Amazing service and food
Amazing service and food. Libby looked after us and was amazing!
The view was stunning and whole trip was really good
Rude security staff but great customer complaints team
Went with my nephew and we were treated appallingly by the security guards. My nephew has face tattoos and I should have realised when the guy who scanned our tickets gave him a dirty look. The security staff were incredibly rude - the one we spoke to refused to let me nephew have his phone back but never explained why. It is Shard policy to ask the ustomer to unlock their phone after it has been through the scanner. Totally understandable but it was never explained that way and things escalated unneccesarily. One securitt guard in paticular was aggressivly so. Needless to say we never went in.
Then I contacted customer service and asked to speak to a manager. They way they operate is a manager does not get back to you directly. You email customer service, they contact the manager who reads the complaint and replies to the customer service team who then contact the customer. A bit of a faff but Jade one of the Guest experience managers did phone me and we got everything sorted. She was incredibly u derstanding, gave a genuine apology for our experience and asked us to come back to have the experience we should have. She was excellent and changed this from a 1 star to a 3 star
What a rip off
What a rip off.
Tickets are not cheap and all you get is the view from a floor high up. It's not a platform or a gallery. The open gallery, or whatever they call it, is another floor with part of the ceiling missing. You can just aimlessly walk around on some fake grass, only one floor up from the 'indoor' floor.
Great View from the Shard
Excellent customer service from start to finish. The viewing gallery is a must see experience, I'm nervous at height but this feels safe & the views are extradinary. Great service by the bar staff who took our order while we were busy photographing everything & then delivered our drinks to a table. The drinks were no more expensive than other London places of interest & there was a lovely ice cream bar too. Worth every penny but a word to anyone paying a visit to avoid the 'complimentary' photo by Magic Memories on entry because it's not complimentary at all. That said we took many of our own photos & I would visit again. Worth it
We had an exceptional experience for my…
We had an exceptional experience for my marriage proposal. The team is extremely professional and organized, and they took great care of us. I highly recommend this experience if you want to make a big impression for your proposal. Special thanks to Shadman, who guided us perfectly to surprise my fiancée, who was completely blown away. Thank you!
Delicious lunch
We had the set lunchtime menu at the Aqua shard restaurant which was delicious.
We were served by Michael, he was very attentive & explained the menu.
Every course was presented well.
Love the linen napkins!
We had a table next to the window & the views were amazing.
Everywhere was clean.
The cost does mount up with drinks & some dishes being extra to the set menu price.
I booked it as a surprise for my husbands birthday, so it was a nice touch that they provided happy birthday chocolates for him.
Thank you, for making it special.
Aggressive time-wasting security checks.
Ridiculous intrusive security checks, worse than airport. Aggressive unhelpful security staff.
£68 for 2 of us to view London
£68 for 2 of us to view London. Why are these places ripping us off?!! (No I didn't go up)
Lovely view of London
Lovely view of London made even better by the service from Christian, both at bar 69 and the floor 72 bar, what a great asset to your team. However, Howard was extremely rude and dismissive to the point that I had to challenged him, I did not expect this and it did upset our experience of the shard
Shady
Awful place to work. Managers who intimidate and lashes out at staff, doesn't listen to concerns over racially motivated microaggressions. Don't care about staff morale, just profits, profits, profits. They fired a friend who spoke out on this and stood up for people wanting a better experience at work. Tickets are far too expensive for what you get - go to Sky Garden or Horizon 22 for free!
Disappointing Experience at The Shard View
I recently visited The Shard View with high expectations for a memorable experience, but unfortunately, my visit turned out to be quite unpleasant.
Upon entry, everything seemed fine. The security staff were polite and welcoming. However, once my friend and I reached the top and began to take pictures of the breathtaking view, our experience took a negative turn. Despite paying £29 for a better photo experience with my own photo light, we were abruptly approached by a security guard who informed us that we couldn't use the light and confiscated it. This unexpected restriction left us feeling uncomfortable and frustrated, especially since it was not clearly stated in the terms and conditions or during the booking process.
