Vital Seeds Reviews

I ordered aubergine seeds , Black Beauty, and for some unfathomable reason none germinated. I've been growing aubergines for years and was using a propagator set at 25°c. Maybe they were not moist enough.
Anyway, I emailed Vital Seeds and a replacement packet was there the next day.
Impressive!

Very nice company to deal with .. packaging was lovely .. efficient… will definitely be using again

This month I sowed a packet of Vital Seeds broad beans and got 100% germination! No hesitation in recommending Vital Seeds.

Great quality seed, produced and sent to me with care. The vital seeds team produce healthy seeds with good germination rates. They are always generous with their knowledge when it comes to growing techniques and varieties that are appropriate for where I live. If we want a future where more people have access to fresh food and the ability to grow it we need more small seed companies like them. Highly recommend.

I love this company. We buy seeds to grow in our urban Croft in Scotland.
Lots of information on how to grow the seeds.
Great for seed saving.
Lots of interesting varieties.

Super range and quality of seeds. Wonderful service. A hinden gem of source of superb seed.

Great ethical business. Fabulous seeds that perform well. Continue to buy from vital seeds year on year

Have been using and buying Vital Seeds since 2018 when I read about them in a newspaper article by Alys Fowler ‘Prepare for Brexit with home-grown seeds’. Since then the company has moved from strength to strength expanding their organic seed stock.

Their organic seeds are reasonably priced and of good consistent quality. Their packaging is paper and cardboard easy to dispose of in home composting. Vital Seeds postage and packaging is well priced and amazingly speedy. Customer service is great. Website is good and I look forward to the regular email newsletters from Fred, Ronja and team that are full of information, sowing details and local detail.

A really positive endorsement of a great ethical, little company. 5+S T A R S to Vital Seeds.

Quality product, perfect service, completely recyclable packaging and knowledge it is non F1 seeds. Perfect perfect perfect shopping experience.

I love everything about this company and second everything that Erica has said! Good quality, good price, no plastic, helpful tips, excellent customer service. I've been buying for a few years now and will continue to do so! Thanks, Vital Seeds!

Excellent variety, good quality seeds. I couldn't recommend Vital Seeds enough.

Excellent and informative - and accurate - website. Purchasing seeds went like clockwork. Seeds were very fertile. Great to support a company growing its own seeds.

This small and passionate company is full of joy, integrity and a zeal that is inspirational.. appreciate them holding the highest integrity..

These guys are just lovely to do with. Their ordering system is very efficient...I like their green ethos..the packaging is great...the design of calendars is a delight. There is nothing I do not like about these people ..the when to plant updates and other growing info.is very useful for me being a relative newcomer to the world of growing your own. Watching the seeds germinate is endlessly wondrous and there really is nothing like the taste and satisfaction of growing your own.

Great communication, quick delivery and seeds packed very nicely.

Great company all round! Their seeds are great quality with very good germination rate, I love the fact that I'm buying from a local company so I know the seeds will do well because they will be used to a very similar climate to where we live, their email newsletters are very informative too with lots of tips of what to sow when as well as many other gardening information.

They are the best seed company in the UK in my opinion! Love Vital Seeds.

Fabulous UK seeds. Some of the best around. I never have a problem with the germination. Their seed saving resources are very good and they have inspired me to try lots of different varieties this year! They even kindly sent some seeds for Nottingham Organic Gardeners for our seed swap, and we cannot be more grateful! 🌱🌱🌱💚💚🌱🌱🌱

I’ve been ordering seeds from vital seeds for a few years now variety is fantastic. The seeds themselves are noticeably more reliable than seeds. I’ve got from other bigger seed companies. The emails are informative and not pushy. I love the descriptions on the website and the different tomato varieties are unusual and delicious!
