How to lose money with VoyaFX - that is, don't fall for it

Treat my experience with VoyaFX as a warning against common scammers. The beginnings of cooperation (for 1 month) were great, returns on investment exceeding 100%, as it turned out later, it was a kind of bait. After a month, I received a proposal for an additional payment and VoyaFX will add the same amount. From then on, the account only lost until all funds were lost. Just before closing the account, i.e. a complete loss of capital, contact with the supervisor broke off, I asked for advice on what to do when the so-called. margin level dropped to -85%. I "finished" the advisor only when I lost everything and heard that he was sorry and that's it. Again, I warn you, don't fall for the initial gains, it's just a bait.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with us and we decided look deeper into your case to see why you were left with such a negative impression.

Going over the activity on your account and your communication with our employee, we can confirm that nothing abnormal occurred on your account. It is true that some of the positions opened developed into negative results which consequently caused a stop-out.

Every client of ours is informed that trading on the market comes with a degree of risk and that it is up to the account holder to manage that risk appropriately. Our employee has stressed on the importance of this more than once which takes us to our next point:

Contact with our representative never broke off. You spoke on many occasions during your activity on our platform. Our employee provided you with useful information and analysis throughout that time, including when your account was at risk and the measures that could be taken at the time.

There was certainly no “bait” involved, to reiterate what we wrote earlier, every customer of ours is aware of the possibility of losing due to trading on the financial markets. We have disclaimers on the top and bottom of our webpage and this notion has been explained to you by our employee as well. Risk can be managed, but it cannot be eliminated and that is something every aspiring trader should be ready for and comfortable with.

To summarize, your account and all activity on it, along with the results are legitimate. While the outcome is certainly unfortunate, we do hope you understand that we have not engaged in any sort of foul play and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Bad idea

Lost a lot of money by following their buy/sell recommendations.

I asked a few times:
- why not set up stop losses to minimize risk
- take out the initial investment
In both cases, I was advised not to do so. Of course, I had the final decision but I trusted their “experience”.

When we hit -10% margin I was assured that everything is ok and that let’s wait to see how the situation develops. Until the day before the last margin call advisor was still sure about the open positions but he suggested putting more money in the account.

I didn’t follow his advice, but I still wanted to get out of the initial investment, which was another mistake.
By checking the charts now, I would lose even more money if I would do so.

They don’t care about you as an investor, from their advice I’ve learned only that you have to do due diligence and you should never trust anyone with your hard-earned money.

They don’t care about me or you, but only about the profits they can make out of you. For putting extra money into the account, of course, they would call you.

Every advice was given by phone call, so unfortunately there is no track of their "advices".

I regret I didn't check the negative reviews here first.

Trustpilot, please don't delete me reviews. Fix your "AI" or verify the documentation I've already sent you.

I've informed Mr Hoffman many times that I don't have more money to lose here. You suggestion was to add more money to account, which, according to graphs I would lose. Of course account wouldn't be closed if I would add let's say 10-20k, but, like I informed your employee, I couldn't afford that.

Yes, I didn't picked up two calls, but I've wrote you an email that I went for delegation to another country and I had no roaming. I've also informed you that my roaming was topped up.

I've followed your suggestions, for which your employee was sure that these will work.

Why you mention only positions which bounced? There were many more positions which went opposite. Maybe you can also reconsider risk management here.

Dear Mr. Janik,

We thank you for your feedback and we decided to look deeper into this case and share our findings with you.

It’s important to begin with the most important point, that being that the account belongs to you exclusively and you have the final say in any matter regarding it. Our employees cannot and would not make decisions for you.

