I would like you to know this person is true it happened to me too - However I would change it only to show how it fit my problem :
"I have had this company for over 6 years and I have never been able to use the internet site to see my account for that whole time and now I just moved to Florida and I still can't log in. I also was put on hold for 30 minutes by technical support and then I was switched to a salesperson. They didn't let me know I had their insurance for 4 weeks and I found out when they sent the OTC catalog. Go somewhere else."

I have had this company as my first to use for over 6 years and I have never been able to use the internet site to see my account for that whole time and now after researching other places. I liked what I saw in one of UHC's plans I tried to pick one of their plans after all they sent in the email it was easy to see what they wrote and well explained I needed to change to a different plan I thought it would be worth trying to see if its still impossible to use their computer however its still impossible the computer is the biggest liar like always.There customer help can prove it never will work - When they will speak to me - I get stuck in a loop. Tech service can do no better they are only available certain days of the week and certain hours of the day and dropped out on me trying to fix it.

They will hang up on me claiming there is too much static sometimes when calling customer service however I hear them well. The computer created an account because it called it success however It always wrote error trying to use it. Several times I started over thinking maybe I never really had an account. I tried to find my user name however HSID_SSO_xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxx50ea3 its useless as a user name useless - It wrote its my User name however my real user name is shorter. There text messages are not designed well anyone else can do better also they confuse code with password or password with code I assume therefore to leave me guessing. What a scam they know their plan yet leave me guessing.

They called me several times of the day, and weeks and months by name and want my birth date soliciting for prescriptions I have never needed to give them. What a waste of time not knowing if its a scammer I should be calling them not appear and expect to get my birth date before they talk to me.

Their text messages are almost worthless on Oct. 17 it wrote my account is locked the same day I tried to login to a account finally as a reason they rarely write something to know where it came from. Much later I found the text messages phone numbers matched. Then when I tried to reset my password they sent me one in November near a month later with no idea of who it was however when I tried to reset my password today it became clear what happened the computer is a liar It wrote success when I tried to use it. However wait a few hours and log in it asks for text reply numbers then after giving the text numbers it replies with we found your HSID_SSO_xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxx50ea3 then it asks for password the only one I have and used to get this far and reply is error. There text messages are not designed well anyone else can do better therefore I can guess they confuse code with password or password with code I assume therefore to leave me guessing. Therefore. Look at the facts about who they are - That some of there text message must be accepted with blind faith - Who did it come from? Could the problem be that they ask for password yet send code however was fine when asked for code earlier and send code yet now ask for password its what I stared with yet now call password code in a text message? However they want to reject the password and user name I alone created I have already proved its my email account and my phone. However I must continue to get another password for their computer to write success again that a stranger that can know more about me yet not really believe its me. Its a scam to think I can have a account the government sends them my money only to find a scam.

A health insurance deductible is the amount of money a policyholder pays for covered health care services before their insurance plan pays anything. For example, if you have a $1,000 deductible and a medical bill of $2,000, you would pay the first $1,000 and your insurance would cover the rest. Which is impossible to pay its the reason I have insurance. They get near $200 a month at 12 months $2400 a year sent by a split payment and near $334 sent to me as social security that is just an example it could be $5000 that would take me 3 years and have almost nothing to live on however in 10 years they have collected near $24,000 what a scam they are.

I have United healthcare advantage, I don't use it much since I have VA benefits and get my healthcare there, I'm glad I do since all the reviews I read are all bad, I did have a problem with United healthcare though, it was for my over the counter benefits I'm entitled to, my card had expired and I couldn't use it, United healthcare told me they would send out a new one and I never received it, I had to call numerous times to finally receive the card, it's like they don't care if you need them or not, I suppose it's because they are a big organization and get plenty of money, I'm just glad I can go to the VA for my healthcare needs instead of using United healthcare.

Do NOT put any money into a FSA/HSA that is managed by United Healthcare. They have repeatedly denied thousands of dollars in out of pocket reimbursements for clearly qualified medical expenses. I have sent them over ten different invoices with receipts for just a fraction of the medical bills I had to deal with over the past year. Over ten thousand dollars out of pocket related to an emergency medical situation, and they deny it claiming 1. NOT A QUALIFIED EXPENSE!?!? or 2. Not ENOUGH FUNDS LAST YEAR OR THIS YEAR AVAILABLE!?! I have over a thousand dollars MORE in MY account of MY money than what I am TRYING to GET BACK! Freaking thieves is what they are!

