HI Weldrick Ltd is a family-owned company registered in England and based in Doncaster, Yorkshire- we have had an internet presence since 1998. We fully pay UK taxes and we do not divulge your personal data to any third parties. We have a pharmacy tradition dating back to the 1930s when our late founders' grandmother opened her first pharmacy in Doncaster Town Centre. Remaining true to his vision our business remains 100% family-owned. With a commitment to community healthcare and staff training we have steadily grown to 59 pharmacies in the South Yorkshire area. We employ over 600 formally trained staff among who are more than 80 pharmacists, including 9 clinical pharmacists. While our aim is not to make any mistakes we recognise they will happen occasionally and if they do we commit to communicating with our customers, do our best to put the problem right, identify the cause of the error and learn from it.

I used Weldricks online service and…

I used Weldricks online service and found it to be less than acceptable. I ordered some Beroca Tablets and 1 week after ordering received the wrong product that I then had to take to the Post Office to return. 3 weeks on the product is still not here so I have cancelled.
Good Price but poor service delivery. Not sure the web page is linked to their stock !

I was extremely sorry to learn from your review that due to our dispatch error you received the wrong variant of your product. Please accept my sincere apologies for our mistake, by way of explanation and not as an excuse, we have a three-stage checking process before an order is sent to our customers but clearly on this occasion the picking error was not identified by us. When errors occur, they are fully reviewed by the respective team in our business and our ambition is to see that they are prevented from reoccurring.

I can see that one of my customer care colleagues immediately, re-ordered the correct item from our supplier, however, although this item is showing as being available in their warehouse the correct item hasn’t arrived with us. Please be assured that we will discuss this with our account manager at our next review meeting, and ask that they fully investigate to find out what has happened and to prevent it from happening again in the future.

I understand how inconvenient it is for you to have to use your time in correcting our mistake so if you don’t mind, I will ask one of my customer care colleagues to contact you to find out if you are happy with my explanation, and I do hope this human error will not deter you from remaining one of our valued customers,

I am sorry to learn from this review that your order has taken longer than you expected to be processed and delivered to you.
I have traced your order which was received Thursday 29th January at 4.58pm. While most of our orders are delivered to our customers within a few days, to avoid setting up unrealistic expectations and to allow for occasional foreseeable delays we clearly state on our website at time of ordering that it can take from 3-5 working days for dispatch of customer orders and from 1-3 working days for the order to be delivered by our delivery partners, this is a maximum of 8 working days. We are therefore still on track to deliver your order within the timeframe that we state on our website and as soon as it leaves us you will receive a dispatch confirmation and tracking information by email.

I do value all customer comments on our service and I will arrange for your review to be considered in our next planning meeting.

Great service.

So quick & easy to order on line. Pleasant & helpful staff at the pharmacy from which I pick up my orders. Highly recommended Rossington branch of Weldricks.

Delivery can take almost two weeks even…

Delivery can take almost two weeks even though we have placed the order online with the prescription pdf attached.
We always have to contact them after a week for a delivery date.
We send the orginal prescription first class with proof of postage but still need to contact Weldricks for an update.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am sorry to hear that the processing and delivery times did not meet your expectations.

 By way of explanation, and not as an excuse, we are unable to begin processing orders for controlled‑drug medication until the original hard‑copy prescription arrives with us by post. The legal requirement for us to physically hold the prescription before dispensing means we must, in turn, rely on courier companies to deliver it to us, and this stage alone can take 3–5 working days. Upon receipt of prescriptions, our pharmacy team begins processing orders the same day.

Before an order is transferred to our dispensary, we must complete all legally required checks for controlled veterinary prescriptions. This includes verifying the authenticity of the original prescription, ensuring the dose is safe and appropriate for the species and condition, checking for any potential interactions with other medications on record, and confirming that the prescribed quantity is reasonable for the stated treatment plan. I appreciate that these steps can extend the overall timeline, but they are essential to ensure the safe and compliant supply of medication in line with UK regulations.

On reviewing your orders with us, I can confirm that each one was dispatched within 5 working days of us receiving the original prescription and delivered within 48 hours of dispatch using your chosen delivery service. A dispatch email is always sent as soon as an order has been shipped so customers know their parcel is on its way. While I fully understand your disappointment, we did deliver your order within the timeframe stated on our website. 

I do understand the point you are making, which I take to be that some of our competitors—often larger, highly mechanised multinational businesses—may offer shorter dispatch times. We have discussed this internally and have chosen to remain what we are: a family‑owned, Yorkshire‑based business that employs local staff and pays full UK taxes, rather than an impersonal, automated operation that removes people from the process. Because much of our work is carried out manually, we have additional checking steps at dispatch to minimise the risk of human error. For this reason, we state delivery timeframes that reflect these processes and allow for any foreseeable delays.

I value all customer feedback, and have arranged for a member of our Customer Service Team to contact you on Monday to confirm that you are satisfied with my explanation and to see if there is anything further we can assist with.

Nice company but be aware of 5 day processing times before medication dispatched

I’ve updated the rating of this review as, in their response, the company point out that they do mention the 3-5 day processing time on their website, which is true. It would have been helpful if they’d made clear that it could be 7 days including postage, as if I’d known this I would have gone elsewhere as I couldn’t wait that long (and I’ve been told my order is likely to take the full 5 days to process). But,they are U.K. based, friendly and reasonably priced, so a good option for anything non-urgent, and as such I’ve updated the rating to 4 stars.

Original review (unchanged): Reasonably priced and friendly, but incredibly slow processing times (up to 5 days to process the order before they even post it) mean they’re not suitable for anything remotely urgent. I hadn’t understood that the 3-5 working day time was just for them to process the order and that postage times were on top of this. If I’d have known, I would never have ordered with them and am now having to try to find the medication somewhere else as my pet has a serious bacterial infection and might die before the medicine arrives from Weldricks. If you have a non-urgent order that you can wait a week or so for, they are friendly and good value.

I am sorry to learn from your review that your delivery is taking longer to reach you than you hoped it would.
I have traced your order which was received Monday 19th January.
I do understand the point you are making, about our dispatch times, which I am assuming is that compared to some of our competitors who are highly mechanised, larger multi-national businesses who offshore some of their taxes our despatch periods are longer. We have discussed this internally and decided that we prefer to be what we are, a family owned, Yorkshire based business that employs local staff and fully pays UK taxes rather than an impersonal, highly mechanised stock handling business that removes the staff from the processes. Because much of our work is done manually, we have more checking processes to go through at despatch to prevent human error and hence we state despatch and delivery time frames that allow for these processes and any foreseeable delays.
We do try to be as transparent as we possibly can on our website and all lead times are clearly stated on all products and before checkout.
I do value all customer comments and I will arrange for your review to be considered in our next planning meeting so the subject is discussed again. I have also arranged for one of my customer service team to contact you and check you are satisfied with my explanation, that I have understood you correctly and to find if there is anything else I can do for you,

Products at really good prices

Products are at really good prices and sent out quickly at a reasonable cost. The packaging is well done as bottles are bubble wrapped in two bags and then additional paper packing us put into the box to stop everything moving. The only criticism would be that the bubble bags have adhesive strips to seal them which are used unnecessarily. If the seal was left on you could at least reuse the bags, although non plastic packing would be more desirable.

Weldricks deal with problems extremely well.

I notified Weldricks by email that my parcel had been damaged in transit, and one of the tubs of foot cream was cracked, causing some of the cream to leak into the cardboard box. Two days later Weldricks instructed me to dispose of the damaged tub, since a replacement was about to be sent. It arrived safely just 5 days later.
