Completely unimpressed. Very expensive quotes and callout fee. The 2nd star was given to the engineer who visited, who couldn't have been more friendly. My advice to him is I think you should move to a better company.

We ve just had a new pane of leaded glass replaced in bedroom.and new french door handles and have to say from start to finish what a professional efficient service,reasonably priced turned up when they said they would bang on time,lovely guys friendly all done within 30 mins,will definitely be my go to company for anything to do with my windows and doors.Thanks guys

Phoned to cancel fitting of new hinges on windows at a cost of £75 per opening. I sold the house and spoke to the manager and she was abrupt talking over me saying I was 2 days over the cancellation period and I either pay and have the work done or pay and not have the work done and I pay either way. Poor customer services and this was the Cwmbran window doctor

August 2022 WD Cwmbran, South Wales, removed and cleaned an attic window as we had no way of cleaning it ourselves. As it is now fogging up between the panes, I phoned today to arrange for them to look at it. The woman who answered the phone was abrupt, rude and shouted me down, diagnosing the problem without even looking at it. I resent being treated so poorly. She needs an attitude adjustment if she is to remain in customer service.

They did a great job with the window it looks great !

During the storms over the May Day Bank holiday weekend (2021) one of my upvc windows leaked water. I initially contacted the company who installed the windows but was informed that they were out of guarantee... and was quoted £130 call out charge for them to come and inspect the problem. However they recommended that I contact The Window Doctor as their charges would be lower.
I therefore contacted The Window Doctor on 5th May and was asked to send photographs of the problem as they would probably be able to assess the problem from the images. The company eventually responded on 20th May informing me that they could not assess the problem from the images and that I would need a survey visit which would cost £72. Unfortunately the message went into my spam folder and I didn't discover it until 10th June. I agreed to pay for a survey (which I had to do up-front) and received confirmation on 14th June, so 40 days after initial contact we had got as far as requesting a survey.
Over the following weeks I contacted the company on a number of occasions to ask when the survey would take place. On each occasion I was informed that they were very busy and would be in touch as soon as possible. Eventually I was informed that the survey would take place on 27th July - 83 days after initial contact!
In fairness, the surveyor was quite professional and explained what he understood the problem to be. I asked him if he could provide a rough estimate of the cost to repair the window, but he informed me that he had no idea as estimates were done by the office staff.
I waited a further couple of weeks and contacted the company again and again was informed that they were very busy and I would receive a quote for the work as soon as possible.
I eventually received the quote on 31st August - 118 days after initial contact!!
The quote was completely outrageous - almost £600 - and they wanted 50% payment in advance! - I could almost buy a complete new window for that!
As a footnote, as I'd become so tired of waiting for this company to respond, I contacted a local company on 24th August to enquire if they would be able to undertake the necessary repairs. LESS THAN 4 HOURS LATER 2 men arrived, quickly surveyed the problem and less than 1 hour later the job was done - cost £60!!

This is the first time I have ever used social media in order to warn prospective customers about the appalling behaviour of the Window Doctor company, based in Castleford. It is a salutary lesson to study online reviews before doing business with a company that treats its customers with such contempt.

In 2018, I used the services of the Window Doctor to refurbish seven windows in a flat overlooking the sea at a total cost including VAT of £860. I mention the sea because the windows are subject to the forces of nature, including that of salt which can cause corrosion. I was given a two year warranty which expired in June 2020. Unfortunately, I was unable to visit the property due to lockdown and so it was only this year that, following a visit, it became clear that two windows had seized and were unable to open.

When I subsequently telephoned the company I was informed that, because the warranty had expired in June the previous year, the cost of repair for the two windows would be £300. I sent several emails to the Managing Director, Phil Gledhill, explaining the circumstances whilst asking whether or not it would be fair for his company to at least consider extenuating circumstances given my inability to visit the property during lockdown. At his request, I sent several photographs of the seized windows but have yet to hear back.

Following yet another phone call to a rude and singularly unhelpful staff member (Kirsty), I have now been told he has a bad back and is therefore unable to respond to emails. Ten weeks later, I am still awaiting a response from the absent Mr Gledhill who is apparently the only person in the organisation dealing with customer complaints.

The moral of this sad state of affairs is a simple one. Please, please check online reviews, especially those of Trustpilot which I wish I had read prior to my engaging this dreadful firm.

Just had a porch door lock and latch repaired, work was to a poor standard and didn't clear up afterwards. wont be using him again.

We phoned Paul and asked if he would come and give us a quote for a misty patio window. We made an appointment for the same day. He was very punctual and gave us a good quote. He came back with the replacement panel, when he said he would. The garden looks brilliant through a clear patio door. He was very friendly and professional. We won't hesitate to call you again. Thank you!!

After paying the deposit and locking in a 'guaranteed' price, I was then sent higher bill for all the parts they had to order in. The deposit is non - refundable so you either loose your deposit or you have to pay the higher price! I had three quotes and this now became the highest. The staff were incredible rude and it got so bad I asked to speak with a manager - they refused! Please contact me directly before you use them and I'd be happily to share some of the emails - completely unprofessional! I was told the job would take 2 weeks - my windows weren't completed for SIX MONTHS and they had the most ridiculous excuses like; they hadn't got the right parts or they couldn't find parking space so left. They also said unless I provided parking they wouldn't return - they had obviously been to the property when they quoted and this wasnt a problem then. I eventually spoke to the manager who instead of taking any sort of responsibility, just threatened bailiffs. I settled the bill BUT a VERY unpleasant experience!

Also, I spotted some of their five star reviews on google as members of staff I'd spoken too! So please please dont be fooled! They shouldnt be in business!

Rang and arranged an appointment for someone to give us a price to replace a misted window - unfortunately no one turned up or even rang to let us know they were unable to come. I won't be contacting them again. If they don't wish our business that's fine I'm sure another company will.

Called 5 times. Left messages and not even a return call. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use!!!. £85 for a handle and some internal springs and 20 mins labour. No receipt You know that feeling when you have been ripped off.

This company was very slow. I had to wait 6 weeks for them to come out to do the quote which cost me £72. I then had to wait ages for them to give me the price for the work to be done. They quoted £1000 just to tweak a few windows. I would advise against using them and going elsewhere.
