We had a private full day tour of the Douro valley with our lovely guide Yara.
The whole day was wonderful. We had a glorious drive to the Douro and then visited 3 different wineries along with a fabulous lunch at a restaurant in Pinhao.
The 3 wineries were all excellent but very different in size which made for a most interesting trip.
Yara was very knowledgeable about the area and the wines and she made sure that our day was absolutely fantastic.
We would definitely book with Winerist again!

We recently returned from a visit to the Douro Valley with tours organised from Winerist.
Included was a visit to Pocas cellars where we had a fantastic tour of their casks and were guided by a member of the winemaking family. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting session and can now totally appreciate chocolate and Vermouth in a completely different way!
Our second tour was a full day excursion with a private driver, who was hugely entertaining and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the area and Portugal as a whole, so enabled us to get a much larger appreciation of the history and culture behind the Port wine making industry.
This tour took us into deep into the valley and whilst there's not much greenery at this time of year, it did allow for total appreciation of the famous stepped outstanding landscape.
Included was an excellent quality tasting at a small vineyard high up the valley side, called Quinta Do Cume, then onto a larger establishment for an outstanding lunch, which could easily match Michelin standards, with pairings at the Quinta Do Portal, where we could have quite comfortably stayed all day!
As a final stop for the day, we were treated to quite the hair raising ride down the valley face (due to a road closure), which we all thoroughly enjoyed, to make it to our final destination at Wine and Soul for the superb final set of wines to enjoy (some now no longer produced, but we were very generously offered to savour).
The last outing arranged was to the unique WOW experience. This is a hugely impressive selection of buildings that has an interactive theme and all have something else to see, hear, smell, touch and taste. Their top piazza area offers uninterrupted views of Porto itself and is a must see!
Our overall experience of Winerist organising these tours, has been first class. I would not hesitate to recommend Catherine as an agent, to anyone who would like to experience the region, as her knowledge and enthusiasm was second to none. Thank you!

Had a wonderful experience with the Winerist team where they have been able to recommend an exquisite place with the most wonderful views, a little gem I definitely enjoyed very much. Team was proactive, able to accommodate every little request I had and were wonderful to deal with.

I booked a tour for two in the Mosel area. The team at Winerist was responsive and quick to come back with possible dates for the tour and very quick on confirming everything after the booking.
The guide they contacted for this tour was helpful from the beginning, suggesting a few towns where it was worth staying, then he tailored the tastings based on what we wanted to try. He came to pick us up in the morning with a surprise (a bottle of local sparkling wine to drink in the car) and then he drove us around all day (7 hours total). We visited two vineries and tasted around 30 wines in total. The first one was one of the big players of the area, the second one a smaller and young one, with a very decent selection and great care and love on what they do. In between we had a lovely lunch in a restaurant he booked for us. He was also very knowledgeable, pleasant and willing. Overall a great experience.

It was so nice to be guided by Marc. Such a nice experience as my first winery tour.

Our e-bike wine tour was the highlight of our trip to Saint Emilion. We had a great day with our guide Tim, cycling through the lovely countryside around Saint Emilion and stopping at some wonderful estates. Tim provided the most delicious picnic and we had fun tasting all the wines.

We had a wonderful experience. The cheese making process was fun and informative. We loved visiting the animals and the property is beautiful. Lunch was delicious. My only regret was I was so busy talking that I forgot to buy cheese! I highly recommend it to anyone that loves cheese, farming, cooking or all three!

We had a wonderful day exploring the Douro valley. Felipe, our guide, was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and made the journey and the stops really enjoyable. The two vineyards visited were a super choice and the lunch was excellent. Highly recommended!!!

The tour was just ok. I’m a wine lover & maybe a bit too experienced for this tour.
I did learn a bit about Port & how it’s made, but little else about the grapes, region, & other wines of the area.

The vineyards are nice. But seem like mass producers. Not special.

Lunch was good. Enjoyed meet persons from other cultures.

Lovely wine tour of Douro Valley. Our guide, Miguel stopped at several viewpoints so we could take pictures. He was knowledgeable about the area and wine making. We stopped at a small family winery and tasted the best 25 year old port. We also stopped at a large winery where we had a delicious 3 course lunch and also had a tour and tasting. We never would have been able to navigate to those spots if we drove ourselves. It was a lovely day.

Luigi was a wonderful guide. Extremely knowledgeable but easy going. He made our half day tour of Medoc very special and fun! Would definitely recommend!

We had an excellent time with Guilherme on the Douro Valley wine tour. Lots of wine available so fairly tipsy by the end of the day! Guilherme was an excellent guide and told us all about Douro Valley and its history. The highlight was the last stop- visiting the wine, olive oil and honey producer. He was excellent with a brilliant sense of humour!
Cannot recommend this tour enough - please book, you won't be disappointed!

Our tour of the winery was just amazing the views and the food were absolutely delicious we arrived a little late for our tour and they still accommodated us with a private tour to get us caught up the staff was great would definitely recommend a tour at this winery be sure to have the lunch or dinner you will be delighted

I booked an E-bike wine tour of Saint Emilion with Winerist. The process was really simple and they were extremely responsive to all my requests. The tour itself was amazing, the guide was really engaging and informative. We tried lots of delicious wines and visited two impressive wineries. Would definitely recommend.
