I have known David for many years; our careers have taken a similar pathway at several points over the years and he has just helped with my own TRE EAoC. His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for training is boundless and frankly outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and he goes to extraordinary lengths to help fellow pilots which is all down to his core attitude and culture - if there is anyone out there, irrespective of experience or position, who requires any form of training / refresher / instruction / licence examination etc, I cannot think of ANYONE better - He has my wholehearted recommendation....without ANY reservation whatsoever.

David, has conducted and organised two LPC’s for me, the LPC he conducted was brilliant and very professional. He considered my lack of recency whilst also ensuring the check was completed properly and to standard.

Recently David has organised an LPC for me through another examiner and his communication has always been excellent and the examiner he recommended was also fantastic! Also recognising my lack of recency.

Both of the checks have been organised in good simulators with no tech faults!

Could not have asked for better Instructor and Examiner. David is focused solely on the process of getting you back up to speed with the aircraft. His calm instructing style and pragmatic approach is, in my opinion, exactly what you want when jumping back into the simulator. The online videos are great at detailing manoeuvres and competencies required, and are well worth a watch prior to an LPC.

David is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic with his training. I would highly recommend him for any aviation training! His information is spot on and his support is amazing. He also makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed which helps everyone get the most out of it.

Last year I did my sim renewal with David on the 737. Like many at the time I had not been flying for a significant period. David was great during the whole sim session from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable and is always happy to help with any questions. After the sim I went away feeling confident and felt I had learned plenty during the session. Recently renewed my expired 737 rating with The Sim Guide (David Mather TRE). Was an absolute pleasure and some of the very best training I have ever received in my career (7000+ hours). Highly recommend.

I went for a renewal of my type rating and the whole experience was top notch.
The schedule was set entirely around my needs, as I had other commitments.

At the sim centre the training delivery was excellent, providing extra knowledge and apt feedback, in a relaxed familiar atmosphere, which really helped me take the most out of the session.

I would definitely come back again.

I have used Thesimguide twice already for my LPC. Both experiences were excellent. The facilities at L3Harris are top notch. And so is David's guidance to allow for a successful LPC. I can highly recommend them!
