Carla is excellent at finding the areas where I need I more supportive exercise; highlighting things that are progressing positively and encouraging my continued improvement and growth with her expert guidance and enthusiasm. She has the right blend of positive feedback and constructive yet encouraging practice of very useful lessons.

The lessons were really helpful in my learning experience. Prakhar was always clear and direct in his coaching and advice. He was always positive and patient, as I was quite at beginner level when I started. It was very insightful to be able to get feedback on my practice during the week between lessons, which kept me on track, knowing whether I was practicing correctly or not. I'm probably my worst critic, but I have to say that these classes have drastically improved my singing ability and listen ability for those around me subjected to my singing. Thank you AM Vocal Studios and Prakhar.

I have been working with Belu and she has been an excellent coach. She has not only helped me start to understand how to sign, but to sing more natural and with confidence. I look forward to continued understanding and growth in the future. If you are looking to use the God gift you have, stop waiting and get started with a coach that can help you!

My go to instructor is Carla when my schedule allows it. She has been very helpful and has given me a lot of tools to use not just for signing, but also for warming up before my stage performances as a game show host. Carla knows her stuff and has been a great help.

I have also worked with Belu a few times and she was also very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to all of the instructors for being knowledgeable, easy to understand and provide the tools that each of us students need.

I love this vocal coaching! My confidence is growing and the coaches are awesome! Belu Garcia Calabrese, Carla Newland, and Katarina have taught me a lot of techniques to help me with my finding my singing voice and to sing with confidence, learning how and when to breathe in the song. Adam Mishan is totally awesome he also teaches us how to do vocal exercises, which helps a lot. I would highly recommend this vocal academy. These coaches are the best!

I had a very positive experience with AM vocal academy.
Throughout my time with them, I received excellent coaching from several different coaches. Carla, Prakhar, Kateryna and Belu were all great.
I had most of my sessions with Belu and she was really able to diagnose where I was at in my singing journey, and helped me focus on where I really needed to improve.
Overall, after 3+ months I do feel like my breath support, ease (especially on higher notes) and overall technique improved. Only reason I did not re-subscribe was because I found a coach very local to me.
However, I do see myself possibly returning to AM in the future.
For context, i've been singing un-trained for over 15 years. I feel like my voice improved more than it did in the last decade

I’ve been taking semi-private lessons for about 4 months now and I am SO happy with this program! My pitch accuracy is ok but I definitely was NOT born with natural talent. I’d always joke to my husband “in my next life I’m gonna open my mouth to sing and you’ll be amazed” but figured this is the voice I was stuck with for this one. But after only 4 months I can see a little progress that definitely comes faster with frequent (like daily) practice.

I’ve had a few lessons with other instructors but Prakhar’s coaching resonated with me the most. He’s super patient with all of us, can hear things in my voice I’m just starting to understand and has really helpful feedback while staying encouraging. He also somehow has time to watch the videos we upload as students and sends prompt feedback on our progress. I felt I started progressing faster with Prakhar than I had been previously. He is awesome!

I always loved music and sang all the time, just maybe not around people, but I’m confident that if I keep this up maybe someday I won’t hate karaoke! Haha

I've been on the semi-private classes for 8 or so months now and the transformation in my singing has been everything I've hoped for and more. I've worked mainly with Belu, who is warm, attentive, and very supportive. I've also worked with Adam, Carla, Prakhar, and Kateryna, who all bring their own unique approach. From the perspective of a student who's been here long, I can say that every session I still take away something new and come out a better singer than I was the week before.

The combination of creative, personalized exercises, an emphasis on not overwhelming the student, and the very supportive coaches and welcoming class atmosphere all combine I think to deliver results especially to beginners. I recommend them to everyone I talk to who wants to learn to sing from zero because I know they have the right approach to help people who otherwise would never have bothered to sing or would have been too shy to take classes.

Great experience overall in learning the principles and mechanics involved with singing. As a beginner Carla my vocal coach provides excellent feedback and instruction in songs that I like to sing. For me this course provides a very fast ramp to get up to speed without getting bogged down in music theory and endless boring exercises. Principles and techniques are provided in real time in order to improve. Highly recommended.