We are a small providers office and they CONSTANTLY REFUSE TO PAY CLAIMS. You get the approval, but they just will NEVER PAY. People please do your research BEFORE you purchase insurance from this FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

I have a Medigap policy with UHC for $103/mo. I'm a relatively healthy 70 yo female. My plan doesn't include a gym membership, like Silver Sneakers or Renew Active but for $44/mo Wellness package add-on I can get it. I requested the add-on but received a letter by their insurance adjuster stating that due to my having had a cortisone shot in my knee in the past 3 months, which per the letter, they put in the same category as a blood transfusion, the Wellness package would cost me $235/mo instead of $44/mo. So I did not get the add-on. UHC has no ability to see that the gym experience will improve my health and thus ultimately lower their cost for my Healthcare.

I tried to access one of my UHC benefits for Virtual Visits and you will not have access to this feature. UHC will farm you out to Teladoc and they will charge you a fee for service. Stay away from UHC especially their Medicare Advantage plan.

Useless card.
Wasn't able to pay for the dentist bill.
Can't use it at Walmart.com, keep getting error.
Tried Walgreens.com, it got accepted but you have to use your bank card too. The whole point is not to have use your bank card.

Seriously, experienced an employee with the best job ever. Member Service Coordinator. One rings member back after 48 hours, to tell the member to take care of it themselves. I mean, really, who can't do that. Lucky Nikitria ( sp? ). To apply, her supervisor is Astria ( sp? ). Sorry, I don't know last names. Now, question for United Healthcare, what do you pay these people? And more to the point, why offer this so called benefit? What does United Healthcare get out of it, is it a contractual obligation & UH offers in title only? Disclaimer, I haven't had any issues of note with UH, prior. And now I know I have to take care of whatever I need, myself.

The website is constantly down, making it nearly impossible to file a claim. My wife bought glasses out of network, and I’ve been trying to file a claim for over two weeks. The website won’t let me log in, and the claim form they sent is meant for an employer, which doesn’t apply to my situation. Customer service has been unhelpful—agents don’t assist over the phone and don’t respond to emails. This company feels like a scam. Eyemed was easier to deal with, and it’s frustrating that UHC switched to Spectera. It’s disheartening how this company, like so many other U.S. health insurance providers, seems to be taking advantage of American citizens. The whole system is pathetic.

Horrible company!!! SCAM!!!! Take your money, won’t cover office visits. Pay nothing on prescriptions. This should be illegal!!! 🤬

My wife & I are covered under the UHC Dental Plan via our Medicare coverage. Two months ago we submitted separate requests for reimbursement for routine periodic dental exams. It was like pulling teeth to get any status as to the disposition of our claims. One UHC rep. promised that we would have our reimbursement checks last week & that was a no-show. I am now told that UHC has no record of ever receiving any submitted claims. So I established that UHC also employs liars besides providing crappy service. I suppose it's time for a class-action lawsuit or UHC's loss of their license to sell insurance.

They suck. They put through a claim I never authorized. They won't do anything about it because it was paid fully. So because I don't have to pay anything, it's ok for others to commit fraud. Got it. And the rewards SUCK. I have earned 350 dollars that just disappear to nowhere because when I try to register to get my rewards, THEY SAY I DO NOT EXIST. The whole thing is a bogus scam.

The "customer advocate" was the sh*ttiest I've EVER spoken to. She came at me with the dumbest and rudest take on everything. What a complete POS.

I have worked in the dental industry for 20+ years with a variety of insurance companies. UHC is not capable of delivering quality service to their patients, specifically Medicare patients or providers. I have repeatedly received incorrect/illegal information from their representatives. I also believe UHC Medicare intends to do harm to the elderly population by making benefits inaccessible and unusable through the complicated process they have put in place for utilizing said benefits. They do not hold up their contract benefits. They prey on the elderly knowing that many struggle to have the resources necessary to navigate their complex system. UHC Medicare should have a lawsuit filed against them for elderly abuse. As a dental service provider who has worked extensively with them for decades, I can not in good faith recommend them to my patients.

