Very friendly supportive and knowledgeable about the process

So far, so good. Really impressed by the level of care and support provided at the initial consultation. Various different options were explained to me, as well as the most suitable treatment being suggested for my needs. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Great expertise and patience , Navin Mathias is very informative and put my mind at ease , hes easy to talk to and explains all procedures in advance. No query or question I had was no problem for Navin to answer.

I had my viens treated today at the Edinburgh practise and could not have felt more at ease throughout the whole process. Navin and the team talked me through each stage and put my nerves at ease. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. I had been a bit anxious about the injections, but honestly they really don't hurt. I couldn't believe how fast it went. Can't wait to see the results!! Couldn't recommend VeinCentre more, wish I had done it years ago.

Amazing team of professionals throughout my treatment.

I had unsightly varicose veins on both legs for many years. I was unable to wear shorts and restricted to trousers which was not ideal. Although not uncomfortable, they hampered recovery of a healed ulcer on my ankle.which This had flared up over a number of years with a risk of an infection flaring up anytime without dealing with the underlying root of the problem.

From an initial consultation in Glasgow last September to being offered the procedure within a very short period of time over the last couple of months. Clear and easy understanding and the chance to ask questions at any point just a phone call away.

Whilst I’ve never been a fan of needles for the treatment , the staff put me at ease each time.

I had initial treatment on both legs and the compression for the week, then follow-up treatment a short time afterwards. Whilst it’s been a slow recovery, each days an improvement. Come the summer will have the confidence to dig the shorts out of the cupboard.

A special mention to Dr Navin Mathias and his team both at Glasgow & Edinburgh clinics, true professionals. I would not hesitate to recommend The Vein Centre for any treatment needed. My only regret is no getting the procedure done sooner

I have been putting this off for years, I was very nervous but Navin and his team were just brilliant!
He put me at ease completely and it was such a straight forward procedure, my only regret is not doing it sooner!
Anyone considering this, i 100% recommend Navin.

The end result was excellent. The process to get there was very professional, the procedure was fully outlined at the first consultation and continued to be explained during the initial operation and the follow up procedure 2 months later.

In and out in no time , staff friendly and welcoming .apart from little jab from injection totally pain free and felt 100% walking after procedure

I first visited the vein centre on 23rd August for a consultation with Navin Mathias who was my consultant, Navin was absolutely fantastic from the word go he explained absolutely everything to me in detail, what was involved, how the procedure would be done etc and then whilst scanning my legs he spoke me through every single step showing me where the issues were.

Not once did I feel pressurised to book to get this procedure done infact he told me to go away and think about it first.

I had my procedure done on 29th August again Navin went through everything with me and reassured me of any doubts I had, the nurse that works alongside Navin is an absolute angel making you feel so relaxed and at ease.

I had both legs done the whole procedure took 2 hours & was absolutely pain free I was up walking about as soon as the procedure was over.

My follow up was 8 weeks later & the difference in my legs was like night & day.

If you have Varicose Veins and are very self conscious like I was then I would highly recommend Navin Mathias and his team at the Vein Centre in Edinburgh the care & after care they provide is unreal.

Lovely kind people who put me at ease..lovely nurse..Natalie? kept me chatting to take my mind off things..but personally experienced no more than a few tiny nips!.Will have to wait to assess outcome but all good so far!

Excellent welcome, relaxed consolation , well planned and explained clearly next steps

I chose the VeinCentre Edinburgh because of their positive reviews and the expertise of a vascular surgeon.
Mr Ablett was pleasant, efficient, and listened.
He showed me, with an explanation what he was seeing during the doppler scan.
Most importantly for me, at the end of the consultation and scan he did not pressure me in any way to proceed with further treatment. I was presented with the diagnosis and permitted to arrive at my own decision. Overall, I was reassured that my symptoms were not venous insufficiency (which was my concern) and was superficial varicose veins which could be treated with microscleropathy.
I am currently mulling over my next step. If I decide to proceed it will certainly be with the Edinburgh VeinClinic and Mr Ablett.
I also have to mention Janet the receptionist who was pleasant and chatty. We had travelled a distance and she ensured my husband and I had a nice cup of tea/coffee with biscuits!

A fantastic and pain free experience.

I have had varicose veins in my leg for a number of years over the last two years they started to become sore so I decided to enquire about getting something done . I decided to go to the vein centre , Edinburgh as it was my nearest one and the reviews were good. From my initial phone call enquiry to my last procedure the staff at the call centre and the surgery were all very professional and friendly . On my first consultation Dr Ablette examined my legs and then explained the procedures that would be needed and gave me the costs involved. I decided to go ahead with the procedures I required two procedures first one was endogenous laser ablation (EVLA) with a follow up foam sclerotherapy procedure.
Dr Ablette and the nurse were great constantly checking I was ok and explaining what they were doing .There was some ouchey bits during the first procedure but not to bad . Walked out of clinic , recovery from first procedure went well and went back six weeks later for the follow up this was a quick easy procedure.
I am extremely happy with the results I have had the confidence to wear shorts in public again and have had no pain, in fact I’ve lived in shorts all summer yes the weather has been exceptional but I would of normally been wearing a long skirt which would have covered my various veins . Yes it was an expense I could have done without but I am so glad I went ahead and got them done.
