Virtualnonexecs has simply not worked for me. As a Dubai-based professional, I was promised that the organisation had a fast-growing footprint in the region, and that they wouldn't take my money if they weren't confident about matching me with relevant opportunities. But in more than 12 months there have been no relevant job ads and zero useful connections/approaches, despite efforts to fine tune my profile/searchability. Perhaps I could have been more proactive on the VNED and BoardAI websites, but - as a refund has been refused - I am now just chalking this off as a waste of my time and money.
It feels like a clear case of overpromising to get you in and underdelivering once your money is paid.

Our advert for a NED provided us with 18 applicants in less than 48 hours. The system is easy to navigate and had an impressive network.

Michele is a real professional and made publishing my article easy and pleasurable. She added real value with her knowledge and expertise.

I have been using Virtual Non Execs for two years and have been nothing but impressed with their approach, professionalism and connections.

I was invited to join Boardai by Ian Wright which led me to join Virtual Nonexecs and i had access to a lot of information, and access to members i had not met. Access was free. This allowed me to make quality connections with members of the platform, and though that I met several members i started to have strong relationships with. One of them I referred business to, and made an introduction, which develped into a deal gave me an ROI of £375 (i expect to get £1000 plus).
On Thursday of this week I was invited to join a spontaneous networking session on Zoom, and i was impressed by the interaction. I then took lifetime membership of Virtualnonexecs. (I am not looking for an NED post). Business development is good.

I didn't know I had half of the support products and access for over 12 months (my fault).

From the very beginning, the onboarding process has been top-notch. The preliminary call to schedule a formal interview, followed by the discussion itself (intended to assess mutual compatibility), was executed well. The focus was consistently on what would be best for me.

Recently retired and now wishing to explore the opportunities in becoming an NED, I was recommended Virtualnonexecs.com as my first introduction to understanding more about securing an NED position, after a nominal membership fee I was onboarded by Sarah who was delightful and navigated me around the platform, I uploaded my Cv and created a profile - all very simple, I've also attended a couple of Virtual speed networking events hosted by Michael which I enjoyed and made some useful connections. I have already applied for a couple of Ned positions advertised on the network. I would recommend joining and engaging with other members.

I have tried to cancel my membership for 2 years now. I have submitted cancellation requests via email and the website. No engagement and response. Virtual non execs however keep taking my membership fee out of my account against my wishes. Their repeated ignoring of my requests to cancel and refund and continued taking money out of my account is theft in my opinion. Stear well clear.

This is not a true or genuine company. I have had to refute their charges. They have somehow managed to game the system and have my original reviews from here removed. If this review is not published, I shall be writing to Trustpilot’s CEO and I am considering also sharing my genuine experience of this company publicly on Linked in, with screenshots, and tagging their CEO, if my review here is again taken down. I have worked with someone called Steve Benson at VNEX and quickly realized that this was not a true organization with ANY meaningful contacts or openings in the non-exec space. They promised to help support with Non Exec application opportunities and coaching which they are simply not qualified to do. Always be aware if any organization that charges up-front fees from a candidate during recruitment. This is a big red flag. You can’t attain a non-exec role by opting into an organization that charges for membership. It’s common practice for a non-genuine organization to ask for upfront fees and then ghost you or refuse be unable to actually supply the services they promise. Update: I see that VNEX have replied to my review here, trying to bully me with intended legal action. I also see that they have published misleading comments about my experience only telling "half the story" rather than my complaint emails which clearly show that what they promised was not delivered, their refusal to acknowledge it or provide a refund which is a fair part of due process and one that any professional organization would do if they had genuine customer service policies in place. It's actually illegal to not provide some sort of due process when you are selling products or services in the United Kingdom. In actual fact, no gap analyses was undertaken, no CV was ever provided, and no job opportunities were ever shared. The so-called networking events access is where your data is further provided to others trying to sell their services to you! I have had to regrettably take a further step and report this organization to American Express, who sympathize,
and have read every bit of my complaint, looked at the facts, and then escalated this to the fraud prevention team which has, in fact, fully upheld my claim. I will be happy to publish full screenshots of the actual complaint emails to this organization. You can also look at similar reviews here to mine here if you search by 1 star. I have since been working with a legitimate organisation and have achieved a non exec role there.

An interesting network for NEDs, with a different model to most (all?) which has the potential to become huge.

The on-boarding process, from the initial call to arrange a more formal interview, to the interview itself (designed to tease out "are we right for one another?") has been exemplary. The focus has always been on what would work for me.

They rewrote my CV as a) I've not needed one for almost 20 years, and so b) I've no idea what companies today are looking for when sifting through them. What came back was very different to what I was used to in the past (the feedback for my original was "it's growing moss"!), but those who have seen it have reacted favourably to it.

I'm expecting the rest of the process/my experience to be just as professional and successful.
