Every Waterpik I've ever owned broke down completely within half a year of buying it, and usually within two months; I think they have to be designed to die as soon as they possibly can, in order to encourage you to go back and get a replacement.

I own a ION Cordless Water Flosser. I bought it a year and a half ago for around 250$. The product is decent; however, the Customer Service is an absolute disgrace. Horrible experience.
During a move to a new place, I lost the power supply.
3 weeks ago I contacted the support via the website, asking where to buy a replacement. Mind you: I didn't ask for a free replacement.
After a week of no response, I sent another support request, still via the website.
Another week passed with no response from support, so I contacted them via WhatsApp.
The response via WhatsApp is appaling: they told me there is no replacement, and there is no option for me other than buying a new flosser. So 250 dollars litterally, down the drain.

Toller Kundenservice. Auf meine Beschwerde wurde sofort reagiert, innerhalb kürzester Zeit hatte ich ein Austauschgerät.

waterpik the devices work well but and there is a but. the travel units have a bag to store them. the problem with the bag as we'[ve discovered on a road trip is that the unit turns on if a bump in the road moves the unit .
it needs a hard case like an Oral B toothbrush.
the ion professional has a different problem, the magnetic holder dies after a few years and of course the warranty runs out at 3 years. They say that they cant help you after that.

Bought this because the depth was 3.8 inches according to the website. With cord and flare it’s over 5 inches.

It won’t fit in my cabinet.

Received today but Amazon won’t let me return it.

Waste of money because some fool at Waterpic can’t use a measuring tape.

I originally left a one-star review for this company due to how Brittany handled my situation. After filing a complaint with the BBB I got a call back from Madeline G and she was very, very helpful. How she handled this and came to a great resolution is how it should have been dealt with to begin with. Due to Madeline G I've now put five stars. My original review is below:

Not impressed with this company at all, A complaint was filed with the Better Business bureau this morning.

My water pik while under warranty was leaking. 10 months ago.

This company sent a replacement part and it still leaked. Then I was sent a new unit and that started to leak a few days ago.

When I explained this to Brittany on the phone earlier today she seemed very disinterested and completely unwilling to help.

To me this is not how a business should conduct itself. Zero ethics and they take no responsibility for a faulty part that they have designed and sell.

Be careful if you intend to deal with this company.

The new Waterpik Model WP-580 flosser is nothing like as good as the old one I bought a couple of years ago. This new one leaked like a sieve and only had about 50% of the water capacity of the old one, and lower water pressure as well. It went back and I bought a cheapo Chinese one for 1/5th of the price which seems just as good as the original Waterpik - save your pennies!

Ich hatte am 31.01.2025 bei Amazon das Gerät "Waterpik Ultra Professional Waterflosser feststehene Munddusche mit 7 Aufsätzen, Druckbereich 0,7- 7 Bar reguliebar über 10 Druckeinstellungen ,integrierterTimer, weiß ( WP - 660 EU)" bestellt, das jetzt defekt ist.
Amazon verweist mich auf meine Reklamation an den Hersteller "Waterpik", da ja noch Garantie besteht.
Ich rufe bei "Waterpik,"an und mir wird mitgeteilt, dass ich bei Amazon reklamieren soll, da ja nicht die Sichheit besteht, dass das Gerät von "Waterpik"stammt.
Ich wende mich erneut an Amazon,und erhalte wieder die Antwort , dass der Hersteller, "Waterpik" dafür Hilfe anbieten muss. Also rufe ich noch einmal bei "Waterpik" an, die Dame war so unfreundlich, hat mich nicht einmal aussprechen lassen und ihren Telefonhörer raufgeknallt. Das konnte man deutlich hören. Einen derart unreundlichen Kundenservice hatte ich noch nie erlebt. Dabei steht auf dem Gerät -Waterpik-und eine langstellige Nummer, EU ...damit hätte man mit Sicherheit herausbekommen, woher das Gerät stammt.

I really wanted to like this product because when it works, it actually does a decent job cleaning between teeth and improving gum health. Unfortunately, the build quality and long-term reliability completely ruined the experience for me.

After only a few months of normal use, the unit started having problems with inconsistent pressure and occasional leaking around the reservoir area. The charging connection also became unreliable, which was frustrating considering how expensive these devices are compared to other oral care products. For something designed to be used daily, I expected much better durability.

Customer support was polite at first, but the warranty process became unnecessarily complicated. I had to repeat the same information multiple times, wait days for replies, and still didn’t get a clear solution quickly. It felt like they were more focused on technicalities than actually helping customers resolve the issue.

The idea behind the product is good, but the quality control and after-sales support need serious improvement. I can only give 2 stars because the performance is decent when the device actually functions properly.

It is clumsy to hold. Difficult to fill the water tank. The brushes are too soft. I am better at wishing dental oral wash vigorously in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend it, a waste of money.

