I was lured to this site via deception
I was lured to this site via a Job Listing on LinkedIn which turned out to be nothing more than just another freelance site.
After I spent some time uploading profile etc, I was not even given the ability to apply for a single job, before I hit their pay wall asking my to pay and subscribe.
None of this was mentioned on LinkedIn.
I wrote to support for a 30 day free trail, which I think is only reasonable, and support didn't even bother to respond.

Just to clarify, free users are able to apply for 1 job per month at no cost. However, each job listing also has its own application limit, and if that limit has been reached, you won't be available to apply, which may well be what happened in your case. As a LinkedIn user, a free trial is also displayed directly on the job listing when you attempt to apply, so we'd encourage you to keep an eye out for that next time.

This platform is nothing but a money grabbing scam. Can’t apply for more than one job a month without paying… That should already tell you everything about this company. Forcing you to pay to apply for jobs… They CLEARLY don’t care about freelancers at all.

Twine is an absolute waste of money
Twine is an absolute waste of money; they advertise on LinkedIn and give the option for easy apply, but the link moves you to the twine.net page and in order to apply for anything - you must pay over £80. The worst part is - most jobs I saw there were scams. I applied for so many, but whatever I received answers from were simply trying to fish your data.

Dubious Signing Up Practices
Email received today, I never signed up for it and there is nothing on the blank profile to identify myself so already getting red flags. Either employees are scamming the company by just adding X amount of people onto their website by getting email addresses from places like LinkedIn so they get commission, or their business model actively supports this sort of shady practice whereby ther are adding people's email addresses into their system and creating a blank profile. Not sure which, but either way I don't appreciate it.

We recently fixed an issue where some users who had previously signed up (in some cases quite a while ago) weren’t receiving emails they had opted into, and a small number have only just started receiving updates again. That may be what’s happened here.
We definitely don’t create accounts or add people without their consent.
