Received an air rifle a little over a year ago. It has had very little use. Was going to use it today and noticed a screw on the floor. As I looked the rifle over both screws that hold the firing mechanism on to the stock were broken off. As I had received this as a present I didn’t have a receipt. So first I called the store that is was purchased at and they tried to help me. Then I contacted the company and they were zero help. Didn’t even offer for me to send it in and pay out of my pocket to have it fixed.basically said if I can’t show proof of purchase they can’t do anything for me and hung up.

Barrel cleaning kits not for a Umarex Gauntlet
The Otis airgun cleaning kit you recommended does not work as per instructions for a Gauntlet. The breech is to short to allow breech to muzzle cleaning with this flexible rod.The brass tip is too long.
I have yet to find a short tipped, flexible pushing "rod" for your Gauntlet. I tried the "Umarex .177 and .22 Caliber Air Gun Cleaning Kit - Includes Cleaning Rod, Brushes, Mops, Jags, Pads, Driver Set and Thread Adapter" and it was useless. Fortunately for me Amazon let me return it.

Quick service and the break action Ruger Mark 4 pellet pistol is nice. I am finally getting the trigger loosened up but with the new pellets it is very accurate. I bought it for fun while my right arm is healing, use my left hand for target practice.