With that out of the way, we would like to address a major discrepancy in your comment. At -10% margin, Mr. Hoffmann’s initial analysis wasn’t that your positions were fine. Quite the opposite, as once your margin level goes below zero and into the negatives, the account enters a margin call. This means you received an e-mail, letting you know that the account is at risk, after which our employee also got in touch and informed you of the same. During the very first call after you entered the margin call, Mr. Hoffmann discussed the situation with you and informed you of the possible options for the account, one of those being increasing the liquidity on the account, which you decided you didn’t want to do, despite it being the most likely to succeed.
To clear up the details a little bit, let’s take a look at the timeline:
On January 10th, your account entered a margin call and you received an e-mail, letting you know the account is at risk. Over the following few days you received several calls from Mr. Hoffmann to discuss the situation, two of which you did not answer.
On January 17th you spoke with our employee again, receiving the same options again and once more, you decided to leave the account’s future up to the market.
Some of the positions responsible for the result on the account were your sell positions on EUR/USD, Gold and Crude Oil. Had you decided to increase the liquidity on the account, as you had been informed several times of that option, your account would not only still be active, but would be at a profit, as all three positions would have turned a profit later on.
To wrap things up, we would like to say sorry about your negative experience, but would kindly ask you to reconsider the source of that experience, as it was your willful negligence that ultimately caused a stop-out on your account.

Thank you for your reply. We would like to address the additional points you’ve made here.
Firstly, your claim that you would need 10-20k in order to save your account is exaggerated quite a bit. As you’ve worked with us, you’re well aware that we’ve always been ready to assist our customers if they decide to increase their liquidity by providing them with our own as an addition to their balance. We take on some of the risk ourselves and take some weight off our customers’ shoulders. We have done this for you as well.
In regards to your delegation and lack of roaming, there’s not much we need to say, as your availability is your own responsibility.
When it comes to our suggestions and us not mentioning other positions, we will gladly elaborate further. At the time of the stop-out of your account, you had eight open positions.
Two positions on Gold
One position on Gas
Two positions on Silver/EUR
One position on EUR/USD
One position on Oil
One position on the UK100
Out of these eight positions, six of them would have developed into a profit for your account, had you decided to take action. Previously we only mentioned a few to show an example. Listing them all makes our point that much stronger – that our employee was doing his job and that your positions would have developed nicely had you increased your liquidity.
Of course, we don’t blame you for deciding to leave your account in the hands of the market, we simply don’t believe the accusations thrown at us are particularly justified. Everyone has a different tolerance for risk and while yours may not have matched the positions on your account, it is irrefutable that our employee’s analysis was spot-on.

AVOID!! SCAM!!

Avoid this page and especially the "professional advice" given by the "professional" account managers as it is a pure gambling. Notwithstanding that this is a regulated entity and what they do is legal because they are just "helping you" making decisions and at the end of the day you are opening / closing the positions, you'll end up losing everything in the long run.

They are very sophisticated since they suggest to always open 6-8 positions at the same time, of which some - based on the rule of large numbers - can be positive in the short term and tempting, you believe that they are really good at what they are doing. If things go wrong, they suggest to always look at the balance, not the result (which is usually a constant negative number). If the positions go wrong, their advice is to be patient, because "some positions take time to develop". They also know the psychology behind this very well, that you do not want to lose the money / energy / time you have invested, so when things go wrong (because you have opened too large positions in accordance with their suggestions, despite your gut feelings - you have no other choice just to put extra amounts onto your account. Then they offer you a helping hand in the form of a bonus, which means that if you accept it, you cannot withdraw any penny from the profit until a certain number is reached by your balance. This means that at the end of the day, you are struggling just to get back the original amount of the funds you have transferred to your trading account.

My account manager was Mr. Erik Hoffman. After a while, I tried to request for another account manager, because I wanted to work with someone who can help more in risk-management, profit taking settings, etc. but they were not able to change. I have asked many times my account manager to set stop losses, and discuss their expectations in a more detailed way to understand what is going on the market, but the advice was always that stop loss setting is totally unnecessary because the market is very volatile and to trust them as they are real professionals.

It is also important to note that to make some profit, you need to constantly check the charts as they are not helping when to close the positions, and if you it by yourself and the trend continues they just say that you should have waited as you missed an XYZ EUR profit... Do not forget that they are making profit of your positions, so they are not really interested to keep you in the game. The larger the positions, the larger their commission is, so you are really just a number, nothing else.

All in all, this is a very very sophisticated (and unfortunately legal) scam and a very well designed system.

