All the reviews you have read about vocal views being so great are all lies and all fabrication … the reviews are written by themselves or they tell the “respondents” to write good reviews about them….. that’s why a certain staff member who use to work for them left and they said the company is mis managed and incompetent. Do not do any market research for them ….they don’t pay you on time … they pay you if they pay you .. months later …… and they keep the incentive as long as they can so interest builds up in their bank account, so getting paid twice basically…… sometimes three times ….rip off merchants ….and they don’t call you caring about if you got the details because you can’t even get through to them when you call ….. and when you do get through it’s an answering machine with an American accent ????????…..don’t join them and don’t do any jobs for them … they won’t pay you !!!!….. join any other market research besides these people

I am giving my feedback for a mystery shopper study I did on 19th September 2025. To this date, I have still not received the incentive due to me after numerous emails sent to Vocal Views. By posting this feedback, I am hoping Vocal Views will finally respond and process the incentive. Otherwise, I will pursue this matter further via alternative means.

My experience with Vocal Views was excellent. I was delighted to be engaged by the company and made to feel extremely valued. Their customer support was exceptional and their communication was proactive and professional. The team here are really helpful and made everything run very smoothly.

Honestly, I’ve never had a bad experience with Vocal Views. I know a lot of people feel discouraged when it comes to companies dealing with focus groups and survey platforms, but they genuinely do what they say they do.

They’ve also updated the website recently and it’s 10x easier to navigate now. Smooth, simple and straight to the point.

As someone who has participated in market research for over 20 years, I have never encountered a firm as unprofessional as Vocal Views. I have been chasing outstanding incentives for the Samsung and Apple shop mystery visits, only to be met with shifting goalposts and administrative incompetence. In any other industry, I would be out of business if I behaved this way.

Documented Non-Payment and Manufactured Obstacles:

It is my view that Vocal Views has failed internally on this project. This specific study appears to be a major target for non-payment, which suggests either significant under-quoting to the client or a failure to manage project costs. They are now seemingly manufacturing "audit" excuses to avoid paying participants for work already submitted and accepted. In a move that is frankly laughable, they even offered to "make it up to me" with future work—as if a professional would ever risk working for them again after their failure to honor existing financial commitments.

Alerting the End Clients: Kantar, Apple, and Samsung

Vocal Views acts as a sub-processor for global firms, and I am now formally alerting Kantar (the Data Controller). Under UK GDPR, Kantar is responsible for ensuring their processors act fairly. Withholding earned incentives while retaining participant data is a serious ethical and compliance matter. I am also making Apple and Samsung directly aware of how their brand-led research is being handled. Vocal Views explicitly gave permission for some participants to take part twice in this project, only to later use that exact participation as an excuse to withhold payment. This is a transparent attempt to avoid fulfilling contractual obligations.

Action for Affected Participants: Do Not Be Ignored

I strongly advise every unpaid participant to take the following steps immediately to protect your rights:

Leave a Review Everywhere: Do not let this remain hidden. Post your experience on both Google Reviews and Trustpilot to warn others and increase the pressure for a resolution.

Submit a Subject Access Request (SAR): Search Google for "GDPR Subject Access Request template" and demand all your personal data, including internal emails regarding your payment. This forces transparency.

County Court Claim via AI: Filing a claim via the UK’s Money Claim Online (MCO) is now super easy to do with the help of AI. Use AI tools to help draft your "Particulars of Claim" to ensure your legal language is precise.

MRS Escalation: Lodge a formal complaint with the Market Research Society (MRS) regarding their Code of Conduct.

Claim Late Payment Fees: As an independent contractor, you are entitled to Statutory Interest (8% above base rate) and a fixed compensation fee of £40 per instance under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Vocal Views: Stop offering "goodwill gestures" that are a fraction of what is owed. Your "audit" excuses are invalid. Pay your contractors in full, plus the statutory interest and late fees you have incurred.

I've used the Vocal Views platform for the past few years, they offer a great range of research studies which are fun and enjoyable. The communication from the company is fantastic in the lead up to the research and there is always some one on hand to help if you do run into a technical difficulty. I recently completed a study that ran over time, without prompting I received an update from Vocal Views within 24 hours of the study advising the incentive amount was going to be uplifted due to the extra time I stayed engaged with the study. Everyone is really friendly and helpful that I have come across at Vocal Views and I look forward to working on more projects with them in the future.
