One of the amazing employee management software, i have been using this since 2016 and it has always been a superb experience, i am able to track the real-time details of my employees and it really helped me in increasing their productivity.
Kudos! to the team of time doctor, anytime i have any support issues they always jump up to help me almost immediately.

I am using the Solo Plan because I don’t work with a team yet. When I decided to work with Time Doctor I wanted to improve the entire quality of my life, to track the way I am using time online in order to have better and accurate feedback and after that to make some adjustments.

It is an extraordinary tool to evaluate and to enhance the way I am spending the time therefor the way I am living my life.
Is very easy to use it and I installed the app also on the phone and Ipad. Now I am 100% in control!

Time Doctor has helped me grow my business by allowing us to get help from teams located in different countries and time zones. Obviously I couldn't be awake 24/7 to monitor my teams, so this software gave me peace of mind knowing that while I was resting or focusing on other tasks, my team was doing what they were supposed to be. This is the worst software ever! Our medium-sized team has been using Time Doctor for a long time now. I think there is not a single day that the app has worked as it should. I guess all the positive reviewers here probably have only used it in a limited setup. It is also suspicious that almost all of them have been invited by the company to write a review.

Apart from being full of bugs, the app requires full access to your computer, otherwise it won't even run. I would never advise to do any sensitive work on a computer with Time Doctor installed as this is basically malware at worst, and at the very least an exploitable security risk. Stay away from this as much as possible.

* Synchronization is broken. Tasks not showing up is pretty normal. Times not correctly synced to the backend too. And sometimes synchronization just stops working completely
* JIRA integration doesn't work half of the time
* Time recordings are off and constantly need to be fixed manually
* QA is unbelievably bad. They had multiple serious issues in the past, e.g. instead of one recording, Time Doctor automatically created thousands of mini recordings with small gaps between them. Also, they summed up times incorrectly for months (yes, the totals calculation was wrong!). You better double check everything yourself, never trust this software.
* Working in multiple time zones is frustrating (shows the wrong time and can't even be fixed manually), and don't even get me started on DST..
* The desktop app interface is buggy as hell, e.g. the "Are you still working" nag screen always shows the wrong task and won't let you continue unless you select that _wrong_ task or say that you didn't work even though this is not true, so you have to fix it on the web afterwards in any case
* The web project / task search interface is abysmal (why separate fields? I don't know who had this stupid idea). And if you lose your JIRA sync (which happens at least once every week), you are completely unable to log work
* In the iOS app the task search is almost unusable, especially JIRA tasks. It is just impossible to find anything. Their full-text search is broken, many tasks show up behind the keyboard and can't be selected, and searching by ticket ID doesn't work at all.
* The desktop app is basically spyware. It won't even start unless you give it full access to your computer, even if the employer doesn't want to spy on their employees at all. The software is made for toxic big brother environments only, not for creative agile workplaces
* The app interface is bad and lacks crucial functionality. Because nothing ever works you have to use the web site every day as well to correct their mistakes. Also you can't add any additional recording information from the app which is often necessary.
* The web is bad too. The time edit interface sucks, and employee reports don't contain necessary additional information. And if you try to enter via the main page, there is constant nagging because they want you to do surveys instead of doing work. Correct, not only do they spy on you, they want to collect even more data for themselves when all you want to do is work around their bugs.

Instead of being a useful tool the whole thing is just a colossal nuisance. We are currently looking for other options as this software reduces productivity like nothing else does.

I decided NOT to purchase this software because of the manner in which I was treated by the company when I made contact.

I sent them a list of criteria I needed fulfilled and details on how many people, computers and how the the network was configured.

First, they ignored my criteria and pushed and pushed for me to do their 'free trial' which I'm not going to do until I know it's at least got MOST of what I'm looking for. Can you imagine what would happen if I had to test every piece of software I was considering???

So, I was diligent and insisted they respond to my queries. I had to make those queries no fewer than FOUR times before I got an answer which, basically, consisted of "We can't do what you need". At which point I thanked them and moved on to other software.

THEN, Worse, they started spamming me with all sorts of stuff about their software.

Worst of all, I got a completely unsolicited and, in my opinion, incredibly RUDE e-mail where they are 'instructing' me about how "Some employees might not be happy to use the Time Doctor software if they feel like it's 'monitoring' or 'big brother' and providing me with "... ways you can make your team more comfortable with the software..."

Seriously?! Are they actually trying to tell me how to manage my own business??!

I finally had to threaten legal action to get them to stop.

THEN, they just HAD to contact me one last time. BUT, instead of "We apologize, we won't contact you again." which while a childish last-word game, would have been OK if they'd done that and stopped. But NO. They had to take the time to 'explain' to me that their way of doing things is 'better' and quote US law to me to prove they hadn't actually done anything wrong.

That is terribly immature and unprofessional, not to mention just plain RUDE.

I don't care HOW good the software it. I refuse to do business with a firm that hires such a childish and petulant staff.

Good app. Sometimes I don't receive the reports or the plugin on my computer thinks that I'm not working. But overwise it works properly..

We like the product. Easy to use.
Support gets back to you quickly.

Working has expected. I use the solo plan.

Great tool for time reporting, allowing our team greater physical mobility and time flexibility. For monitoring of productivity, it would be very useful if on top of time usage also time efficiency could be measured. This would require that tasks have a time duration and an end date. Integration/synchronization with assigned Outlook tasks would be great. Furthermore, it would be more user-friendly and -convenient if user could adjust/increase the display size of the desktop Pro application. With a 1920x1080 display, displayed text comes out quite small on a notebook screen.

It is a good time tracking app. And it has a lot of features that we could use. Great job. Keep up the good work

We are a small-scale web agency working remotely so TD works great for our setup. We have 3 remote workers working for a business owner so now along with Asana integration, it is always clear where time has been spent. In this way, it is really easy to charge my clients as human resources are really transparent with TD. Thanks TD team for all the hard work you are doing maintaining this product.

Time Doctor is a brilliant tool. I use it for tracking my own time as a freelancer, and find the reports and the overview it gives me very useful. It helps with billing and writing quotes a lot which is quite obvious, but I have also found that it helps me to focus on one task at a time. There have been occasional technical issues with the software - the most frustrating thing for me is that the small timer toolbar can be hard to move around the screen and be obstructive. When there was a short amount of downtime I found the communication from Time Doctor very good.
