This school is okay it’s just that they keep changing my classes and what days I have them on and how long they are and how many classes I have. Witch messes up my other commitments. But the teachers are nice although there was a really nasty teacher but they sorted it out and they are really helpful it’s just the other point that I said witch isn’t very good although the teachers are usual late and sometimes don’t join at all

very nice school and learnt alottt,teachers and students are very nice defo recomend it!

everyone here is really really nice, and the staff are really helpful and kind. they will always make sure you feel safe

Fantastic lesson experience for my daughter I recently enrolled for trial lesson. I must say, it was an absolute wonderful experience for both her and me. The level of engagement, the quality of instruction and overall learning experience was outstanding. The teacher was prompt,well prepared and displayed an evident passion for teaching.

Good. Very Good. Great. Amazing. Spectacular. As a student I can confirm everything I said is true.

Its an amazing school and has helped me keep learning, defo recommend it!

Stay away from the school. Don't believe the hype from their web page.

You pay for a service for your child, then they change the length of classes and times and dates meaning your entire week is screwed

The teachers often don't arrive to start classes on time, some times they just don't show up, are bored, unenthusiastic or lazy in their teaching.

It seems a case of request to be a teacher, send it proof of qualifications and your availability and taa daa you are in. I have worked in HR within schools for many years and would honestly say I wouldn't hire a single one of them. Classes are run in key stage so not year groups so kids learn too high or too low to level alot of times. Lots of playing naughts and crosses with teacher. If you discuss this with cust svs they will move your child but then they don't support your child when let's say the new class is half way through a subject and your child asks for help and to get more information and none is given, just teacher (at one point the director/head/owner) saying that it will make sense and ignoring further info requests.

Most teachers have thick accents which is ok for most but some kids struggle with understanding what is being said.

They teach things that are not in the UK curriculum
Of mice and men was removed from UK curriculum in 2014. Very racist book (lots of n word) yet the school are teaching outdated books and didn't know this until brought up by us it seems.

Also told by Ali today that he has ADHD and is on the spectrum and had to learn to have a filter and have empathy as I don't and felt I was rude.... Keep in mind this phone call wasn't booked in, I answered the phone whilst decorating as thought it may be my other son's school. I found it hard as I wasn't prepared for the phone call so giving examples of issues when up a ladder on a call I wasn't prepared for was really blinking hard. I told him I have no filter and don't understand pitch and tone. I'm glad he has learned these things but did not appreciate the telling off or the comparison of ADHD.
He apologised at that point for faults if company that we have had and then proceeded to tell my son his coding lesson wasn't working properly as the browser wasn't the latest version, it is.
My son is very angry and frustrated by the classes and is begging not finish the ones we have left this school year.

Not convinced on how legit the other ratings are but feel it's part of a campaign run by the online school.

Angela and the staff at The Online School UK are fantastic. They show true passion and commitment to your child's educational needs and are always available to assist you. I highly recommend this institution.

very fun and well taught. the teachers are awesome and the other students are very nice.

Due to unexpected circumstances we were left in a position of needing to provide our eldest child (11yo) with some additional tutoring. We looked at lots of options and found The Online School offered a number of courses that would allow our child to continue with education.

My child found their classes engaging, challenging and interesting and there were no major technical issues or problems that really got in the way.

I'd be happy to recommend The Online School to anyone looking into this sort of home education, either to augment planned home schooling, or to fill a gap where physical school attendance isn't possible.

Our son has been at the online school for a few weeks now. Although there were teething issues, the prompt and friendly way in which all issues are dealt with makes this online school well worth considering. We have had all our queries responded to very quickly, and in a very caring, personal and attentive manner. I cannot tell you how different this has been from previously dealing with a mainstream school. The pricing is very reasonable, and the courses and exam boards covered are the most flexible I have encountered anywhere in the online school world. Courses can be swapped in and out at will, which is very different from most. I wish you the best with this school :)

What a great idea. This is exactly what children of all ages need right now. Well-done online school.

Amazing and fun for the children. The teachers are all very well trained and give the children lots of positive encouragement, maths was our biggest issue with english close second after some sessions both these topics have become much less scarry and the little one has got it all straight in her mind .

Thank for quite literally transforming my child's education. I felt my child was being left behind at mainstream school and after just a few sessions, she has come so far. I'm definitely continuing with my sessions. Thank you.

I suspect that many of the reviews here are genuine because it is the only review posted by that person and a lot of them seem to be made on the same date. As for our own experience with the Online School, it was a disaster. Maybe we were unlucky, because we did sign up for a short time. However what is clear is that the automatic system to sign up to online lessons does not work, it has to be done manually via Angela, who seems to be well meaning however the whole thing is totally disorganised.

I'm convinced this school is a scam at this point. I paid for a trial, then went ahead and paid for some other classes too (some intentional and some because it was not clear what the price paid for - which I asked for a refund for). My daughter was put in an inappropriate class for her ability despite specifically explaining that she was not yet at that level, and there was another issue with hetero-normative language in the class that was not appropriate for our family ("this person is a boy because he has short hair" - my daughter has short hair and was frequently bullied about this at her old school, one of the reasons we left).

I asked Angela for a refund and after she (somewhat relentlessly) continued to try to make us stay enrolled, after the third (fourth?) request for a refund via chat, she told me to email the request, which I did, and I never heard back after two attempts. Previously she was quite responsive at that email, so clearly she has no intention of responding.

Per UK law (within the 14 day cooling off period) I am entitled to a refund, which they are clearly refusing to distribute, so now I am going through a formal complaint process through my bank.

RESPONSE TO BUSINESS:
I requested a refund via WhatsApp (where Angela had been contacting me), and she told me to submit the request in email, which I did - twice. No response. I would happily respond to any staff that emails me to complete the refunds, but even after checking Spam/Junk (and none of those emails from the school were going to junk before as we had previously been in communication), there has been no communication from the school.

SECOND UPDATE: The business emailed me to ask me to confirm my payment information for the refund which I did within 15 minutes. That was on the 18th of January. Since then I've received no refund or further communication from business, except from the owner, who I've never spoken with before and who decided it would be a good idea to send me multiple private WhatsApp messages to have a "quick chat" about my review. No further mention of refunding me, and he continued to insist on "chatting" after I declined and explained all I wanted was a refund, not a conversation. Just red flags all around with this business.

Such a humble and great platform of people i've seen. The recruitment team is just like a helping family members, all time available to answer your questions, even guide you in a much better way. I've never see such humble and sweet recruitment team so far in any platform. I'm quite happy with the recruitment team.☺️