Furthermore, while trying to enjoy a drink at the bar, we encountered another issue. We found a table to stand at, as there were no available chairs. However, our enjoyment was short-lived when a waitress asked us to remove our handbags from the table to make space for other clients' drinks. This request felt intrusive and unprofessional, disrupting our experience even further.
Overall, my visit to The Shard View was marred by unnecessary restrictions and unprofessional interactions. I expected a memorable and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. I hope that the management takes steps to improve the visitor experience and communicates any restrictions clearly to avoid similar disappointments for future visitors.
Outstanding view over the amazing London
It is a good experience and you can admire this absolutely amazing metropolis. I loved the fact that we could admire the city from high above and we could see most of the London's famous landmarks: London Bridge, London Tower, the Thames, London Eye, and many more.
They also offer printed photos and the option for an email with many other personalised photos.
As for the price, it could be a bit lower. Many great museums are free to visit.
I know this is a provate business, but still.
The View From The Shard/ TicketPlan
I purchased a ticket on the 24/01/24 for £61 including £4 for insurance cancellation for my friend and myself to go on the shard viewing platform on the 15/02/24. My friend was admitted to hospital on Friday 09/02/24 and despite being discharged can't make the journey from the North East, so I rang the shard to cancel as I wasn't allowed to do it myself. The crooked shard offered me an amendment for £15 (daylight robbery) but refused me cancellation, upon insisting I was told to contact their insurer another crooked entity who after exhausting a list of what you can't apply for refund for, now went down the intrusive route who can apply for a refund and the list of documents you've to provide just to deny you refund. The Shard and their insurer TicketPlan are both bent and crooked turning the viewing into a side hustle like a neighbourhood hoodlem shaking people for money. It's not for me to chase their insurer. I should've had my refund and then for the Shard to make their claim in the background instead of all this muck and inconvenience.
Don't give the Shard your money, don't buy their insurance, it's all an elaborate scam by some shady repugnant minions. Decent folks should vote with their feet and take their business elsewhere and refuse to be coned and fleeced by conmen who are looking for an easy way to get hold of your hard earned cash.
Thanks God for my American Express who came to my rescue offering to refund the charges and raised a dispute on my behalf. I've been fortunate enough to have visited 68 countries and some wonderful ancient monuments so I won't lose sleep for missing out on this crap.
Great view
Good for what it is, make sure you go in decent weather at the right time of year then you will get a good clear view
stunning
We were given this experience for a birthday. Booking was very simple and straightforward. We did have to wait for a short time to get through security but it was well worth the wait. Despite poor weather the view was stunning, we had a glass of champagne served to us by a delightful young man who was just starting his first day and we wish him well for the future. We then met up with Michael whose knowledge of London and quirky anecdotes were outstanding, he made our morning. All in all a wonderful trip and will definitely recommend to all.
For a woman of Joy Behar's age
For a woman of Joy Behar's age, Ms Behar is the most incredibly ignorant, uneducated and ill informed TV personality imaginable! Maybe Joy, with just minimal amount of research you would understand why the Electoral College is one of the most brilliant inclusions to the Articles of Confederation. But then again, you are far too close minded to let logical fact influence your opinions.
Not worth the money in my opinion
Staff were lovely but there were long queues to get through airport style security (remove belt, coat, contents of pockets into trays to be scanned) Queue for the lift. There are two lifts but one was out of order. Finally reach the viewing & low cloud meant there wasn't much to look at. What you can see you can probably see from other, cheaper, viewing platforms. Not worth the money in my opinion.
Amazing Service
The views from the Shard were amazing. Tickets purchased as a present, and being scared of heights I went with trepidation. However , thanks to the patience , understanding and knowledge of both Rachael and especially Chris Taylor I had a wonderful experience. Thanks again to both of them. Made my day
Absolute rip off !
Went to theShard for my son’s birthday . Booked for 6 pm , so we could have a few cocktails. Watch the sunset then the night sky line. By the time we got to the viewing level after having photos taken.waited 10 minutes for a drink as only 1 barman . Then the tannoy messages started saying the bars would closet at 6-30 and we would all have to leave by 7 . I paid £92 for less than an hour. If they had informed me of the early closing. We could have gone much earlier. Absolute rip off .
