If it was possible to give them 0 stars I would. Even one star is far too high of a dating. Absolutely awful solicitors avoid them. They open files under legal aid and then they do not provide any legal advice. They count talking to the receptionist as providing legal advice. They are absolute scammers.

Recently sold two properties and purchased one with the legal support of Watson Woodhouse at Stockton. Very professional service and always kept up to date. They responded to queries in a timely manner and shared information between themselves on the transactions so that all progressed smoothly. Would not hesitate to recommend this firm for conveyancing and special thanks to Andrew, Lucy and Katie.

Hi i am one of Watson Woodhouse Solicitors long time customer and I have been let down from them big time as receptionists and Mr Nain one of the Solicitors made me look like a fool while I was there to certify a letter for me I was happy to pay for the fees but they have refused to help even I asked i want to see a manager but the have ignored me and refused to help full stop !!!!. While a very nice Solicitors next door to them Smith and Graham Mr Jameel Bashir very helpful gentleman helped me even I have never have used any if their services before . I will never ever use Watson Woodhouse Solicitors again and will strongly advise to all their customers and public to think twice before you go to Watson Woodhouse Solicitors thanks.

I contacted Civil Legal Advice regarding an urgent Section 204 homelessness appeal. The advice was being handled by Watson Woodhouse Solicitors as part of Civil Legal Advice.
They took all details, created an account and password for me and told me to wait for a solicitor to contact me. I was also told not to contact other solicitors
For the next 2 weeks I kept calling because the matter was urgent and there was a strict appeal deadline. Each time I was told that I was on the waiting list and that urgency was added.
Then on a Friday afternoon, only 3 working days before the appeal deadline, I was told that there was no funding available and that I needed to find another solicitor instead.
When I contacted another solicitor, they were surprised that I left it so late, but the reason was because I was waiting for updates and believed the case was moving forward. This left almost no time to prepare the appeal properly with another firm.
I understand funding can be limited, but this should have been explained much earlier instead of keeping us waiting during an urgent appeal process. The delay caused a lot of stress and loss of valuable time trying to secure legal representation.

From day one to day 191 Olivia supported our family from overseas initial contact was made via telephone then she travelled out to Cyprus. She was at the end of the phone every hour any request made from myself was actioned from her within 24hours and great communication made!
We knew exactly what was happening and when, no clue with the law ourselves first time and Olivia made it not so scary!!
We can not recommend Olivia Dixon enough- professional and high standards from day 1 all the way through.
She was able to pick up on information shared with her to use as evidence that we didnt realise could be useful her and the barrister were amazing and settled our worry.

Honestly the worst solicitor I’ve ever dealt with. Communication was shocking, requests for information they didn’t need, negativity from solicitors, constant delays and no accountability. Stopped bothering and contacted another solicitor where I received professionalism, amazing communication, felt heard & prioritised, my legal aid was completed within 5 days vs the 5 months I was in contact with Watson!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The worst communication I have ever experienced from a company! They don’t care about you or the dream family home you are buying. They told us the purchase of our new family home was delayed due to contracts with another company. Two months down the line this process wasn’t completed and now they want over £600 to complete this after us paying the final invoice that we were told
On two occasions included all fees for the services that had been provided to us. We are now being threatened after 4 months and told if we don’t pay this our home isn’t in our name. I repeat again DONT USE THIS COMPANY! utter waste of time and money. And not what you expect from a “local” company

Where do I even start, changing solicitors twice within a year to be told nearly at the end of my case they can’t represent me anymore.. totally incompetent but they made sure they took all the money off my legal aid certificate thought made sure they got paid for the pointless work they did carry out. Was told but the unprofessional staff they didn’t have the staffing to finalise which is probably rubbish with a form of this size. Absolute joke of a company and defiantly wouldn’t use them for family law full stop!! This was the Middlesbrough office. I have made a complaint heard nothing back they are not interested in anything accept taking your money. I was even refused my legal aid certificate until the said staff member went to her boss. It’s mine they can’t do that. Let’s just say I had it within 10 minutes but I’m not allowed it I was told abruptly! Have all emails to prove what I’m saying! After I’ve seen Watson woodhouse reply I have actually complained through the correct procedures and not heard a single thing off them till this reply today!

First visit to Stockton office, excellent Customer Service, Ben Ballantyne assisted with the help I needed very efficiently, he went over and above to help, will be my number 1 choice in my future dealings in Business, reception staff also excellent.