The AM Vocal Studios experience has been extraordinary for me. I first want to call out and to thank my vocal coach, Prakhar Saxena, whose patience, imaginative instruction and thoughtful lessons have been really helpful and valuable to me. His understanding of the science behind good singing and use of voice is exemplary. I came to him with damaged vocal cords, issues with breath control, wobbliness and some raspiness that I just could not overcome on my own. Honestly, I did not expect anyone could really help me. But Prakhar’s carefully designed exercises have been so remarkably helpful that little by little I have had singing and speaking improvements much beyond my initial very humble hopes. Prakhar is a very intuitive teacher, not only talented with his own singing and songwriting, but in his understanding of how best to help students master use of voice. I cannot thank him enough for his excellent coaching. As a huge bonus, my speaking voice improved also and to such an extent that my friends, colleagues and family noticed a marked positive change. In addition to the wonderful teaching by Prakhar, I want to comment on just how well-thought out and designed the entire AM Vocal program is—and how welcoming and supportive this program is. Very much worth the investment.

For anyone interested the coach sessions are very interactive with a back & forth format but recommend you attend each session prepared to get the most out of it. It's great if have limited time in the day & prefer to have remote teachings. My instructor Prakhar schedule was pretty flexible & sessions felt very safe to practice. Even when i messed up he would give the extra push for me to maintain confidence especially with how he is able to pick up on subtle mistakes.

I purchased the 4 month personal coach program where I met with my Coach Belu once per week. Belu also reviewed my practice video logs every night!

Belu is amazing, and so is Adam. Belu taught me how to sing higher notes in my range without strain... something I did not even know I could ever do! She assigned me reasonable nightly practice routines that allowed me to further develop my voice and provided me with detailed feedback. She was very patient and worked through sticking points I had along my journey. I cannot overstate how professional and valuable Belu was in this program. I actually signed up for another 4 months!

AM Vocal provides effective lessons and exercises to make significant improvement to your singing. Their courses are very effective. I am being taught by Prakhar Saxena, who is fantastic. Prakhar is able to quickly identify my weakest areas and help me work on those specific areas as well as provides me with exercises to do on my own. It has been very effective and I am very, very happy with this training.

I joined the AM Vocal Studios program to improve my singing skills. I’m a professional bass player, but needed to enhance my vocal presence. I must say I am so pleased with the results I’ve enjoyed. I work with one of the coaches, Carla Newland, in weekly, semi-private lessons and my growth has been substantial. She is an excellent teacher who is knowledgeable, professional, and fun to work with. She really is wonderful. Through the AM Vocal Studios program I have improved my vocal abilities and my confidence in my singing voice, as well as learned tools that I can continue to use in my vocal journey.

An amazing vocal course. Loads of resources to help you improve and a great community. Prakhar is a wonderful teacher who really knows his stuff and how to bring the best out of your voice. I am a much better singer because of my time there.

Belu is my vocal coach. I am new to singing at 60. I come from a very musical family and I always feel like I cant sing along with them. I am learning and Belu has given me confidence to try. She is patient, encouraging, and fun. I have enjoyed her and look forward to the weekly lessons.

I worked with vocal coach Carla Newland for four lessons, and she was great. I originally just wanted to learn enough to feel more comfortable singing for my demo tracks, but I ended up gaining something even more important: direction and confidence.

Before working with Carla, I had never sung in front of another human being. I only sang alone in the shower or alone in the car, so even singing in front of her was a huge step for me. She was patient, encouraging, and made the process feel less intimidating.

Carla gave me a solid foundation, practical tools, and enough understanding that I no longer feel like I am practicing aimlessly. I still have a long way to go, but now I have a better idea of what to work on and how to keep learning.

For now, I’m taking time to keep practicing the tools and foundation Carla gave me, but I would absolutely work with her again when I’m ready for the next step. I’m really grateful for what I learned from her.

Today marks the beginning of my singing journey. Belu made me feel comfortable and gave me a lot of great ideas to get my journey started. She created relatable images for me to be able to produce the sounds & mouth shapes necessary to begin singing. I’m looking forward to learning more and having singing whenever and wherever I am! I can’t say enough good things about Belu.

I was a complete beginner at singing. No training and no encouragement from friends or family in my 66 years. My singing instructor, Belu Garcia Calabrese, is knowledgeable, skilled at teaching/coaching, patient, and enjoyable to learn with. She is encouraging and fun. An excellent instructor. I had a very positive experience and would choose her as an instructor again and recommend her to others.
