Wow! I cannot explain how good this company has been for my hair transplant. From the booking process all the way to 6 months post op, the team have constantly been re assuring and have helped every second of the way. I have been so happy with my results already and still have another 6 months of growth. I am truly shocked at how well it has worked. It has transformed me completely. Thanks to the whole WantHair team, you have been amazing!!!!!!!!

I underwent a 3,488-graft FUE hair transplant arranged by Want Hair on 8 July 2025, costing £3,194.

Before booking, I was very clear that my main concern was my crown. On 9 June 2025 I sent photographs and wrote: “I only need the crown done, brow done two years ago.”

I also specifically asked whether the surgeon would actually perform the surgery rather than it being handed over to other staff. I was told in writing: “Dr. Sumeyye is the surgeon, so will do the surgical aspects of the transplant, anesthesia, incisions etc.” That reassurance was important to my decision to proceed.

On the day, a treatment design was produced and 3,488 grafts were recorded. During the procedure I was told that they could not fit any more grafts into my crown and that the remaining grafts would therefore be placed further forward to create density.

Three technicians were substantially involved in carrying out my transplant. I do not recall being clearly informed before booking that this would be the delivery model, being told who they were, or being given information about their qualifications and experience.

I have photographs taken immediately after leaving the clinic and over the following days, when the recipient sites were still clearly visible, providing a contemporaneous record of where the transplant was performed.

As the transplant matured, I repeatedly raised concerns about the crown and the developing result. I followed the advice to wait rather than judge the result prematurely.

It is now approximately 13 months since the procedure and I remain extremely dissatisfied with the crown result.

Want Hair's position has been that I should wait 18 months. However, independent hair-transplant professionals I have consulted have advised me that while some further maturation can occur, the result at around 12 months is generally representative of the eventual outcome. I am now obtaining independent professional assessments in writing regarding the planning, graft distribution and result.

I made a formal complaint and requested a refund or compensation. Neither Want Hair nor the clinic where the procedure was performed has offered me a refund or compensation.

I have also referred my concerns regarding the doctor involved to the General Medical Council. I am not suggesting that the GMC has reached any conclusion; I have referred the matter so that the appropriate regulator can consider it.

One of the biggest lessons for me is to independently check the credentials and professional affiliations of those providing hair-restoration surgery rather than relying mainly on marketing, reviews and impressive before-and-after photographs.

On 18 August 2026, I checked the membership directory of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS) and could not find Want Hair or the doctor who performed my procedure listed as members.

If I were choosing a hair-transplant provider today, I would insist on written answers about who will perform each stage, who will extract and implant the grafts, whether technicians will be involved, what their qualifications are, and how many grafts are actually intended for the area I want treated.

This experience has cost me more than the £3,194 procedure itself, including travel, recovery, time away from work and considerable time and stress pursuing my concerns.

I have retained extensive supporting evidence including the contract, WhatsApp correspondence, treatment design, clinical records, pre-operative photographs, immediate post-operative photographs, current photographs and complaint correspondence.

Based on my treatment, the result I have been left with and the way my concerns have been handled, I would not use Want Hair again.

When I initially made an enquiry I was hesitant to, I had been looking into hair transplants for a number of years.

However, when Shammy rang and after a lengthy conversation, I was sold! This wasn’t just going to be a procedure, it was going to be the full package and it was all done from the UK.

After my assessment, Shammy insisted that I had the transplant done at the Harley Street Hospital and he managed to get me a date within the week.

I made the booking and had the consultation from the team at Want Hair.

On operation day, I had reassurance throughout and the team at Harley Street which was led by Doctor Sümeyye Yüksel were amazing, there knowledge, experience and expertise was exactly what I needed and they completed the operation with no issues.

After the operation, I was required to submit images of the donor and transplanted areas on a WhatsApp group chat which had the Want Hair team in it who provided support and advice which is something I have found invaluable.

In a whole, 5 stars is not enough, from the initial contact through to my current position (12 days) the whole experience has been far better than I expected and I know if I have any issues then I can call either Shammy, Becky or Lauren for help and I know as I am the first to ask the silly questions!

