted on insta saying he couldn’t get motivated because his Ex sent him a text which made him sad. (boohoo)
When I tried to cancel because the app wasn’t delivering the service I signed up for, he sent abusive msgs calling me lazy.
He is a nasty con man, whose tag line should be “do as I say, not as I do”

John is always helpful from TMPK, offering sound nutritional advice and real life, no excuses motivation!

As for the products, books are great I have all of them and I can’t recommend the glass food prep containers enough, the best I’ve ever owned, still going strong, daily use, daily dish washer use and still like new!

I have followed John for a number of years on social media and whilst I haven't actually bought any of his products and don't necessarily meal prep consistently, his online presence and no nonsense approach has helped to give me the motivation to realise I needed to make a change (well, several lol) and lose 8stone over the past 18months.

When I am having a wobble or feeling deflated, I hop onto Instagram and after a few of the Meal Prep King's stories, I'm either laughing my head off or determined to get back on track (both of which are important).

Johns Books are great, they have helped to establish better meals and eating plans.
The app is helpful as a beginner to this type of thing. And have enjoyed using the app and navigating it. So simple to use.

Game changer!
Very impressed with the really tasty meals in this book. Meal prepping is so much easier than I thought thanks to this guide. I highly recommend this book and following the author on all platforms, you get lots of info on the socials too. I hope to buy any further books in the future, also, tip from me.. the meal prepping packaging TMPK are fantastic quality and really good size too. 😀

Purchased the two meal prep king books a while back. Easy to follow meal preps. Especially for amateur cooks like myself. I do like the breakfast bar and granola recipe

I bought prep yourself slim over a year ago and there are some great recipes including pizza that is not made with a wrap or a cauliflower base 10/10. There is also really great advice tips and guidance for freezing and storing prep which was so helpful.

I have three of the meal prep king books- two cookbooks and the planner. I’ve tried quite a few meals and it makes such a difference doing meal prep each week! Recipes are in grams and some are more typical British dishes or ingredients but it’s easy to convert to American measurements with Alexa or a food scale. Love all the stories and anecdotes too. It’s fun planning out meals each week. Highly recommend!

So many great options to choose from 🤩 we purchased the original Meal Prep King book when it was first published and still to this day refer back to it for healthy options and easy to do recipes. Would recommend.

I have gleaned so many helpful tips, ideas and inspiration through following on Insta. I love seeing how life is, the ups and downs and the humour. I thought Human Frank was a legend and was thrilled he got my birthday card, the dogs are lovely. I think the cookbooks are great, I enjoy following the Mealprepking... that is all!
