I know Writing Creek is an affiliate of Edusson; the two platforms share everything, from managers to support, the same orders, and similar recruitment processes. Given that background information, I registered for a writer position on Writing Creek's sister platform (Edusson) early this year. Everything went smoothly, and I managed to pass all the tests because I am a high-quality writer and good at English grammar. Having passed all the tests, the company requested that I provide photos of my documents (ID and bachelor's degree certificate) for verification. Since I had left my academic documents in my rural home, I had to travel 900 KM from Mombasa (Coast Region) to Western Kenya to take fresh photos in the right format as requested.

By the time I reached Bungoma, the company sent me this message: "Dear writer-6243953
We appreciate your interest in Edusson and the time you've invested in applying for the Freelance Writer account opening. Unfortunately, we have declined your application because we did not receive the required documents to verify your account.
We wish you the best of luck in your professional journey!"

That was so absurd and shocking; first, because the company did not provide the timeline within which I was to provide the documents; and secondly, because the HR manager did not send me a message notifying me of the delay or approaching deadline.
I wrote them a message, along with the required documents, explaining my case. Luckily, one manager (Camilla) understood my situation and approved my documents.
Nevertheless, trouble did not stop at this point. The company claimed to have made calls to verify my phone number, which I never received nor saw their missed calls. I even provided an alternative number with better network coverage in case the first one had connectivity issues with international calls, but the manager insisted that they would only call the initial number. Camilla asked me to give her a specific time to call, which I did, only for her to say that she had declined my application. I have written to the company expressing my dissatisfaction but the management has remained non-responsive.
Based on this experience, I feel that's a very unprofessional and insensitive way of treating qualified and competent professionals who have taken their time to pass through the company's rigorous and cumbersome recruitment process.
To exacerbate my pain, I spent my little savings on a long journey to comply with the company's hiring requirements.
I believe that Writing Creek/ Edusson can be a better company by treating its writers with dignity and listening to such genuine concerns as mine with the view of reviewing some of the decisions to improve customer experience.

Thank you for your feedback albeit responding tangentially. What you are doing is victim blaming where you are unfairly assigning me the responsibility of informing you of the "impending delay" yet you did not specify the timeframe within which I was to submit the documents.
On the phone call verification, I categorically informed the manager (Camilla) that I did NOT receive any missed calls, and even went ahead to give an alternative number but she remained adamant. I kept waiting for the call on the initial phone number to no avail.
I was traumatized by the extremely unpleasant experience on your platform.
Shockingly, you are sarcastically inviting me to repeat the process and endure the same loss, pain, and trauma. Are you going to take care of my antidepressants and other psychotropic medications?

A Great Company to Work With for Freelance Academic Writers!!!

This website is biased as every time i have tried for the grammar test even all my answers are 100% correct but still facing error of you dont earned much points.

these people are scammers, I have been working there for more than a year and I am an advance level writer, iI haven't used my account for 2 months as it was low season and every time I log in to my account, there was no available order, after 2 months of this I received an email that my account is terminated as I have violated a policy, what policy huh??? When I have nit even logged the account. Then I emailed the writer's department, and they changed the subject that I had been performing poorly. Why? However, I have almost 30 5-star reviews on 3 starts and only 1-star reviews. And my overall rating was 4.6. Do you call it poor?

I'm so excited to have been promoted to intermediate writer level on WritingCreek! I joined the platform as a beginner just a few months ago, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have grown my skills and knowledge. So, it has been a month on this platform and I have mixed feelings. Everything except the payment method(waiting 14 days for the payment to be released into your "Available Balance" and almost the same time to get it in your Payoneer)works fine when you are a "Beginner" or "Intermediate" writer. I have noticed that for some reason, as soon as I reached the "Advanced" rank after completing fifty orders, the number of orders I can bid on and the ratio of bids being accepted has drastically dropped. I was expecting the situation to be the opposite of this but I do not know how things work here since there is a lack of transparency on the inner workings. I emailed the support staff but I just got a generic copy-paste reply which would have made sense if I was not getting enough orders at the "Beginner" and "Intermediate" ranks. I do not want to follow the herd on this platform and jump to the conclusion that this is a worthless company, so far I've had a good overall experience but if this situation of not getting orders continues then I will have to write another honest review. The next update will be next month on the 5th.

I joined this company recently and I am loving the experience. Besides,competitive compensation for the work done, it provides clear guidelines through its adaptation programme, making the writing experience smeamless and efficient. I look forward to a better and brighter future.

Don't use this website.The "Writing Creek" website claims to offer professional writing services, but in reality, it falls far short of expectations. Firstly, the website has a confusing layout and is difficult to navigate, making it hard to find the information you need. The website also lacks any sort of visual appeal or aesthetic, which makes it seem unprofessional and untrustworthy.

This is a scam/fake website because i correct all of mcqs 100% and they told me you not gained enough point its mean its a fake only waste of time.
And the funny thing is that when i asking from support team that how much points i got in mcqs plz tell me he did know about mcqs he ask what is mean by mcqs 😂😂

I am not satisfied with this website every time it says you have not gained enough points. They should ask question related to the subjects they have asked. I have never heard about non continuous stative verbs. Please improve ask questions related to subjects. My grammar skills are not soo good.

I'm a full-time freelancer, working with three platforms: Upwork, writershub, and writing creek. Out of these three, I have come to like and enjoy the services offered by creek. This company is much more professional and user-friendlier. If you love reading and writing extensively, this is the best platform. Shoot your shot!

Writing Creek is one of the best platforms for academic writers because timely payments, stable workflow, and responsive management/support. All that a writer needs to do is pass qualification tests and deliver quality work while adhering to the company rules and regulations.

This account pretends to hire writers all over the world, but it is a lie. I had previously heard that they were choosy and racist but did not believe it until I tried. I have tried the grammar test several times, but upon completion they would say that I don't have enough points. All the answers were correct. I am an English teacher and tutor. Upon trying to sign up after changing my IP address to match an Asian country, I passed the test. I repeated the procedure just to be sure, and now I am confident that this company is biased, RACIST. SHAME ON YOU WRITINGCREEK FOR BEING BIASED AND RACIST. Why do you discriminate us because of our skin color! Our academic qualifications are far better compared to some of the support stuff. SHAME ON YOU WRITINGCREEK!

Writing is my hobby, so getting a chance to work with creek was a great opportunity to generate additional income from what I enjoy doing during my free time

It is strange a Bulgarian (or Ukranian) company,with no actual address , no understanding of working english or otherwise themselves(read their own website content) and a poorly framed 'english' test full of errors,are claiming to provide world class service to unsuspecting students around the world and also expecting high proficiency in english from writers.Is this a joke or a scam?

At the beginning, a writer has to struggle to get orders due to high competition, but as time goes by, you start gaining the confidence of customers who assign you jobs. All in all, everything is smooth and legit. When you work with creek, you are guaranteed of your hard-earned money. I love the experience.
