The Student Nest Reviews 

My daughter and 2 friends rented a student accommodation on Smithdown Road through Nest - the 3 girls all paid £250 deposit each. Nest are now refusing to refund the deposits stating an excess use of gas/electricity £900 - how this was possible when they hardly spent any time there due to term time - they have sent a photo of the meter reading for the address on Smithdown Road which consists of 2 separate flats but not the individual flat. I just wonder how many other students they have done this to. I would not recommend this company to anyone -BEWARE AND MAKE SURE YOU REQUEST A METER READING WHEN YOU MOVE IN - I will be taking this further and seeking legal advice

My brother and I have been 2 and a half years, of which we were delighted with the stay. The landlord "Roy" is very attentive, a great person with a great heart and an exemplary landlord, I have met very few people and landlords like him, whenever we had any questions or problems, he helped us as much as possible and quickly. We arrived from Spain, with some difficulty with the English language, but Roy made our stay incredible, thanks Roy and thanks The Student Nest, it has been everything a pleasure.

Now that my review has been verified, please don't trust any of the positive comments given to this organisation,as previous tenants have mentioned that the manager always asks for positive feedback.
If you have any sense please avoid using this organisation and save yourself from unnecessary headaches. I wish the reviewer best of luck if you decided to use student Nest despite the negative feedback. Best of luck Mr O

Attended a property to work on, which is own by Roy Kimani a landlord at 13 Lister Road in Liverpool

Property has 3 bedrooms and communal kitchen with an open living room, very clean and tidy. There are exposed plastic pipe work around the kitchen area which should of been box in and exposed wiring in one of the tenants bedroom again it should of been in a conjunction box label dead. The garden is small with astroturf laid out. There are exposed plywood around the shower room and kitchen area, not sure if the landlord is still continue with work with the current tenants still living in it.

There is a shared walk in shower room, very spacious which is really nice but has cheap cladding and Lino flooring

Overall the room are reasonably spacious and makes a comfortable sleeping area and the house is really close to town but is on a quite street has easy available parking with easy access to buses route

As a landlord Roy is very polite, friendly and willing to help. Definitely the best landlord I have encountered and will put your home comfort in his house above squeezing as many tenants into a small property as possible. Could not recommend more.

The house is at good location in terms of shops for groceries, general shopping. The room size and kitchen are good as well.

Nothing but great words to say, I was in a very bad situation and I got a lot more help then I was ever expecting they when above and beyond to help me and to get me this property is would really recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean and safe place to live.

The bedroom was very nice and comfy. The house was nice and warm, nothing was broken. The landlord was very helpful, was always there for us. The house was also really simple to clean. Really good location, easy to access city centre and uni. Thanks for having me!

DO NOT trust the comments here because he is CONSTANTLY asking for a review BEFORE moving in the apartment.
I booked a room at Student Nest. At first Roy was very helpful. The previous day of my arrival to Liverpool he emailed me that he had double booked a room and my room was taken accidentally by someone else at the same house, so I had to move in a smaller room. It turned out that he LIED. There was NEVER a double booking! All the residents in the house were living there for years. The room was very small and I was not happy. He was telling me that he would move me in another apartment BUT could never tell me the exact date.I cancelled the contract and I left. Thankfully he gave me the deposit back.
The same happened to my friend who booked an apartment at the Student Nest. The house was a LIE and never existed and he paid for a hostel, telling her the apartment was renovating but when she visited the apartment PEOPLE were already staying there with no FREE room.
He is NOT to be trusted.
Do not trust a girl who shows the houses for him. She won't tell you the truth!!!!!!!!

Avoid! I wouldnt reccommend this company to anyone. It is not trustworthy, the Manager told many lies about the property that I had booked. It is possible to pay for house that is not available . Do NOT trust any of the reviews that you read here or on Facebook.

Very responsive and patient by email during the viewing/deposits/moving in phase. All my questions were answered and requests dealt with. You can tell they genuinely care about their tenants' experience, which can't be said for all landlords these days! Would recommend.

I had an excellent experience with the Student Nest. Roy was always helpful and available to answer all my questions. He made my stay at Liverpool very easy.
