I also have been affected by the Tutorfair to Superprof merger. Just as the previous poster, I am a professional tutor and have been using the Tutorfair website for many years.

There was very little notice before we were told there would be a seamless transfer over to Superprof. I am hundreds of pounds down as the new platform is apparently to reimburse the tutor. My clients are international so have gone direct with me. However, I've not been paid for 10 days due to various problems.

Tutorfair is a disgrace to do this to hardworking people.

I've been working with Tutorfair for years as a tutor. Suddenly, with only a week's notice, they told us that they were merging with another company, in other words they've been bought out. We were promised that the transition would be smooth and that all of our info would be available on the new platform without delay, ready to go. As it turns out, I'm having to fight so hard to get not only my information correct, but more importantly to get the money that I am owed. After so many years of loyal service, I am disgusted with the way that 'Tutor-Unfair' has sold its tutors down the river. Not happy. Superprof is an inferior platform, we were not consulted, or given enough notice, I am disgusted at the treatment we are being subjected to. I'd advise anyone to give Tutorfair in any of its forms or Superprof a very wide berth. Found a good tutor but inferior platform. Confusing messages from platform when communicating with the tutor. Unsuccessful in requesting lessons and still no idea what went wrong.
I’m happy that it has wasted much of my time trying to book lessons.

Excellent tutoring service. As a tutor for more than 3 years with them, I have found many good students. They respect and support their tutors at any stage of the lessons. I recommend Tutorfair to students and other tutors. It is a professional reliable service overall.

Very rubbish and unfair company that revolve around unprofessionalism and have no code of conduct in place. The managers (especially someone called Hannah) doesn’t know how to deal with its tutors and ignore calls. They don’t follow protocol and overall are ungreatful. I’m unsatisfied with the company.

I begun using Tutorfair last week. I found 2 great tutors for teaching one child. And 2 horrendous ones for my other daughter.

The customer service here is absolutely atrocious. If all is well then all is well, if there is a problem. There is no protocol and no response.

Parents have to leave their address when registering, this is a safety issue. All of our lessons are online, I should not be forced into leaving my address.

One tutor was just mentally unstable, tutoring psychology no less. He called me nothing short of 20 times despite not having a lesson booked him him. Then I believe he showed up at our house. Very good job I gave the wrong address.

The other tutor cancelled our first trial lesson then forgot about the paid trial lesson that he agreed to. He said he would refund me. He has not. I've contacted Tutorfair, absolutely no response. I tried to report the absence of the tutor via the feedback form they send after the lesson, but the link to report that the lesson didn't happen is an error page. You can only say everything went well and everything else is an error page. This website is shambolic and dangerous. I've had to open a claim to get my money back.

Steer well clear.

The Maths buster class has helped me make sense of some of the more tricky concepts in foundation and higher tier Gcse. The teacher Mark and his assistant work super hard to give much needed help to their students.

For tutors, I don't recommend working at Tutorfair. The customer service, whether directly from them or their affiliates (i.e. TutorMate), was poor on multiple occasions. I experienced rude replies, my DBS going missing for months, and finally being locked out of messaging potential clients who posted on the website because my very first (and only) client decided not to continue after a trial lesson. I should note that I'm a tutor with 8 years of experience and this was my poorest experience from a tutoring agency. Unfortunately there is nothing I can positively recommend, as the many hours and logins over a long period time only resulted in me making under £10 in income. I recommend investing your time in one of the many other options available from other tutoring websites.

Fantastic maths with mark. Easy to follow teaching . Super encouraging made me enjoy studying and thats a first!! Well done Mark you made it fun.

My son really enjoys these weekly lessons with Mark. The lesson is so organised by Asher who sends out the reminders, the sheets, the links, then the answers, I cannot praise the organisation highly enough.

Mark makes the lessons easy to understand and I genuinely think that my son looks forward to his lessons on line with Mark!!!

The sessions are great as they are helping me by recapping all the things i've already learned and learning different ways of solving questions.

I REALY LOVE TUTORFAIR BECAUSE IT REALY USEFULL TO ME BUT IT IS GOING TOO FAST

I find the sessions really helpful as I don't always understand things in class or the teachers can't get round to answering my questions and so having this resource and being able to ask questions is incredibly useful to me. Thank you :)

very useful, I ended up learning a lot

I had a great learning experience and I feel as though it has benefitted me quite a lot.

Both me and my girlfriend have found tutors through Tutorfair and found their service to be excellent. The team is very helpful if anything goes wrong (we had a weird thing with invoicing because the tutoring was being paid for by work) and they solved our problem right away. The tutors were really nice and responded quickly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a tutor. Plus they are donating part of the less price to charity so you will be helping others whilst getting help for yourself!

Mark Maclaine maths matery classes are very well presented. The topics are explained in depth , making sure that the students understand the concept fully and are able to follow the questions.
Each and every step is explained step by step making sure that all relevant points are covered.
The teaching style is very natural and student friendly. I find the topics which were very difficult to understand are now so simple . I am able to work out higher level questions independently. Had it not been Mark's teaching, it would not have been possible. Asher manages the programme very promptly. Respects our requests and makes sure that any querries are answered and implemented. I can write a lot more. But I would recommend to learners of all ages to join this wonderful class which also is a good value for money.

We started “Math with Mark” free sessions in summer, then decided to continue with the GCSE Mastery course. The sessions are well structured, excellent clear communication, friendly live easy-to-access on Facebook and via ZOOM. Both Mark and Asher are great, very efficient. Mark is easy going, polite, positive, energetic and always helpful! Each session has a paper that is emailed in advanced. My son finds these sessions very helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Maths with Mark is fantastic. He explains the topic thoroughly, is clear and shows how he gets the answers. It is also great having the videos so I can replay anything that i didn't understand. Highly recommend.
