Thoughtly is on the cutting-edge of technology! With their constant improvements, as well as the way the platform strives to make things simple and easy to use, it is fast becoming a leader in the space! In addition, the many tutorials especially the ones done LIVE by the team, really helps getting a new user up to speed on using the platform efficiently!
The technology is definitely advanced, and the AI agents are smart enough to handle complex queries. My team is liking the workflow automation, and it is working fine for local calls.
Thoughtly is a solid platform if you are looking to automate your inbound leads. The interface is clean, and the stability is great because I can duplicate agents easily. It is definitely saving me time and reducing manual work.
We get a lot of inquiries daily, and Thoughtly helps us stay ahead of them. It reaches out fast, gathers student info, and directs them to the correct advisor. It’s made our enrollment flow much more organized and predictable.
We run a busy insurance office, and the amount of outbound communication we deal with is insane. Thoughtly takes the first layer of that completely off our plate. It reaches out, gathers what it needs, and then sends the warmed up conversations to our licensed agents.
We use it to confirm appointments the day before. It integrates with our calendar so we don't have to do it manually. Had a little trouble connecting it at first but it runs by itself now. meaningful time saver as we see it
We get a lot of student enrollment calls each month. Thoughtly takes the first calls and gathers the details our advisors need. It has made the process easier and the pricing works for us.
If you read their self-written company description, you’d think Thoughtly was an AI revolution. “Natural human-sounding agents,” “seamless CRM integration,” “SOC2 and HIPAA compliance”—all the buzzwords, none of the results. The truth? It’s a smoke show wrapped in startup jargon, run by kids who mistake confidence for competence.
I’ve been in business for 28 years. I’ve seen fly-by-night companies come and go, but Thoughtly might be the most arrogantly clueless operation I’ve encountered. Their staff talks in endless circles, using corporate phrases that sound profound but mean nothing in practice. At one point, a *22-year-old who called himself the ‘principal’ of the firm* told me he was both the head of Thoughtly *and* a representative of a “partner company” that allegedly powers their AI agents—for another **$750 a month**. So, let’s do the math: Thoughtly ($500–$1000/month) + mandatory CRM ($120/month) + their “AI agent builder” ($750/month) = a platform that costs nearly $2,000 before you even get a working campaign.
They burned through my entire “trial period” before I ever saw a live call. When I objected, the same kid who claimed to “run the company” suddenly didn’t have the authority to do anything without the CFO and CEO. He canceled the wrong services, billed the rest, and then told me it was “a shame we couldn’t continue.” Next thing I know, they’re claiming my trial had ended and that we now owed overages.
Their “AI” never followed my flow script as written. They stripped punctuation so the voice bot read everything like one long, caffeinated run-on sentence. Then they started using *their own script*—not the one I wrote. Calls went off-message, my minutes ballooned 20% over the limit, and they billed me for it. When I questioned them, they actually complained that the experience had been “difficult for *them*.”
Support was a complete joke. They ignored my attorney and instead emailed me directly, probably thinking that made them look “assertive.” It didn’t. It made them look juvenile. Their contract even includes a **non-disparagement clause**—yes, they literally try to ban unhappy customers from warning others. That alone should tell you everything.
Their idea of professionalism is a flurry of Zoom calls and Slack threads that go nowhere. They don’t apologize, don’t take responsibility, and don’t seem to understand that “trial” means *testing the service before billing for failure*. They burned up my time, my patience, and a couple thousand dollars for two days of actual use.
If Thoughtly were a person, it’d be a college intern with a fancy job title and no idea how to do the job. Their tech is immature, their leadership nonexistent, and their ethics questionable.
Bottom line: do not be fooled by the glossy language. Thoughtly is not an “AI go-to-market platform”—it’s a masterclass in how to waste money while being talked down to by children who think they’re visionaries.