Title: Failed twice in months – warranty process a nightmare

Two units failed in quick succession — first within 3 months, second within 6 months.

While within Amazon’s return window, the return was easy and efficient.

Once outside Amazon’s period and dealing directly with Waterpik (Church & Dwight), the warranty process became a months-long ordeal. I was told a replacement had been shipped and “returned to sender,” yet no tracking number, carrier details, or evidence of delivery attempt were ever provided — despite repeated requests and confirmed address details.

If you are outside Amazon’s return window, be aware: the warranty process is extremely frustrating and unresolved in my case after nearly 4 months of weekly emails.

I recently reached out to Waterpik regarding the end-of-life disposal of my device, specifically looking for a manufacturer reclamation program. In 2025, it is standard practice for competent electronics manufacturers to take responsibility for the hazardous materials (lithium-ion batteries) and precious metals they introduce into the market.

I was shocked when Waterpik customer support informed me that the company has no reclamation program and expects customers to simply offload this hazardous electronic waste onto their local municipalities.

This policy—or lack thereof—is not just disappointing; it is negligent. It signals a profound incompetence and ignorance at the senior leadership level regarding the circular economy and modern sustainability standards. While other companies (like Panasonic) are actively reclaiming materials to close the loop on production, Waterpik is operating on an outdated, lazy "take-make-waste" model that externalizes their pollution costs onto the public.

A water flosser may clean your teeth, but a company that refuses to clean up its own mess does not deserve your money. I urge consumers to withhold financial support from Waterpik until they take the consumer product lifecycle seriously and implement a responsible reclamation program.

Do not buy Waterpik flossers

$200+ flosser that is disposable outside of its 2yr warranty?

Hard to imagine that such devices that could easily be made with screws and water seals would instead be glued and plastic-welded closed. Contacted support, they ghosted me the moment I mentioned the model and the time I'd had it.

Avoid at all costs. Buy something actually cheap from China instead.

A première vue, malgré le prix vraiment exagéré de mon appareil Hydropulseur Ultra Plus WP-160, il faisait le travail : nettoyer les interstices entre les dents.
Mais le tuyau s'est percé et compte tenu que le tuyau est solidaire de la poignée, il fallait racheter l'ensemble de la pièce.
- la pièce n'est pas accessible sur le site de waterpik, malgré ce qui est écrit sur la notice relativement aux pièces détachées ;
- sur d'autres sites, elle coûte 33 €, soit 1 tiers du prix d'achat ce qui est vraiment exagéré ;
- ce n'est pas du tout conforme aux principes de réparabilité et de durabilité ;
- j'ai acheté la poignée du modèle antérieur sur un site, mais ça fuit également.
En conclusion, j'ai un appareil très cher que je ne peux utiliser car je ne trouve pas les pièces détachées et tout ça pour 100 €!!
et le service après-vente que j'ai contacté n'a été d'aucun utilité.

Waterpik Flosser Cordless unit - tip clicks in but then pops out under water pressure. Tried to contact customer service and went through all the options to press numbers. Ended up sitting on hold and finally gave up waiting.

I bought The Sonic 2.0 Waterpik less than 3 years ago. The brush stopped recharging and I reached out to the Waterpik company, as it is supposed to be under warranty as noted in the registration warranty I purchased less than 3 years ago. I was told the warranty does not apply because I don't have the original recipe, even though I have proof of registration with the date of purchase as confirmed by the Waterpik. This is unacceptable and unethical.

So sad, I bet I’ve had 4 or 5 over a five year period, all have failed in less than 6 months. I baby the unit, keep it clean, etc. just stops, either the brush or water flosser.

Ich habe mir bei Amazon die waterpik cordless "waterflosser"-Munddusche bestellt. Trotz intensivster Recherche (youtube-videos!!) und dem richtigen Equipment ist es mir nicht gelungen, den Akku aufzuladen. Ein Anruf beim Kundenservice waterpik Deutschland war absolut desaströs. Keine Infos, keine Ratschläge. Nur eine Aussage wurde übermittelt. Ich soll mich an Amazon wenden.

I have the WP-100 Waterpik, countertop flosser. Never again. The reservoir drips/pours water when removing from machine for refilling and replacing. A new 'valve' (sent from Waterpik) fixes it, for a couple of weeks. then have to keep calling to get new valvies. Waterpik evidently knows its a problem since their instructions say to call for free replacements when it fails. (How about designing a valve that doesn't fail?) I have replaced the valve and 2 weeks later it is dripping again. Over and over. Waterpik has a list of things to accuse the user of doing to escape responsibility for bad design (hard water?not cleaning with vinegar solution every few weeks? not emptying reservoir after every use (and then waiting for unit to re-prime itself after filling)? cleaning in dishwasher?, etc. etc.) I had an older version of this Waterpik for years without having this issue. No more Waterpik for me.
