Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs

I ordered four items from Storm Xccessories Ltd, and the experience has been appalling. My order arrived in multiple shipments, with two boxes initially delivered containing only part of the order. I emailed customer service to inform them I was still waiting on two items. They claimed these were shipped in additional boxes, and the rest of the delivery would follow.

Two days later, I received another box, but one item (seat covers) was still missing. I reached out again, only to be told the missing item was supposedly in one of the original boxes. It wasn’t.

I requested a replacement or refund, but they refused. I even asked for the CCTV footage they claimed to have of the warehouse packing my order, but now they’ve stopped responding entirely.

This has been an absolute nightmare—shocking customer service and zero accountability. Avoid this company at all costs!

I ordered lots of accessories for my Defender, mats, steps, wheel arch trims, mud guards, etc. The wheel arches were not brand new, one warped, one with rippled plastic. The workshop fitting these parts raised the issue but Storm Xcessories refused to replace as outside of their 7 day notification period. I explained that although I had checked all the parts ordered, it only became apparent when fitted and that would be impossible to achieve in 7 days. They refused to budge so I’m now perusing a claim through my credit card company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. SUBSTANDARD PRODUCTS WITH SUBSTANDARD SERVICE.

If I could 0 I would. Barely a year after installing side steps on my Defender, they have corroded very badly. Asked for advice, fobbed off saying it’s my fault, product out of warranty, ‘Many Thanks’, goodbye…

Stay away from this guys also know as Risper Styling the products are bad I ordered a gloss black spoiler and it came unpainted with air bubbles the claim from the images it is painted even though I have it in front of me

I have been buying from the team at Storm for over 10 years now and purchased a huge range of items for my vehicles and always received excellent service, hence coming back time after time.

Bought a set of wheels and tyres for my Hilux. absolutely love the wheels. They came fully fitted and balanced. I popped them on at the weekend and they look great. I spoke with Phil when ordering and his advice on choice was excellent and very helpful. I will definitely be back for some more bits in the future

bought a roller shutter which fitted great, joe was really helpful with pointing me in the right direction of what to get, and he got Ben to come and fit it which he did really quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use again

Poor quality roof rails. On asking for a return they have eventually agreed. The cost of sending the items back to Northern Island and their restock cost taken is so expensive it makes it pointless. Buyer beware.....

I purchased a set of Jaguar F pace side steps that arrived with no instructions and the product was built to a poor standard with paint flaking off the brackets and bubbling along with a cheap look and overall feel to the product. The box didn’t contain any instructions and the ones they showed on their website only give the first page. I emailed the company on multiple occasions and didn’t get a response at all, I used all three that were shown on their website!!!! I also tried calling and again no reply, the only option remaining was to go online and try and find the instruction manual. I did manage to find some instructions but the steps fitted slightly different with these ones getting secured from the underside of the step with the online instructions stating they should be secured from the actual side of the step, I would of preferred the later for a more secure fit!!! I’m not holding out on these lasting very long as the underside is made out of aluminium which is where the steps are held into place and with the force created when driving it’s likely to rip them out of the flimsy aluminium. The money I paid doesn’t reflect the quality of the product or the customer service provided, AVOID AND LOOK ELSEWHERE LIKE MOST OF THE REVIEWS STATE. I didn’t read the reviews before purchase but you are so please take this information on and find a company that will support you.

No Contact since selling Roof rails that will not take roof crossbars, The advert says they can take loads up to 50kg which is great if there was a crossbar that would fit the roof rails, emailed , no reply, quick to take the money and deliver, just no after service. Avoid

Just a heads up about a company called Storm Xccessories that sell side steps for the discovery, I purchased a set of black ones from their web site and they had paint flaking off brand new… no etching primer in fact no primer on the aluminium. They ignored my initial email and eventually arranged for new ones to be sent out…. New ones came and had paint flaking off also. Sent originals back as arranged and contacted them about refunding for the replacements and returning them…. Ignored my emails until I managed to get various people on the phone… they said they were going to do a partial refund and I keep the replacements…. They couldn’t say how much but would come back to me when they had decided…. Monday I received £30 back into my bank account…. Emailed and said I didn’t want to keep them and I hadn’t agreed to £30 refund for £260 item I didn’t want because it was defective and a waste of money and was no good, they seem to think they have fulfilled their responsibilities by making a token refund and are now ignoring my emails… I will be posting this review far and wide….

Purchased wind deflectors for transit van, one of which failed after 3000 miles due to a manufacturing defect (the edge that fits into the window was <1mm thick). Contacted the company but they would not replace as the item was just outside of the warranty period - despite the defect being present when it left their premises. Will order a replacement from a company that doesn't send out substandard product in the hope that it outlasts the warranty period.

Sent item back and lost my money do not use this company they are lucky they are not in England

Tonneau cover hard top, purchased from Storm accessories in January 2022 due to delay of new vehicle it was not fitted until mid April 2022. Corrosion was found and reported on the 1st of April 2023 They are not going to do anything about it stating that it is out of warranty. Corrosion after 11 moths of use? The paint coating is not of merchantable quality. I explained that the cover was not fitted until mid April, as yet I have not received a response.

2015 honda Crv side steps absolute garbage. Not fit for purpose, my mechanic who fitted them for me advised me not to step on them!!!

Purchased them so my 5 year old little girl could climb in and out of the car safely and the steps are already bending out of shape from her little weight

The wording used on their website to describe the steps is complete misleading lies, they are cheap light crap and I was totally ripped off out of my hard earned money and I'm so utterly disappointed in the this company, shame on them for selling such tripe to people.

In fairness to them they offered me a full refund if I returned them, but after having already paid to have them fitted...to have to pay to have them taken off again, then pay to post them back it wouldn't be worth my while so I'm stuck with crap side steps that no one can step on...thanks a million storms accessories

Do not use this company!
I purchased side steps for my Hyundai Santa. When I came to fit them there were no instructions. Contacted the company and they were provided over the internet, Hence one star.
Fitting the side steps was a much bigger problem, they were not long enough to fit !!!.Contacting the company resulted in a strange response.
Technical department said this does happen and you have to heat the plastic to reshape it !!!!
I felt that this product was NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE and requested a refund. After a number of calls it was eventually said that I could return the package to Ireland, albeit at my expense. Around 35 pound!! They would then endeavour to provide a refund.
Buyer beware.
