Sadly my experience was worse than bad. I had mail go missing - mail being held up for months - I had to cancel - I was paying for services I never got.

Very easy to set up 👍
We chose VUK following a recommendation from a fellow nonprofit in the UK. We'd tried one of its competitors before (mentioning no names) and were left much UN-impressed with its application procedures & customer DIS-service.
VUK's application policy is pain-free. The online form is user-friendly and the plans on offer covered what was needed.
The cost was reasonable - we opted to pay yearly. It was less than 50% of a Royal Mail (RM), PO Box - not to mention 100% less hassle. For some reason, RM has a major bee in its bonnet when it comes to registering a certain category of nonprofit. Snobbish, but there you have it.
This myopic approach to business will only lose it customers. Not our problem. We don't care. We got a great deal elsewhere 🤝

As you would expect from a professional organization, we operate within our Terms & Conditions of Service.
Our cancellation and refund policy is quite clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions (which you had to agree to when purchasing our services and which are published on our website), these state:
Our Refund Policy:
Sales to Businesses: Sales made B2B (our businesses selling to other businesses) are exempt from the Consumer Contracts (formerly Distance Selling) regulations and these services are non-refundable.
Refunds are not normally available for business services (see above), but we may refund at our sole discretion in exceptional cases; in this event a £25 (+vat) admin fee will be charged.
Any unused postage or scanning Deposits at the end of the contract may be refunded (less a £12.50 admin fee charged at our sole discretion); or may be transferred to a similar service if requested by a client and agreed to by us, at our sole discretion.
Sales to Individuals: If the Service you purchased has not been used, you can cancel your Service and get a refund at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day your service commences (your cooling-off period). If the Service has been used in any way during the cooling-off period it is non-refundable, as are any fees charged for mail forwarding or any other services provided, in which case we will keep what’s necessary to cover the cost of services (including our fees) provided up until you cancelled. Unused Postage Deposits can be refunded less a £12.50 admin fee.
Your address service will be available for the period of time purchased. We will not provide a Pro-rata refund (for the period that is unused) if you decide not to use our address for the full term covered. (For example: a Registered Office facility is a 12 month service; if you move your company away from our address during the 12 months covered no partial refund will be available).
For all account types: Once an account has been closed and refunded, a £25 (+vat) Admin Fee will be charged to re-open the account. New services will also need to be purchased to enable the account to operate.

Your account is not yet active as you have not supplied the proof of ID & Proof of Address that is required for us to be able to provide a service.
However, I can confirm that we have received NO mail in the account name since the account was set up on 6th October.
You will be informed when mail arrives.
The majority of our income is derived from forwarding mail, do you really think it is in our interest not to forward your mail - get real.

Sending duplicate invoices or from other companies and ask you to pay for them
They have sent us invoices belonging to another company claiming that was the email address they had. Even after we sent them proof that was not our invoice they have insisted for us to pay!! Outrageous customer service!

We have NO facility to take money from your card - we do not hold card details for any of our clients.
YOU need to pay us.
If there is an unexpected transaction on your card statement I suggest you check it with your card provider and tighten your card security.
Costly and takes forever for forwarding…
Costly and takes forever for forwarding mail, for example
1) I paid last Friday for forwarding
2) the payment wasn’t acknowledged until the saturday
3) it’s Thursday almost a week later and it’s still not been received yet

We notified you at 11.53 on 1st September that we had received 3 letters for you. We received payment at 11.55 the same morning with forwarding instructions. You asked us to scan the bank Statement and return others.
The Mail was scanned and sent by mail scan & email (the service you requested) at 15.17.
I think even the most critical would find it difficult to describe this as 'Slow'!

No explanation of a change from Ghost Mail to Virtual UK Office Services
I have had no information about the change from Ghost Mail Services to Virtual UK Office Services. Nothing to say that the company had changed. Then I had an email to say I had a statement from a bank I didn't use. I was told that it would cost me to open it or destroy it. I said it was not mine. Eventually, I paid £20 to have credit for them to open the letter only to be then told that they had made a mistake and in fact, it was not for me but another company. However, the £20 was not returned and was just held on account. Poor service since the company changed.
