SCAM ALERT…don’t buy anything from this company! Never received order and customer service is bogus!!!

Do not buy from this company. Bought Velora hair curlers and turned out to be cheap knock-off version with no branding on it and can be found online at under a 3rd of its price. Customer service was a joke and obviously not caring. No contact number.

Do not buy from them. They portray to be a UK company but in fact it is a Chinese company who will send you a cheap Chinese product which if you are sensible you would not use as it is electric and cannot be trusted. I paid £79 for a product which arrived to be a cheap Chinese make hair curler. I did not even open the box, it is still sealed. Been going back and forth with them and not getting anywhere at all!!

Absolutely horrendous…. Definitely should’ve read trust pilot reviews before spending £70 on an automatic curler that didn’t work. Opened yesterday on Christmas Day, it didn’t manage to produce 1 curl. Daughter tried it again today won’t work at all, won’t even turn on. AVOID

I ordered hair straighteners and was advised 4 days delivery - they arrived 2 weeks later and came from China - not the UK like I was lead to believe. If I had known this at order stage, i would not have gone ahead with the purchase. This set is not fit for purpose - the straighteners feel like they are going to fall apart in my hand - they are advertised with 6 heat settings when there is only one. The comb thing only gets warm and the power lead keeps falling out. I am sure this Business is only run by 1 person. They now want me to video the faults and they will decide if I can have a refund - I have tried to explain back to them, if I were to buy an item of clothing which I later found fault with, I would not have to take a video of the garment before a refund can be processed. Please steer clear of this Company.

Not a uk based company or selling genuine kit, big prices for the same rubbish you can buy direct from TEMU. velora curlers are sheglam priced at £79 and unwilling to refund without costs to “re-stock” plus costs to return to china ect ect not willing to talk, trading standards not interested, Avoid if you don’t also want to be robbed.

Like others here, I have been cheated by Velora Uk.
Nowhere on their site does it mention that they are actually selling a Sheglam hair curler ( which is available at less than half the price on Amazon). Their return policy does not exist in reality. They insist the product must be returned to China at my expense. Of course the costs involved ( surprise, surprise) are almost equal to the purchase price. They refuse to give a UK return address even though they say they are a UK company. I will be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Total scam. READ REVIEWS FIRST. DO NOT BUY. Product is significantly below average and actual packaging does not reflect the branding of the website initially purchased from. More importantly, you have more chance of meeting the real Santa Clause than you have of being able to return your product for a refund. They will avoid every which way of giving you a postal address (because there won't be one) and try and fob you off with a 7% 'compensation' rising to 9% if you keep arguing. Laughable. Report via Citizens Advice, the only way they will be stopped is if enough people report. Do not waste your money.

Scammer Scum!! Lied about being uk based and sent me a cheap copy worth half the price. No email contact and doubt our gutless trading standards will act.

Sick of these gutter companies being alowed to operate here. Disgraceful.

It seems this is yet another product being sold by China, yet the website states UK! I’ve had the unfortunate experience of China products which can’t be returned despite their returns policy. Thank you trust pilot for showing reviews

Do not purchase! Abort abort abort! Cheap product, not effective and returns policy that goes completely against consumer rights. Returns info cited on their website fails to say you will be charged a) return charge to China b) a fee for ‘restocking the item’ aka putting back on a shelf (!) and c) customs fee. They make it so difficult that you just give up. Do not give up. This is against your consumer rights. Report to Trading Standards those who have had issues. And to those thinking of purchasing, don’t do it!! Stick to GHDs, Cloud 9 or a similar UK SELLER!

This company’s returns policy completely misrepresents the real situation. I believe it’s actually deceitful. Velora UK have no stores in the UK, only a business address which you can’t return goods to. If you read their returns policy it makes it sound so quick and easy and straightforward. But in fact their goods are shipped over from China, so receiving them isn’t quick. I wanted to return a hair styling kit which I hadn’t used (In the interim I’d found a better alternative). I was informed I had to pay all shipping costs to return the item to China together with customs duties and a restocking fee. Combined, these costs amounted to almost the same as I’d paid for the item in the first place, making it not worth my while to return it. The Velora UK sales director who I had emailed about this return admitted as much. Be warned, this is not a company on the side of the customer!

Really do not order from here. They are a Chinese company saying they’re based in the UK, selling a product that is available elsewhere for about £15 and selling it for a vastly inflated price and passing it off as their own. They then won’t let you cancel the order. Do your research before ordering and don’t make the mistake I did!

My wife purchased a Hair Curler from Veloratech and received a product made by SheGlam in a package that looked like it had been steam rollered. Complained and told to test if it was working but have refused as it may be electrically damaged.
Same problem as other reviewers - after about 10 email exchanges they finally sent me an address in China to send it to, after I refused a 12% discount. They have also refused to pay return shipping costs.
Absolute scam.

The 25mm wand has become my favorite. It's lightweight, heats evenly, and my curls last all day. I also appreciate the precise temperature control.

This set gives my hair a lovely, smooth finish and is a great value for the price. The curling iron just heats up a bit slowly, but overall I'm happy with it.

This set saves me so much money on salon trips. I can finally do my hair at home - the tools feel well-made and are quite simple to use.

Order never received, waited over a month and then informed there was an issue with customs so they would send another, at this point I asked for a refund as did not want to wait another month. They deducted 15% for cancellation despite the issue being their fault. This is not a UK company and while they do answer emails, it is not clear when ordering that this is going to take a very long time for delivery and you will not get a full refund.

SCAMMERS - bought straightener/curler/brush kit online. Uses a uk website but is a Chinese scammer. Product doesn't straighten and pulls hair. Also has a burning smell which is worrying. Tried to return but after them dragging they're feet eventually got an email saying "There is nothing wrong with our product. You need to return the product to China by yourself and bear the return shipping cost. I need to explain that it is a hassle to return the product. Returning the item from your location to China will cost a lot of money and time. After the successful return we will need to deduct the relevant customs duty, as well as deduct 15% of the return fee. In this case how about we give you a 5% refund of this order and you do not return the package?"
