Commonplace is a Scam
I listed my Tonal 1 for sale on Commonplace for $1,500 and the estimated take-home pay was $1,000. I wasn't crazy about the $500 but ultimately was okay with it since they would do the uninstalling and hauling it away. It was picked up and my actual payout was only $600. Nothing changed with the equipment's condition and was offered no explanation why my payout was so much less. I understand that the payout amount was "estimated" but a $900 difference is significant and warranted an explanation. This, after two no-shows and no communication from their moving team, meaning we sat around for literally hours TWICE just for the movers not to show. Their customer service is all AI and when I asked to speak with a human, the AI mysteriously was unable to connect me. I emailed their customer service and crickets. DO NOT sell your equipment through Commonplace unless you like being ripped off and ignored.
