Lister Gardens 2: quick and easy sale for our first home - the sales team are fab, very helpful and informative.

Ciara, has been very helpful. She responded swiftly and is going to organise a plumber to come and see/solve the issue.

We moved into our Wain Homes property in May 2025 and were very happy with the build quality, the materials used, and the on-site service. The on-site sales representative, Bev, is excellent. Rich, the site manager, and his deputy, Craig, have been nothing short of incredible and consistently helpful.

This should have been a five-star review because we genuinely love our home and the on-site team. However, the Severn Valley customer care service has been the worst I have ever experienced. We raised concerns and issues with Customer Care (Severn Valley) in September 2025 and, despite follow-up emails and phone calls, we received no response until I sent a reminder in November, which I got a response to but of any action being taken — and it is now December, still do not know if the issue is being looked into. Calls are repeatedly redirected to voicemail with no follow-up.

We completed on our home (Higher Trewhiddle development) in September and, while we absolutely love the layout and spacious design, we have experienced a number of issues since moving in. That said, Pete Rogers (who I believe is the site manager) has been outstanding. He has gone above and beyond to help us, ensuring problems were addressed and resolved where possible.

Michelle Salter in the sales office also deserves special recognition. She was incredibly supportive throughout the buying process, always approachable and willing to help, with nothing ever feeling like too much trouble.

When we first received the keys, the property had not been cleaned, some elements were unfinished and a paid for upgrade was missing. However, both Pete and Michelle have worked hard and continue to work hard to put things right and their attitude has more than compensated for the initial difficulties.

Whilst we are still waiting for some elements to be fixed/finished, Pete and the team continue to be really helpful.

Living on a construction site hasn’t always been easy, but the site team and contractors have been polite and considerate at all times. Despite the challenges, we’re excited to settle in and look forward to many happy years in our first home.

Purchased a house at the hedgerows development in Blackburn. Overall, happy with the property but customer care is absolutely shocking!

3 months ago, they turned on a street lamp right outside the master bedroom, <1m away from the house. Firstly, I don't even know if a street lamp is allowed to be that close to us. I immediately raised it with them to at the very least put a reflection shield. We have a 10 month old baby who sleep in our room and all we see is light throughout the night even with blackout curtains

I've rang customer care multiple times and emailed over the last 2.5 months with no indication of them even paying attention to it.

Just purchased a house at The Lawns in Broughton, Preston. Purchase was smooth with no issues (although the “chain check” process needs a good looking at from the powers that be). Nevertheless, Lorraine was a pleasure to deal with.

The site manager, Paul Clarke, has been fantastic. Very helpful, understanding and always available. Sometimes it’s the little things that count and Paul has gone above and beyond. Bravo Paul!

From the moment we went into the sales office at Kingsley Manor Thornton it has been an amazing experience for us. Special thanks to Ashley who kept us up to speed throughout our journey. We recently completed a part exchange with Wainhomes, and the entire experience has been fantastic from start to finish. The sales team, Lisa and Kerrie, were absolutely brilliant—helpful, friendly, supportive, and always informative throughout the process. They made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward.
A huge thank you to the site managers, Raf and Will, who have been incredible. They kept us updated on the progress of our new home, arranged contractors promptly, and ensured all snagging issues were addressed quickly. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out.
Special shout-out to Colin from customer care—he’s been amazing! Every time he visits, he’s respectful of our home and takes care of any issues we’ve found without fuss. His approach makes the aftercare process stress-free.
Overall, Wainhomes has delivered excellent service, and we couldn’t be happier with our new home. Highly recommend them to anyone considering a move!

Once you have bought the house, they are not interested in you, we have had numerous problems, which they always say not our problem etc etc they sub contract all aspects of the build but will not take responsibilty for build quality

My partner and I’s experience viewing houses with Thea was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire process feel relaxed and enjoyable. Thea listened to us when we were explaining what we were looking for, answered every question with patience and had a genuine, caring nature when it came to us finding the right home. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through the viewings. Highly recommend her and Wain homes.

I recently purchased a property with Wain Homes and couldn’t be more happier. Colin has been very supportive throughout the entire process, with snagging etc. However, before agreeing to buy, make sure to the read the specifications properly and thoroughly!!!

So we bought 8 years ago no problem now trying to sell to find out they haven’t signed of our road so nobody owns it and we can’t sell so lost our forever home and have lots of costs and months of paperwork and wainhomes are not helping our street at all just well we not got the paperwork if I could swear I would we have been advised to sue

The home builder flooded my entire downstairs very badly. The flooring which was an incentive has gone down very badly but the issues may be deeper than that. I initially sought some compensation through CEDR and the Consumer Code, but despite very strong Independent Evidence, my case was thrown out. I then pursued the Small Claims Court, to not much success. I tried to do it alone, by myself, because otherwise the claim amount was not really worth all the hassle. But I do believe governments and home builders are more closely aligned than perhaps I realised. I didn't feel the justice system did me justice based on my evidence. It didn't end there for me. My house is making a lot of noise and my floor is so un-level that my concerns go to the foundations. I am transparent and honest, and I endured a lot of unpleasant treatment from the home builder over the last 2 years. It was not a happy experience. I live alone, and I honestly feel I may have been better off without this house, and just without all this awful stress. The home builder is not interested in if there are large problems. They don't care, that's my experience. They don't solutions that make you happy as well, just what cheapest for them. I found warranty was used to bargain with people, and I am aware of positive reviews on trustpilot being given to the home builder in exchange for works being granted on their home. How legit that is, as a positive review, I will leave you to work out.

No pressure from the sales advisor, afforded time to look around, discuss any concerns or options for the property. Easy to contact and talk to about matters or questions regarding the purchase. Made a sometimes difficult experience a reassuring one. Thank you Niamh Moyle.
