I wish I had read the many other reviews before I purchased from this company. I was under the impression there was some sort of presence in Australia for this business. Clearly from the delivery and the following interactions this is not the case. I had communication from the company about a significant delay to delivery which was fine. Then item arrives faulty and the reply was rote even though they had offers to remedy, These were as misleading as the website which uses Melbourne in the Company name. I purchase from other suppliers onshore and offshore but it is clear that this is how they operate. A number of dress suppliers I have purchased from do have actual shop fronts and silly me thought this was one. However Vanhallen choose to be deceptive and the quality of the product was dreadful. I purchased a pink button through dress and 3/4 down the length there is a faded strip of fabric as if the fabric roll had been exposed to sunlight. They clearly use second rate fabrics & suppliers. There was an offer to recompense with a $10 USD refund or I could spend $10 USD to buy another item same of similar. Really!
Shouldnt the offer be in AUD$ how ridiculous and how rude to "forget " that your clients are in Australia when you advertise Melbourne in the online name. And of course I cannot be bothered going through all the rigour of a return and then getting another item that will no doubt be 2nd rate as well. So they get their money and keep selling. How do we stop these sort of businesses operating? I wish I had done my usual research but I was keen on the dress asap due to surgery and the dress was easy to get into for that purpose.

This is a ghost store with very low quality items and an impossible return policy. Avoid at all costs, the ACCC has also issued a warning for these stores if you have purchased from here contact your bank for an imediate charge back and also report their ads to google.

Total scam they have a fancy website that makes you think they are legit and in Melbourne. They will send you Temu clothes that don’t match what you ordered and are really poor poor quality and unable to be worn and then they will ignore you when you asked for a refund or to return the goods. Daylight robbery.

This is a scam store buyer beware, pretend to be in Melbourne and send temu products that are thin and covered in loose threads, bad fitting and not as described on the website and when you try to get a refund or return they ghost you. The products dont even have a label, the material is paper thin and the stitching super poor quality, a mile away from the prices they charge and what they say on their website, the arms were so short I couldnt even put the item on as it was distorted,

The quality matches the price, which is fair. Not top-tier, but still okay for the cost

Scam site don’t buy. Clothes are worse than Temu.

The transaction and delivery were good ... but the quality of my clothes were not. The fabric was clearly very cheap. Also, I assumed this brand was based in Melbourne. Never assume - it clearly isn't!

If I could give negative scores I would.
1. Advertised as Melbourne
2. Address is Netherlands
3. Product quality is absolutely appalling and nothing like the AI photos they obviously use
4. Oh my god the return process is ridiculous- have to take products out of packaging and use a tape measure the take photos to show sizing, tell why your not happy then offered 3 options before finally agreeing to a “full refund” only to then be told to fill out a returns form and then the big catch - at least 50-60% of what you paid will be in return postage costs
The WORST COMPANY EVER I have dealt with.
This is an absolute SCAM and someone (Michael the owner) is sitting in his mansion making $$$$$ out of probably poor paid people and ripping off everyday hard working people who think they are buying a great product that is nothing like the advertising

As many others have said most of the items I ordered were low quality and not at all similar to the photos or descriptions.

The Facebook adverts and website are entirely and intentionally misleading to appear Australian when Chinese.

In trying to receive partial refund for the worst items, their sickly sweet yet lagging for time customer service achieved nothing as Auspost tracking can’t confirm delivery past arrival to customs. I hope the ACCC can do something to address this type of consumer exploitation.

The pricing is fair but designs are little odd .

I ordered shirts from Van Hallen “Melbourne,” but it’s not really Melbourne-based. The sizes were completely off — even the 4XL and 5XL were tiny — and the return process is a nightmare. Poor communication, confusing steps, and very misleading branding. Won’t order again.

BUYER BEWARE…..Clothes were of really poor quality for the price. To be honest, I wouldn’t even pay $50 for the blazer and jumper that I bought if I had seen it in person. I paid $180 and now risk loosing it completely. Returns process is very difficult almost not worthy as my returned products to China has still not arrived. On top of that , you would loose at least 50% of what you paid plus postage.

I have reported this company to the ACCC.
They won’t respond to requests for return and refund. The product I purchase is nothing like it was advertised.
Stay away from this fraudulent company.

Materials were paper thin, very small makes. Not in Australia at all.
Sent photos comparing against the quality it should be and they offered 30% refund so i sent back.
They've been sitting in customs for over a month in China. Seller won't contact customs their end even though I have given them the number to call advised by Australia post here. Theyre now ignoring emails from myself and paypal

Pants look nothing like their website and are cheap Temu quality

Absolutely terrible products! look nothing like the pictures, for the price you would expect much much better. Sizing was way off, material looks and feels very cheap.. definitely stay away from this seller. Scam

SAVE YOUR MONEY! First of all, they are not in Melbourne. I ordered my correct size jeans, the ones that arrived wouldn’t even get over my knees. Had to post them back to CHINA to get refund. My return package, of course, got lost in the mail & they refuse to refund. Wish I’d read these reviews first…

Do not fall for it!
Fake, scam website, any 5 star reviews are no doubt people employed by the site.
Garment is awful, nothing at all like the photo. Supposed to be an X Large, I am a 36 waist and literally could not get them past my knees. Cheap crap.
Despite the Melbourne in the name they have nothing to do with Melbourne or Australia, instead it's a Chinese based company.
I wish I had the reviews before ordering, please don't fall for the same scam

I purchased a shirt and the sizing was terrible. It could have been made for an alien. Body was huge and arms tiny. Then the fun started. It turns out Van Hallen Melbourne is based in China and has not connection to Melbourne. Despite the website promising full refunds they only offered a 10% refund and then wouldn’t provide the return address. I strongly recommend not buying from this company.
