I sold some of my heirloom gold pieces to him. Here’s what I’ve learned from the experience — and what I hope will help you too:

Know what you have. If your pieces are solid gold, use that to your advantage. It truly makes a difference in value.

Get multiple estimates. Don’t settle on the first offer, no matter how convincing it sounds.

Shilomi has been in the game a long time — and he played it well. The market is strong right now, but for him, it’s business. He got an excellent deal. He gave me only half of melt value. I agreed because I didn’t know better.

Now I do — and I hope you do too. Do your research. Read up. Shop around. It can mean hundreds or thousands more in your pocket.

They were very friendly even though I showed up without an appointment and late in the day. I was very grateful that Shlomi and his staff took their time and did not rush me as they explained the process to me and made me an offer that was easy to accept. I'll go back to them whenever I have more jewelery I'm ready to part with. This was a first-time experience for me and it couldn't have been better.
