The chalet is beautiful. It is so well equipped and maintained in a first class condition - it looks like brand new - and we found it spotlessly clean.
Also the owners are most helpful if there are any queries/issues.
There is a breath-taking view over the bay just a short walk from the chalet and the scenery in those parts is amazing. It is a 20 to 30 min walk (or a short bus ride) from the chalet into the town with access to a perfect sandy beach - great for kids. There is a wildlife sanctuary along the same road also popular with kids. Town has numerous coffee shops/restaurants, including curry houses and the best shop for ice-creams in our view is Pebbles on the sea front.
It is an idyllic location that we have been back to several times and plan to return to next year.

Another fabulous stay at Seas The Day at Sandown holiday park. We have stayed for many years at this park and in many chalets but Seas The Day is our favourite! The chalet is clean, comfortable and stylish, very well equipped for a self catering holiday, we like to cook simple meals every day. The owners are always helpful and friendly and let us know lots of useful local tips!
The site is just beautiful, quiet and relaxing with a lovely short walk down to Yaverland beach, which is dog friendly. Luckily with the heat this year we swam in the sea every day for 2 weeks, bliss! We always say the site is like holidaying in the 1950's - children on the beach all day, then out playing til 7pm then the site goes quiet while parents and grandparents gather together for a beer on their decking under the stars! We love the Wildheart Sanctuary and its cafe, the Sundial cafe is also good and we enjoy Brown's putting, all in walking distance. We also like the walk up to the top of Culver Cliff and if were lucky we can grab a lemonade in The Culver Haven Inn. We loved Ventnor Botanic gardens, first visit there this year! We are always sad to leave the beautiful Isle of Wight but we will be sure to return soon !

We had a lovely stay at Ocean Decks. It’s beautifully decorated and very well equipped with a great southerly aspect. The owners were friendly and helpful and dealt with an issue we encountered whilst there very quickly. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Thanks Gillian and Dave!

We had a lovely time at sandown bay holiday park with white bay holidays, it was very easy to book with friendly helpful owners, the chalets are immaculate located right by the sea with amazing walks along beaches and cliffs which we loved.

This was our 5th time in Ocean Decks and we have already rebooked for next year, I think that alone speaks for itself :-). the chalets are pristine, every year they look brand new. The decor is at the same time cheery and serene, a happy place to be, much more than just a base for the holiday. Everything is beautiful and practical, everything works perfectly. The colour scheme is lovely with a combination of white, pale blue and a splash of red here and there. You can tell the chalets have been decorated and furnished with love. Dave and Gillian are wonderful hosts, always at the end of the phone in the rare event you need them. would recommend 100%

This is our second time to the Isle of Wight and the chalet was perfect in every way. The people we talked to regarding direction to get anywhere very very helpful. Always a joy to stay in Ocean Decks. Everything catered for and Gillian and Dave always accommodating and thoughtful. Wonderful southerly outlook to the front with generously sized gated decking area, which is a peaceful spot to sit out on and our dog adores it too. Beautiful unspoilt walks and golden sandy beach right on the doorstep. Great to have a washing machine and an air fryer and a very comfortable double mattress in the main bedroom, lots of pots and pans and crockery too. Can't wait to go again.

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay in Seas The Day chalet. It was very well-equipped, with everything needed for a self-catering holiday, and beautifully decorated, very clean, very comfortable and in a quiet location. Gillian and David could not have been more helpful from the moment we booked until we left. Highly recommended.

Just love these chalets! 5th stay since last December as they are so perfect, has everything we need and more! (Including an air fryer!)
We had a couple of days of wind and rain but knowing the chalet is warm and cosy with wifi and a Smart tv meant we could catch up on the Christmas TV in comfort!
Its a 10 minute walk straight onto the sandy beach which is great to give the dog a good run as the closest beach is dog friendly all year round.
The Wildheart animal sanctuary is again about a 10 minute walk away and is lovely to watch the rescued bears. Often from the chalet you can hear the lions roaring, which is an experience in itself! The cafe is dog friendly and great for a coffee and cake or lunch.
There is always a few essentials like water, apple juice, milk and biscuits left for us but as we stayed at Christmas we had a card, a Christmas decoration and lovely m&s chocolates left for us too, which is over and above anything we have ever had left as a welcome pack!
The owners are great, so friendly and they do everything they can to ensure our stay is perfect, from letting us know if the chalet is clean and ready earlier than the 4pm check in, to being on hand to help if we need anything and checking in by text to make sure everything is OK.
I love the chalets so much my family now also use Wightbay when they want a stay in Sandown and everyone I know who has used them return again and again. I thoroughly recommend Wightbay, anyone booking with them will not be disappointed!