I tried all the recommended shampoos you read about but found Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner to be the best option for my hair as the other high priced options made my head itchy and my scalp dry, My head went very dry and my hair very greasy with minoxidil so I stopped using it.
I did have ingrowing hairs at the start and a few issues but as I said WANTHAIR always available to offer advice on remedy's and solutions

I’m now two weeks post-surgery and the whole experience has been very smooth from start to finish.Before the surgery, I was assigned Clyde, who walked me through all the instructions and made sure I knew exactly what to expect. After surgery, I was added to WhatsApp groups where the team checked in daily, asked for updates and pictures, and answered any questions I had throughout my recovery.

Overall, I’ve felt well supported throughout the process, and everything has been handled really smoothly. Now I’m just looking forward to seeing what’s to come!

World class service from initial conversations, lead up, surgery day and aftercare.

Genuinely I am blown away by the service that this team delivered for me.

I was nervous initially and contemplating going to Turkey to have my hair done however thought I’d try a couple of places in the UK as comparisons.

I initially spoke with Matt at Want Hair and he was sound. Kept it simple, non pushy, connected well - he did a great job sharing experiences and making me feel relaxed. I was already pretty well prepared for what’s to come so it may have been an easier sell for him however… perfect.

Couple of photos sent then quoted straight away and actually on par with the best costs I was seeing from Turkey by the time I’d have got flights etc. just have the luxury of being in the UK for any follow up treatment if required - piece of mind for me.

The surgery day was very well organised, I turned up 10 mins before my appointment and made so welcome by the team.

Met with the team 6/7 people who were constantly with me through the day guiding through each step of the process.

They were all fantastic and kept a slightly nervy situation cool and calm with plenty of relevant information and light hearted chat.

The team are very conscientious and supportive every step off the way. I really was so impressed with how the day ran through.

My appointment was 22nd July 2026.

Feeling a little uncomfortable with transferring money or making payments to somebody I hadn’t met for a medical treatment was alien to me however no issues whatsoever - again… Matt was on WhatsApp within 2 minutes every time I needed him… even if it was for a bit of needy reassurance!!

Overall I’m super impressed with Want Hair… my hairline looks great after years struggling.

I had 4900 grafts and was in HSH (Harley street clinic) from 9.30 - 19.00.

Took a little longer as they wanted to do a further 300 grafts from the 4600 initial so I wasn’t complaining.

Can’t recommend highly enough! Watched Want Hair for a few years before plucking up the courage to book a consultation. After speaking to Matt and given all the options I chose Turkey. From start to finish it was a first class service. From the transportation and help booking flights and the accommodation to the actual support on the day from the whole team at Want Hair and the specialists and doctors at the treatment centre. I’m 6 months in and the hair is growing as it should. Becky and Matt at Want Hair have been in dialogue all the way through. They always respond and they always look into your queries. If you’re thinking about a hair or beard transplant I wouldn’t look any further than Want Hair.

Had my surgery a year ago on Harley St. The location was very high end as you would expect in central London. Dr Sumeya and her team were amazing on the day. She herself was very attentive to my concerns and made a plan for my transplant that I was completely happy with.
Both pre-op and post-op Matthew at Want Hair has been first class. He's always been on call and the thing I liked best was that he never pressured me. 12 months later my results have exceeded all my expectations, and have been life changing for me. I feel much more confident and don't shy away from photos anymore.

The one thing I will say is that results vary from person to person as it is a surgery at the end of the day and nobody can guarantee how your body reacts. However I was set realistic guidelines and fortunately the results are better than I thought they would be.

You can remove me off your facebook groups but if anyone is considering please message me as happy to provide all the evidence and consultations that clearly state poor transplant. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other people deserve to know about my experience.

I chose Want Hair because I felt reassured and believed I was in safe hands. I trusted the Facebook group and Trustpilot reviews, believing they reflected genuine experiences. I have since come to believe these are heavily controlled, and after raising concerns about my own experience, I was removed from the Facebook group.

You are also made to leave a 5 star review after chatting with them before the hair transplant

I was quoted around 2,000 grafts at the Manchester clinic and was told my case was an easy fix that would produce a good result. I felt pressured to pay a deposit and book a surgery date. Unfortunately, during the procedure I felt everything was rushed, and Dr. Munir had very little involvement. At the time I trusted the process, but as the months passed it became clear that the transplant had failed and was nowhere near the result I had been promised.

By six months my hairline was still extremely sparse, and by nine months there was very little improvement. Every time I raised my concerns, I was simply told to wait and felt ignored. Eventually, Dr. Munir admitted that my transplant had achieved only around 40% growth, despite expecting somewhere in the region of 80%. Rather than accepting responsibility, I was encouraged to pay for PRP treatment, which felt like another opportunity to make more money from me rather than resolve the underlying problem.