I bet that their response to this comment will be the same as for everyone else, i.e. that there were not unauthorised transactions re. the account..

To begin, the approach of our professionals does not resemble gambling in any way. Each piece of information we provide our clients is backed up by fundamental and technical analysis. This analysis is elaborated upon by the experts.
In regards to your claim of opening 6-8 positions, this is individual, depending on the client’s ability, availability and liquidity. After reviewing the interactions you’ve had with Mr. Hoffmann, we were able to confirm that our employee provided clear information about limiting the size of trades, to avoid unnecessary risk on the account.
We can certainly say that our employees are in no ways experts on psychology and do not apply any malicious psychological tactics, as your comment suggests. You also mention “gut feeling” in opposition of our trading information. While we can respect the idea of intuitive trading, we do not believe in the long-term success of the approach. As previously mentioned, all of our trading know-how is based on financial news, facts and analysis, not feelings and intuition.
It is true that our trading experts could discuss topping up your account when it is at risk. We do this, as it is in ours and our customers’ interest for the account to stay afloat, instead of stopping-out and losing everything. Providing a bonus is our way of taking some of the weight off our clients’ shoulders. While it is true that there are conditions for withdrawals when applying a bonus, those very conditions are clearly stated in the middle of the page for every bonus document a customer signs. It is impossible to miss these conditions, unless you simply choose not to read them.
Moving on to your comment aimed at Mr. Hoffmann’s approach. We understand that it is impossible for every client to agree with our experts’ trading style and when someone wants to work with a different professional, we try to accommodate. Unfortunately, this is rarely possible, due to the high-intensity workflow. As for your comment about stop-loss, we would like to kindly remind you that your account is yours and yours only. Mr. Hoffmann may provide info you don’t agree with, but he does not have the power to make decisions for you. Shifting responsibility on to him, when you have the full ability to enable stop-loss yourself, seems rather unrealistic.
This point crosses over into your next paragraph, where you appear to blame us for not “helping to close positions”. Since you have not elaborated on what this means, we have resorted to making two possible interpretations: 1. That the trading expert does not close your positions manually, and 2. That the trading expert doesn’t tell you at what level of profit/loss to close the position.
If it is number one, we can refer back to our previous point that the account is yours and that the trading expert has no authority to make decisions in your place. If it is number two, we can say, with certainty, that what you say is inaccurate. Whenever a trade is at a good level to close and the expert is speaking with you, they will let you know, just as Mr. Hoffmann has done on many, many occasions with you. Of course, if you’re not on the phone with the professional, he may not be able to provide info, as he may be speaking with another client, attending a meeting etc.
We are, in fact, interested in our clients working with us for as long as possible, as it is more profitable for us to have many active and profitable users, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to stick around.
To summarize, we are sorry about the impressions you have developed as a result of working with us, but they do not reflect reality. We are, and always have been, a legitimate company, dedicated to providing quality support to our clients and helping them learn and develop in the financial world.

Honestly speaking the platform is quite…

Honestly speaking the platform is quite user friendly, no issues at all over there, I've managed to get use to it quite fast.
Most important thing as well which speaks to me for full transparency is the process of withdraws.
Fast process, with no delays or tricky ways of avoiding what ever request, which speaks to me for good service and most importantly trustworthy partnership in the future.
Sure, making such points I can recommend trading on their platform and using their service.

Never again!

Don’t trust them too much when they say that the way to make money is by taking risks of opening trades even though margin level is below 100% . You’ll end up losing everything like I did.

I am really very impressed with the…

I am really very impressed with the voyafx.com platform which is unlike any other I have ever traded on. Great look, colors and icons.
I'm an experienced trader but I found out that they offer help as a financial advisor to new traders which is helpful if you don't have experience.
Finally, I want to share my excellent impressions of the support - excellent (it's really at a very high level).

These are just salesmen

These are just salesmen , they have little or no interest in you making money , my advisor kept pushing me to invest more and more money , in the 1st few weeks i made around 70 eur thats as good as it got the next 2 months the account was in the red, this is all from a trading managers direction, salesmen thats all they are dont be fooled