Our stay was fabulous, very comfortable, extremely well furnished with all the home comforts and more, tastefully decorated. The Welcome pack was lovely too, a delightful extra. All sorts of handy information and tips in the folders of walks places to visit. Definitely would book again and recommend. Thanks to Gillian and Dave , very prompt with answering queries too.

I've always loved the idea of going to the Isle of Wight but it seemed too far away from us in Staffordshire but when I worked it out it's only 150 miles to Southampton, little trip on the ferry, then you're on the island. Compare that to 250+ miles to Cornwall and the wonderful M5 🤦🏻‍♂️.

We booked Wightbay Holidays after looking at their reviews on Facebook and on here and we were not disappointed!. This fantastic little chalet has everything you need for a short or longer break. All the utensils are high quality as are the White Goods. There's an air fryer which was perfect for a couple of lazy evenings cooking 😉 and a washing machine which came in very handy! Everywhere is very clean and you can tell the owners have taken time and care in the decor. The pull out bed/sofa in the living room was perfect for our family game nights. Personal touches like the welcome pack with tea,coffee,apple juice(sourced from the IoW!) and chocolate chip cookies, the kitchen tap having a built in Britta filter (guess what my wife wants to buy!!) and the decking area at the front for morning cuppas made you realise that Dave and Gillian really care that their guests enjoy their time away. On the subject of caring about their guests, whenever we asked a question on the lead up to the holiday we'd always get a detailed reply. The info we were given about the IoW before we arrived was perfect, Dave and Gillian being island residents helped us find great places to eat,drink and visit.

If your looking for a quiet beach holiday then the stretch of sand that lies just yards from the Chalet is bliss! We could easily walk 5 mins from our base, through a gate down a little path then be sat on the golden sands, but the best bit, you're not really near anybody else, the main beach is half a km away but an easy walk to the amenities if needed. On our days at the beach we didn't see more that 2-3 people sat within a couple hundred meters either side (this was during the main school holidays and a Bank Holiday!).

We will definitely be staying with Wightbay Holidays again in the future, I'm already missing IoW...

What a beautiful location. The chalet was perfectly located with amazing views. We had everything we needed there and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back

Just spent a week at chalet "Sea's The Day" with my partner and his mum. On arrival, we we're very pleased that the owners left us apple juice, biscuits, milk, tea bags and coffee. Wow, the place was spotless! Had everything you need and the washing machine was a big bonus. Beds and mattresses were comfy. Very close to the beach. It felt like a home from home. Excellent hosts. Good price and well worth a stay.

We've just returned from a 3 night stay in Ocean decks and couldn't have asked for a nicer stay. We were able to check in earlier which was great and found the chalet warm and welcoming. It was so clean with lovely quality bedding, well equipped kitchen and some nice extra touches ie welcome pack. The location was perfect for us with easy access on foot to Yaverland for dog walks. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the decking area which also offered security for our dog. We are already booked to return in September. Having stayed on this site as a child myself and then bringing my own children when they were younger I can say the charm of this lovely little bit of the IOW is still very much alive. Attentive hosts make this a 5 out of 5 review as well. Thank you.

We stayed in Ocean Decks with our daughter and family for a week.lovely comfortable chalet with added touches of decor pieces which are lovely aswell.
Everything you need for your stay equipment wise also milk, coffee, tea,fresh apple juice and cookies on arrival which was lovely .
We stayed in the winter so did not use the decking but in the summer it would be lovely to sit out on it.
Lovely views , short walk down to beach, also zoo etc .
Ideal also if your into walking as right next to the coastal path
Great price would highly recommend.
Gillian and Dave we're great with communication and even though we never met they come across as a lovely couple.
Would not hesitate to stay with them again .

We stayed in Seas the day chalet at beginning of September 2024. The chalet was spotless, excellent decor, really comfortable beds, all facilities were excellent and attention to detail was amazing. Really could not fault anything. Very quiet location with excellent access to beach a short walk away. Just so perfect. Thank you for having us. Anyone thinking of staying, just book it, you won't be disappointed xx

Just spent 2 amazing weeks in Seas the Day. A perfectly comfortable chalet with everything we could of wanted/needed.
A short walk to the beach, providing an excellent base for us.
This is our 3rd time staying and have already booked for next year !

Lovely week with family and very comfortable accommodation. The owners provided everything you would need for your holiday. Close to Sandown and the beaches. Just one drawback is the exit from the site with it being on a blind bend on a hill but obviously not the owners fault just needs great caution.
