Sohail was lovely. Took his time to go through motorbility with me. Much improved from the initial contact attempts when I left two messages but they weren’t sent on to the Leicester branch. After coming in, and subsequent appointments, I’m really happy with the Toyota service.

I recently had a great experience choosing a car at this dealership, Sohail was our advisor and from start to finish made our entire process smooth, fast and stress-free. He understood all our needs and gave guidance on every step. No pressure, great stuff. Definitely recommend this dealership compared to others. Great job Sohail!

They charged me £89 for a new PLASTIC BUTTON for the hazard lights.

Their justification for the absurd price? “BECAUSE THAT’S HOW MUCH IT COSTS.”

The button had an aesthetic crack, but worked, and the hazard lights on the car worked too. So, MOT-wise that’s a pass, but they lied to me that it’s “inoperable”(whatever that means to them), so that they can charge me the ridiculous sum for a replacement plastic button.

On top of that, after they fitted the replacement button, they called me back with more “necessary” work to be done because my hazard lights are still “not working”. My hazard lights were working just fine, so I refused the extra work, despite being LIED TO that it’s an MOT fail.

I go to pick up my car and, what do you know, my car passed the MOT, because they’re was nothing wrong with the hazard lights to begin with. Just trickery DESIGNED to get more £££ from gullible victims. But wait, there’s more…

On top of THAT, I had to dispute the invoice because it was “accidentally” inflated by £100 — oops, funny how that happens 🙄. They thought I wouldn’t notice, or say anything.

I’d just moved in town and didn’t know a good car service. So I went to Toyota thinking they surely offer good services, despite being more expensive. Instead, I found a den of thieves. I didn’t believe TOYOTA would stoop so low.

I will be using my old, trusted car service from now on, even if I have to drive 2h back and forth.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Sohail Ahmed at Vertu Motors Toyota Leicester. He is an absolute credit to your company. We came to browse a Mobility Car 3 months ago. He was very polite, respectful and professional. Nothing was too much for him, in explaining everything in detail, in order for us to choose the right vehicle that was suitable for myself.
He constantly kept us up to date from the very start even up to on the day of collection of the Vehicle.
Our experience was very personal, warm and very welcoming.
On the day of collection Sohail made sure that we understood everything. Then bought the vehicle round and went through the operating side of instructions for the vehicle.

Would give minus stars if I could! Terrible after sales. Well, non-existent. Once they have your money, they don’t show an ounce of care towards their customers. They ignore calls and emails. Managers are quite happy for staff to lie/fob off customers - and when they promise a refund (because they charged a diagnostics fee for an investigation that their own breakdown service had already diagnosed and then insisted their was no fault, when it actually transpired there was £600 worth of ‘fault’ with the car) they ignore/dodge all calls and emails. Useless useless staff and the culture in this place is toxic. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

Further to my initial review, I was contacted by Vertu Motors to follow up the complaint and asked to email them. I have emailed them three times now with no reply.
Would suggest buying a vehicle elsewhere.

I have lost face to Toyota absolutely shocking the first day you go to buy a car every think they says all lies and lies I have invested on this brand new car 2023 plate cost me over 30k under 6 month breakdown 2 times I contacted them waiting time Moore then 2 weeks took the car to them to fix it after aweeks broke down again contacted again spent 3 days on the phone contacted every one off them is saying they are not responsible i lost massive earning and shocking respond if you buy used car breakdown quickly you go to garage to fix it it is taking maximum 3 days to fix it with brand new car you have to be on the phone for couple hours after that waiting time minimum 2 weeks to 3 weeks untill you take the car to them to fix it is the hassle you buy new car all lies never ever trust them

I was given the best advice regarding the purchase of a used 4x4 vehicle

I was offered comprehensive financial advice and was reassured about all aspects of the vehicle purchase.

Just spoken to a gentleman called Owen on the phone and feel you having bought a brand-new Toyota Hilux with only 342 miles on the clock to be told that if the problem should not be under warranty then I will have to pay. How can it not possibly be under warranty?

Brought a new Toyota from this garage and it broke down in the first 2 weeks it got pick up from the side of the road 2 days later.
the after service is terrible the service manager has an awful attitude they do not provide a courtesy vehicle they have had my car for over 2 weeks with no updates and do do not return calls we are left not knowing what’s going on keep away from Virtual Toyota Leicester it’s a shambles

From ordering to collecting my new car, Lucy Hutchinson of vertu Toyota, Leicester was absolutely brilliant. From
responding to emails...to car collection she was professional and super helpful.
All staff members on the day of collection were friendly and offered tea coffee and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Appalling experience when purchasing a new vehicle, if you wish to spend hour after hour trying to get through to the dealership , send emails which are ignored , even Toyota and Vertu head office could not get through .
And by the way still owed 14250.00 £

How to not run a new car dealership
Owed 14250.00 yes, fourteen thousand ,250 pounds as part of a deal for a new vehicle.
Informed monies would be returned last week then this week. Still waiting!
Impossible to get hold of anyone at the dealership even head office cannot get thro.
Emails ignored, messages left thro head office ignored.
Absolutely avoid purchasing a new vehicle thro the Leicester dealership.
No follow up calls and no way of contacting them

Eventually got through to the dealership where the general manager sorted this out for me, fine it is now sorted, But not a great experience,would not use again

Promised someone would contact me about my comments in here over a month ago. Nobody has bothered to contact me. Makes me sick to see the smarmy CEO on their TV adverts claiming how wonderful they are. Not in my experience

I have been dealing Andrew Tomkins at Vertu Motors Leicester for a number of years now. I have recently bought a second hand Toyota Corolla. The service was impeccable. Friendly as always. Informative and seamless. The whole experience has made my purchase an absolute pleasure. Andrew is an asset to the company, more like a friend than a salesman. This is my 4th or fifth purchase from Andrew. His customer service is something to be very proud of. Vertu Motors are lucky to have him .
