Cheese and tomato cob was expensive at £5.99, my diet means I can't have crisps so opted for chips but no discount given for not having crisps. Seemed unfair. My partner opened his cob to find mould on the bottom, he took it back and changed it, we won't be going back.

Shocking service at cafe. Mothers day and staff in cafe as miserable as sin. Food from 12noon but 40min wait..

Ordering online over the festive season can be a nightmare but not with Trowell. I ordered numerous times and always got a first class service. From order to dispatch to delivery was effortless. I particularly liked the Christmas Sale as Trowell will know. Fab prices!! hehe. I was updated at every opportunity and everything was in immaculate condition when delivered. It's also great you are a family run business and there aren't many of you left.Many thanks to Trowell and you are doing a great job too!!!!! 😁

I hate writing negative reviews but I think this is very important issue. I have alternative milk. Although some establishments do not charge at all, I do appreciate i may need to pay a little more because it costs more than dairy. However I was shocked to see that Trowell Garden Centre charges £1 extra. They also charge an extra 20 pence if you have decaffeinated. An extra £1.20? Really? My point is, these alternatives are vital for some people so come on Trowell, be fair to your customers.

Waited 20 minutes in queue for food. Only at the point of ordering did we find out that what we wanted was unavailable. Why don't you put up a sign informing your customers of this instead of wasting everyone's time?

I bought my daughter some, in my view expensive, Christmas Lemax models for an early Christmas present. With added discount these particular models were the cheapest I could find online. I must admit when they arrived I was impressed with them nearly as much as my 3 year old grandson. Sadly one developed a fault after a couple of weeks. My daughter discussed via email replacement with Trowells who really couldn't have been more helpful. In fact as the model was out of stock they replaced it with a much dearer model chosen by her at no extra cost. She advised them when she had returned her model and the new one was dispatched and arrived the next day. Our little boy was so happy. We can't thank them enough this service was over and beyond even delivering it to my daughter rather than back to me. Thank you to the staff involved and to the customer practices of this garden centre, well done.

Purchased a Lemax figurine from their website with express delivery. A week and a half later I chased to be told Dpd must have lost it and was issued a refund. Item now out of stock and It’s too late to find a replacement before the birthday. Shocking customer service, would not recommend this site!

I ordered £400 pounds of lemax Christmas decorations. Great online price compared to the shops. Arrived quickly and beautifully packed. I haven't had any dealings with their customer services. So can't comment on that. I was very happy with the online price and delivery.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! CAUTION WITH PRICES. I tried to buy a Christmas decoration but the price on the till was much higher than the price on label of the item. The shop assistant went to see the manager. The manager didn’t even come to talk to me. The shop assistant took the item from me and refused to sell me the item at the price it was labelled. Very poor customer service!! BEWARE!!

Heard great things about the food so gave it a try. Dissapointing to say the least! Granddaughters fish stars were very overcooked, hard, the fishcake type filling had nearly all gone, was expecting fish finger type filling but as no info apart from the name on the menu, not really fish. Quiche was nice but pastry hard on edges and the chips were lovely and soft but had an after taste of oil and fish, not great with a quiche! Complained about stars and was told, should have told them earlier as they would have swapped them, my Granddaughter is not 2 yet and was eating the fries and waiting for stars to cool so, taking it away at this point would have resulted in a paddy. Staff just thanked me for letting them know, disgusting as quiche, fish and kids star meal with drinks cost £32. Won't be recommending or going back!!!!

Customer service at the till needs to be improved.
I haven't been for a little while , but was very disappointed.
I had only 4 outdoor plants purchased.. at the till I asked if I could have a box ?
The girl at the till said 'yes, on the green shelf ' ......that was it....
Looked behind the till with no help and I came back to the till with a box...granted not a hardship..but i
packed my purchases ....the till operator had her back to me the whole time literally 2 inchs away, no other customers waiting at the 2 tills open ...chatting to her mate...what has happened to polite, cheerful and helpful customer service ...so disappointed ...

Basically I bought two square tubs 32cm. To match another tub the same height. Unfortunate both tubs I received were 30cm so looked visibly different in height. They offered me a full refund but I'd have to organise with DPD for collection or they'd give a refund of the postage. Neither option was a good option for me as I would have to shop again or Basically pay for a slightly smaller item. There was no movement on this after several emails and a phone chat so I reluctantly took the easier option and kept the 2 tubs. Not a major cost involved but considering they admitted the items were incorrect sizes a goodwill gesture would of made me feel better and this would have been customer care. Not sure they care enough

Online service is useless! Your allowed to order items that don't arrive (express delivery paid) then 6 days later informed items no longer in stock! It's a garden center and at very least I'd expect 2 products ie plants and WEED KILLER. Pretty much bread and NO butter stuff that. 🙄

I was nearly put off from buying from Trowel GC by some of the Trustpilot reports. However I went ahead and am very pleased to highly rate my purchase. Trowel kept me informed about progress and delivered the well wrapped package very timely. I could ask for no more.

Amazing service! Easy to order, item priced really competitively and brilliant communications. Absolutely blown away that my order was with me less than 24 hours after placing it! Would definitely use this company again

AVOID! if 30% bad reviews isn't enough, then heres my experience....
I asked to return a hanging egg chair because my wife who is slim and 5ft 7" couldn't fit comfortably in it. We failed to find any friends who found it comfortable. The company response was totally unhelpful, evasive and purposefully antagonistic. I asked them to send me a photo of someone sitting and fitting in the chair comfortably. They sent a pic of a staff member with a large rabbit face with long ears sticking up superimposed. They really could not care less. Just want your money at the expense of people. Avoid.

We contacted the garden center to place an order on a £946 patio set and asked about delivery to which we were told that even though it states free delivery over £50 this does not cover “patio sets”. So we duly asked for a price which we were then told they couldn’t give one until we placed the order!!! That’s a bit like ordering food at a restaurant, eating it and not knowing the price until the bill arrives. Very confusing and not helpful. May I suggest don’t advertise “on line”.

Excellent online service- bought a pack of garden solar lanterns on a sunday.despatched next day and delivered wednesday,very efficient,well packed and good value- will use this firm again..

Visited as we wanted plants, grow bags and marginals for a wildlife pond with a plan to include coffee and cake at the cafe.
Prices for marginal plants were ludicrous, over double the price of our local aquatic shop for exactly the same brand, variety and size.
Shrubs were equally overpriced (we purchased two beautiful, healthy hydrangeas at Aldi on the way home for the price of one the same size at Trowell).
Deciding not to purchase plants we went to the cafe as consolation. Despite the cafe being less than half full we had to wait to be seated, then wait for a different waitress to come and take our order. Instead of being able to view the cakes available, you have to ask the waitress. We were presented with a list, no descriptions or explanations, simply a list of cakes. We placed our order and waited… and waited… and left!
This used to be a lovely garden centre, family run, with quality plants at reasonable prices with a lovely welcoming cafe with super service. It has now expanded into an impersonal, cold and overpriced garden retail centre. Such a shame!

Fabulous. What an amazing experience this was with this company. I have never ordered any goods previously from here before. Ordered my goods late and they still arrived in time before Christmas.
I am so pleased with my items, they are beautiful ornaments at a great price. The items were really packed well and completely protected from getting damaged and the delivery was great too, with up to date emails advising delivery times etc from DPD.
