Total Tax has prepared our federal and state taxes now for many years. Initially they straightened out our tax problems when my former CPA flubbed badly. I, a retired attorney, had stopped preparing my own tax returns (tearing out my hair for weeks) when I could no longer understand the annual tax statements of our municipal bond transactions. Total Tax has been professional, accurate and fast.

First I want to say Total Tax is awesome with everything they do. We relocated from out of state and I did not have my withholdings done correctly and she was able to advise me on what to do to correct it and she filed the correct papers to get the overpaid taxes back. We have used Total Tax every year since the and will continue to do so, The office staff is very friendly and the tax package sent out for the clients to prepare for tax season is the best I have ever seen. I use it every year and come totally prepared. I believe this is what has helped with a quick turnaround of our tax return. Their newsletter is very informative. Tamar has helped us establish other deductions to keep our taxes low and legal. Scary at it seems we look forward to our visit with her even if we owe taxes. Total Tax, Inc has been our tax preparation company for our itemized joint tax return since about 1990. Their service has been stellar. We have rental properties, as well as our home, and for us, keeping up with the many yearly changes in the tax laws is far too complicated for us to handle. When switching financial advisors this past year, our RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) was not done. Total Tax, Inc came to our rescue. If you were fortunate enough to find Total Tax by a google search, please let them help you. I went through a divorce and found out that my spouse did not file any of our taxes for 10 years!! I tried handling this on my own and with another accountant without much success. I filed a offer in compromise on my own since the IRS wanted me to pay them $60k in interest and penalties, or threatened to lien my house. I received a rejection letter after 6 months of waiting and felt completely lost. I was told to hire a tax attorney by many and happy that I didn't. I found Total Tax by searching google and they guided me with such kindness and eagerness to help me. There was a tight deadline to negotiate the offer again. Becky gathered our information and spoke to an IRS agent immediately. I was amazed by the contacts she had and was able to have real discussion with them. After Becky's hard work, they accepted my $5,000 offer that I originally proposed! I feel so blessed that I found Becky and know that this would have never have came out good for me if I did this on my own, or hired an attorney. I am now working with Tamar to help me with my business taxes and she has already guided me with some areas that I need to change. It feels good to be free of IRS debt and to know I can work with good people going forward with my business.
