Dinning table and chairs
We bought our dining room table and chairs from Woodstock at the Hylands flower show.
VAS the seller was extremely professional and put no pressure on us to buy as the quality of the product sold itself.
As it was the last day of the show, he gave us a great deal.
The table and chairs were delivered as promised and the table was erected in a professional manner.
Excellent value for money and would thoroughly recommend to others.

I would not recommend this parasol
I would not recommend this parasol. I should have realised when purchasing the item at the Ideal Home Exhibition. I was quoted £1200 initially by one of the gentlemen. Continued looking around the garden section and decided that this was the best parasol. On my return I was quoted £1300 by another person. Alarm bells should have started ringing as to why no price on the item. I did purchase at the original price quoted of £1200. Item was delivered on time. Set up and demonstrated. These are the pluses. However the parasol is not as sturdy as it looks. Slightest wind it rattles and is extremely noisy. It can be cumbersome putting it up and taking it down. And the most annoying issue I saw the same item in a garden centre in Kent for £675. I now which I had bought a pergola.

Firstly, we would like to point out that this is the first time we have heard of any concerns regarding your parasol, as no contact was made with our office following delivery and installation. Had you contacted us directly, we would have been more than happy to discuss your concerns and provide advice on the operation and performance of the product.
With regard to movement and noise in windy conditions, this is a characteristic of cantilever parasols of this type, regardless of where they are purchased. A parasol is effectively a large umbrella and, by design, will move when subjected to wind. This movement helps to dissipate wind pressure rather than resist it rigidly. The substantial granite base provides stability and ensures the parasol remains securely anchored, but some movement of the canopy and frame is entirely normal.
In addition, your parasol is fitted with a side tilt adjustment that allows the canopy angle to be altered depending on the position of the sun and prevailing wind conditions. When used correctly, this feature can help reduce wind resistance on the canopy and improve performance in breezy weather. Had you contacted our office, we would have been able to explain how best to utilise this function and address any concerns you had regarding movement or noise.
You also mention that you now feel a pergola may have been a better option. Whilst we appreciate your view, a pergola and a parasol are very different structures designed for different purposes. A pergola is a fixed installation, whereas a parasol is intended to provide flexible, movable shade. As such, their performance in windy conditions cannot be directly compared.
Regarding the pricing, during the Ideal Home Exhibition our supplier notified us of a price increase on these parasols, which required us to review our pricing. However, we were pleased to honour the original quotation of £1,200 that had been given to you, despite the increase in our own costs.
You have also stated that you subsequently saw what you believe to be the same parasol for £675. If you would be willing to send us the details of the product you saw, we would be happy to review this. In our experience, products can often appear similar while differing significantly in specification, materials, warranty, or manufacturer.
We are pleased that delivery, installation, and demonstration were completed on time and to your satisfaction. We remain available to assist with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the use of your parasol and would encourage customers to contact us directly so that we have the opportunity to help resolve any issues before they become a source of disappointment.

Show at Christmas- lovely salesman who couldn’t do enough for us - kept informed every step of the way. Great delivery, turned up almost to the minute, very helpful and friendly.

When I read about the fire my first thoughts were OMG I've lost my table and chairs. But after just one email conversation my fears were put at ease and delivery arrangements were agreed. My new table and chairs were delivered and assembled for me and how to use explained by a very professional team. Superb furniture, superb quality and superb service. We purchased our table and chairs at a build show, we were just starting our new build and wouldn’t be ready for delivery for quite some time, Woodstock were happy to keep our items until they were needed. During this time,Woodstock had a terrible fire at their warehouse but still honoured our purchase, even upgrading our chairs as ours were unfortunately lost in the fire. We love our new table and chairs so thank you, Woodstock Home and garden

Delivery Problems at Woodstock
I ordered the garden furniture in September 2024 with a deposit of £1000 and expected delivery in March 2025. I was requested to make the final payment of £1600 in February 2025 which I did. In March I contacted Woodstock to confirm a delivery date at which time they informed me (for the first time) that they had had a fire in their warehouse in December 2024 which had destroyed their stock. Apparently the insurers were being slow in paying out their claim and they didn't know when I would receive my furniture. Given the situation I don't think Woodstock should have requested the final payment in February. I wasn't sure I would ever receive the furniture but they did finally deliver it in June. Please note that I am now happy with the furniture.