Got them as Quest in Hawaii. Told to go to urgent care. No urgent care here that they cover.

Told to call my dr. She had vanished from their directory.

Went to choose a new dr. Called them. "We don't take united".

This isn't a business, it's a scam.

United- if you read this- its my legal name, Jessica Abelson, and the moment my plan flips to HMSA I'm writing a letter to the state about your LACK of covering anything, as well as fraudently listing non-included providers in your directories.

Regrettably, I must convey my continuing profound dissatisfaction with the level of service provided by GoldenRule/United HealthOne. It appears that there has been a deliberate oversight of pertinent information by their organization time and time again, resulting in a disruption of my coverage and an unjust increase in my monthly premium. This experience has been nothing short of distressing, and I have resolute in my commitment to pursuing the necessary escalations to safeguard my interests. Unfortunately, I don't think most people have the knowledge and tenacity to continue the letter writing and escalations to to and including the CEO level.

The policy you describe sounds more like a form of extortion than genuine insurance. The exorbitant monthly fees coupled with a super high deductible create a scenario where individuals are essentially paying a hefty sum for coverage that only kicks in during extreme circumstances such as cancer or major traumatic injuries. Overall, my experience highlights the urgent need for comprehensive reform within the American healthcare system to ensure that individuals receive fair and affordable coverage without being subjected to predatory practices by insurance companies such as what I have experienced with GoldenRule/United HealthOne.

I just enrolled in United Healthcare this year. I had an appointment with a specialist on January 3rd, which I had set up months before, so I called on January 2nd to ask if I should postpone my appointment until I had my primary doctor write a referral since my policy said this was required. The lady on the phone said to go ahead and she would waive the required referral. So I had my appointment and they denied it saying I didn't have a referral. I spent hours calling and each time they said they would fix it and pay. After 4 phone calls and about an hour each time, they ultimately said I would have to make an appeal, which would require me to fill out a lengthy form and a letter explaining everything. At this point, I paid the doctor bill because I just couldn't spend any more time with this. Terrible start to my new insurance. Will change insurance company at my first availability.

If I could rate ZERO STARS, I surely would. I have been on this AARP Medicare Plan for 31 days in January 2024. This company puts you through the “SIT AND SPIN CYCLE, which is a ploy, I’m fully convinced, to keep you from accessing your healthcare. You reach one person, answer every verification question, to be able to ask your question, just to be shuffled somewhere else. Then, same process, next call rep, rinse later and repeat! I spent at least two hours going from a total of 6 call reps.

This is nonsense! Why are we paying our premiums, and wasting our precious life each day, to access our healthcare, IN SPITE OF OUR HEALTHCARE!!

I recently read on the internet that “Unitedhealthcare is the Crown Jewel of Healthcare”. Who ever wrote that article must not be a member!

I sat and spun filing a prior authorization for a generic, highly effective, low cost drug that wasn’t on their formulary. The drug was about $100/30 day supply.Too much! I had my doctor submit a prior authorization, for a cost of $97/30 day supply. What? My last insurance was with Medicare, and I received the drug for zero cost, every month. Not this cheapskate insurance! My tier exception came back approved for October 2024, while it’s only January 2024. Then somehow, it was approved, while simultaneously being denied. It was approved for $97/30 day supply! Wow! What a great deal. Not! Then I received a letter that it was denied, due to being a non-formulary drug.

This company has tried to make me lose my mind, as their business practices are unethical, profited driven, and actually, keep you from actually using your healthcare.

Jump ship now if you can. Unitedhealthcare is a TRAIN WRECK. I have made at least 50 hours worth of phone calls this 31 WONDERFUL days to GET A WHOLE OF NOTHING!

UHC discriminates against disabilities. They do not help those who have limitations. They will not assist you when you call them. I have vision and memory deficits. They instead decide that it is best to have you do everything yourself. So I decided it was best to file a Civil Rights Discrimination Complaint.

I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT. ITS A VERY HIGH MEDICAL EMERGENCY AND THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS NOT ABLE TO ASSIST ME ON THE PHONE CALL.
