Returns policy is dreadful

Returns policy is dreadful, the blind shaker is rubbish wouldnt recommend to anyone. Would have been an instant return but they dont allow you to return items other than coffee grinders!!

very disappointing customer service

I purchased the Weber The Key with high expectations, and in terms of craftsmanship and design, the grinder truly impressed me. The build quality and engineering reflect the premium positioning of the brand.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by a prolonged warranty process. The first unit had a confirmed manufacturing defect. After a lengthy return procedure, I received a replacement that, in my view, did not meet the standard of a new product. The packaging differed significantly from the original, parts were secured with non-original tape, a section of the cardboard had been cut out, and there were visible marks near the power input. This created serious doubt about the condition of the unit.

While I remain convinced that Weber designs exceptional products, the handling of my case and the final proposed solution were disappointing. For a product in this price range, I expected a smoother and more customer-focused resolution.

A beautiful grinder in concept, but unfortunately a frustrating customer journey. It is still not resolved.

Great support and transparent team

I ordered an EG-1 from Weber and there was a delay in shipping so I sent an e-mail to ask for the status.
The Weber team was very helpful and explained to me the situation - a customs delay. They kept me updated daily about the situation.
After a few days of waiting they sent me the package. Currently waiting for it.
I am very impressed about their support team because they were very transparent and explained the situation.

Be careful if you want to cancel an…

Be careful if you want to cancel an order! Although I immediately canceled my order worth 400 euros, I was charged platform fees of almost 10 percent. Weber Workshops told me that such fees are collected by their platform and cannot be refunded. So, keep your eyes open when buying!

Obnoxious customer service

Obnoxious customer service. Definitely not up to their price point. If it works, it’s fine, but once you have a problem coming up with the grinder, these obnoxious people are the worst trolls you can confront.

The grinder arrived with a paint defect. I sent them evidence, and this is what they have replied; Read the emails and make up your mind whether you want to purchase anything that expensive and be treated like this. Happy to send you all the photos and problems I faced with this company. Reach me out if you want to see how the grinder came. And how they are saying it’s okay to send $2000 product with unfinished painting.

The parcel was delivered on the 19th of Feb, but as I mentioned, I wasn’t able to open it until the 21st.
Looking back at the photo I took on the 21st—right after opening it and showing off the key to my friends—the marks were already there :(
Which means the damage was present from the start.

As you can see, these imperfect, defected paints were present from the day 1 when the grinder arrived.
Also, a significant amount of paint’s coming off even the parts where it was not directly contacting when changing grinder size settings or grinding beans.
I have attached images. It is significant quality issue as the grinder has been used 2-3 times a day at home for less than a month.

Thank you for your message and for the photos. Those are high-wear areas where the anodization wears off from repeated contact with two anodized surfaces. There is no paint there. Anodization is a electrochemical process which converts the surface to an oxide layer. This is a normal wear pattern-we don't see anything defective here. If you want, you can use a black permanent marker to make those points black again-that's an old trick that gets used in industry for black anodized surfaces and it works remarkably well. A sharpie works well-mark on the spot, then buff it with your thumb before it dries to even it out, repeating as necessary.

Thank you for your message-I can see the wear on the the most recent photos that you sent-but the 21'st photo is inconclusive at best. I don't see the markings-and I find it difficult to imagine that someone with your attention to detail would miss those.
Any/all grinders will develop these wear patterns over time. This is a tool meant to last many years-it'll accumulate more markings and patina over time as any tool will. Feel free to remedy them as you wish-it will continue to serve you well.

I want to express my disappointment with your response. The comment, “Someone with your attention to detail missing this”, came across as patronising, which I found quite frustrating.
If you take a closer look at the photo—zooming in—you’ll notice the marks I mentioned. I’m happy to provide the original file if you need to check the data details, including the date.
While I understand that the product is designed to last for years, the initial quality check on your end, along with Weber’s defensive stance on product quality, is concerning. Don’t get me wrong—I acknowledge that your products feel premium and well-built. However, given the high price point, customers rightly expect a flawless product, free from issues such as paint defects.
Additionally, regarding the water bottle, could you please send the replacement as mentioned? I no longer plan to purchase the Buck Portafilter.

Thank you for your message. Grinders with anodization defects fail our QC process-full stop. These are not defects.

Just received the bird

Just received the bird
I absolutely love it
Slick design, absoultely nice feel to it and,for me, easy workflow. As an added bonus it makes tasty coffee as well. ;)
I am no James Hoffman, I know, but I can recommend this product
I placed the order on the 13'th and and received it on the 25.th
I live in Denmark and it was shipped out of Hamburg/Germany.
Not a long wait if you ask.
For me an over all positive experience
I am sure I will return to Weber Workshop again.
