You cannot close your account yourself, only they can do it!

I can confirm your account has now been closed and the 5p balance refunded to you. It should arrive in your bank within 3 business days, but often much quicker.
To clarify what happened: you requested your account to be closed this morning, our customer service team wasn't refusing to close your account — they were following our standard process which requires confirmation that any remaining funds have been successfully refunded before account closure can be completed. This protects customers from losing money during the closure process. This had been actioned earlier in the evening and our customer service team would have relayed this information once their shift had started.
We're sorry if this wasn't communicated as clearly as it could have been.

Poor Customer Service
I have won a bit more money with Win A Million than I ever have done with the National Lottery.
I have one massive gripe that when having a query about my winnings wallet I emailed them & I did not get a reply so after day one I sent them a reminder email to see if anyone was dealing with my query but again no answer & sent a second reminder & no answer until they had seen my initial review with Trustpilot. According to their website they should answer your queries within 24hrs but they have failed to do this. I sent them a second reminder email to ask if anyone is dealing with my query but again they have failed to respond.
I have now withdrawn my subscription due to their inefficient customer service.
They need to act on what they state on their website & if for some reason they cannot sort a problem within 24hrs then they should at least just acknowledge your query & say that they are at least looking into it, Win A Million need to tweak their website to make it easier to understand & make it easier to cancel your subscription when you want.
Will now play another lottery with someone else.

This is explained in the FAQ section on the Enter page where you select your numbers, as well as our main FAQ page and Terms & Conditions.
To offer a £1,000,000 jackpot at just 50p per entry while keeping a 1-in-9 overall win rate, we had to make some game design decisions. Positional matching is what makes those economics work - it lets us keep the price low and win frequency high, while still offering life-changing prizes. That's also why we pay higher prizes for matching just 2 (£10) or 3 (£500) numbers in the correct positions.
