When a property may qualify for a reduced SDLT rate on the basis of dereliction, HMRC's criteria are specific, and the consequences of an incorrect filing can be significant, including penalties and interest.
As a firm regulated by the ACCA, we have a professional obligation to conduct appropriate due diligence before submitting any return on a client's behalf.
We appreciate that this was not the service model you were looking for on this occasion, and we wish you well.
You feel like they really know their stuff
You feel like UK Property Accountants really know their stuff - which is great! It does feel like that comes at a cost but I guess that is to be expected and as long as the costs justify the benefits then I guess is more or less fair. Thanks for the help - this is much appreciated.