Before the transplant I was told that if things didn’t go to plan, a top-up procedure would be provided free of charge. I was therefore shocked when I was later asked to pay for the correction. I was also offered up to 3,000 grafts as a revision, despite originally being told I only needed 2,000 grafts. Since then, I have had several independent consultations, and every surgeon has advised that the transplant was poorly performed and looks unnatural. Serious questions were also raised about whether 2,000 grafts were ever implanted in the first place. This reassured me that this may have been performed poorly to make more money from a second hair transplant.

I was eventually offered a free revision only if I removed my 1-star review. I found this completely inappropriate and unethical. I knew after this I was not able to continue with Want Hair.

I made a formal complaint to Want Hair and requested a full refund, but my complaint was ignored twice.

In the end, I made a claim through my bank. Thankfully, I had kept all of the evidence, including recorded phone calls and watsapp chats, and I was fortunate enough to recover my money but only through section 75. Want Hair ignored my refund request. Unfortunately, I am still left with a poor hair transplant that will require further surgery to correct.

If I can offer one piece of advice, it is this: please think very carefully before choosing Want Hair. Some people may be lucky to have good results, but in my opinion the reviews do not reflect the full picture. There are many people who have had very poor outcomes, and I strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to do their own research on Reddit, Google, and other independent sources before making such an important decision.

They are just here to make money. The hair transplant will be poor and when things go wrong they won help you. How they can still be going I have no idea.

The surgery went a lot smoother than I anticipated. Little to no pain during the actual procedure, as well as the two week recovery period. A few communication issues which have left me a little underwhelmed but not enough to diminish the overall experience.

I was unsure about going through with a hair transplant, however after speaking with Matt one of the Want hair representatives my mind was very quickly put at ease. Throughout the entire process they have been at the other end of the phone if i ever needed to ask questions regarding the process. Im now nearly 3 weeks post op and I still have the ability to message the guys at Want hair about any concerns. Great experience and I will be sure to recommend them to friends and family.

From start to finish I was genuinely so impressed with the level of accuracy and professionalism. They listened to my concerns and really understood what I wanted. Easiest process of my life and in a weird way a really enjoyable experience. 4700 grafts and I was out within 5.5 hours. Would highly recommend these guys if you want an incredible hair transplant. Aftercare also was fantastic and that needs a mention.

Ed and the team were very good, and are still supporting now.

Ed was very good for me, as he was there every now and then to follow up with me, but not in a way where I felt pressurized to commit. Work commitments made my process long winded, but he was good with this which ultimately helped me make up my mind.

Very helpful with answering any questions you have, the whole process was straight forward! Would recommend for anyone thinking about going with them!

I spoke with Jay for most of the lead up to booking my hair transplant through Want Hair UK, as well as a lot of the aftercare updates with other members of the team.

The experience was great. Jay was always available to answer questions and was knowledgable on the whole end to end process. I was given clear, concise aftercare instructions and was able to ask questions to the team via WhatsApp daily, which I was really impressed with as this is not what similar companies do.

My transplant was done in the past few weeks so I am awaiting to see the growth results over the next 4 months, but my experience so far has been 5* and would definitely recommend Want Hair UK to others.

5 star experience so far, im 10 days post transplant. Want Hair are incredible at letting you know whats happening and keeping you informed. I had it done in Turkey and even in Turkey the communication was great in regards to the transport and the surgeon. Hotel was 5 star. I would reccomend choosing the Turkey option over going London. Even though its cheaper in Turkey the cost of it in Turkey is the equivalent of paying £10,000 in the UK. So you know you're paying for quality, the surgeon Gizem Yarambas has over 10 years experience of hair transplant and the clinic is smart. Definitely not a hair transplant mill where its 1 in 1 out.

I had my hair transplant done in December 2024 with want hair in Istanbul. From start to finish the whole team at want hair have been amazing, from first contact and consultation right up until now they have been in touch to make sure everything has been ok and to see if I needed any help or advice, I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough! I’m now 18 months post op and cannot believe the results, my hair is so much better than I ever imagined it would be.

Smooth experience throughout from start to finish, hair didn’t take to it as well as I thought and came out a little weak. I told Matt the issues and he was straight on it and got me booked back in for it to be sorted out! Best company there is!
